So sad to hear of Richard H Kirk's passing today.A true innovator and visionary in electronic music.
RIP, Richard H. Kirk
Your awesome work has been the soundtrack for over 40 years of my life.
What a great song and album!
RIP R.H.KIRK!
RIP RHK. A true pioneer. Thanks for making it messy and fun!
Great news! This tune is totally rad and on-point. It invokes the early 80's CV sound, infusing it within the framework of a contemporary Industrial Techno track. Richard H. Kirk always has his finger on the pulse of cutting-edge electronic music.
AGREED!
True that.
It is probably the only number of them that I don't know... not really impressed. I love Wrangler much more. This is kind of boring. Too little freakiness of their kind.
Sho you right!
Best thing about 2020!
Easily!
Your not wrong
True legends of another perception 😖
2021
For sure sir!
Awesome! The last CV album I own is International Language. Great to see CV releasing music again almost 30 years later
Oh yeah, this has Richard H. Kirk written all over it. CAN'T WAIT!
I forgot how much I used to dig this sh-t. Too bad I'm listening on one speaker. I need headphones or a club with a good DJ. And possibly some illicit substances. Those days may be over, but I'll take what I can get.
*I wonder why Richard H. Kirk decided to release this as a Cabaret Voltaire album instead of a RHK album if Stephen Mallinder isn't on it?*
*But I'm happy he's releasing some new music- 1 of my favorite musicians!*
EGGSACKLEY!
Kudos to Richard Kirk, for everything - and yes - it would pass more honest if released under his own name which speaks volumes. This way, presenting it as something it is not entirely, leaves a mere illusion. And the fans greeting it as "Cabaret Voltaire" sound just like the music - flogging the living legend... The track has an interesting premise but after its initial build-up, the intrigue of the brutal electro-façade is quickly smashed, revealing a doodling play-safe reinterpretation (it's not hard to think of "Walk East", "Eastern Mantra" and especially "Yashar").
For one thing, there is no way I would have ever heard this song. I only stumbled onto CV because they share a label with Severed Heads.
Totally
I even went to the real Cabaret Voltaire in Zuerich, because of you, Love you 4ever.
I recall going to see Richard at some experimental affair at the Festival Hall in London with people up for a random noodle squiggle kind of an evening and people complaining when Kirk hit that 4/4 bass drum sound for the next forty minutes as support, rocking out frantically across his machines. It wasn't what my friends were expecting but I thought it was great, he was so in the moment. Good evening all round, though I can't for the life of me remember who came on after him!
Can’t say I’m Hypnotised by this but great to think there’s new Cabs music in the offing after all this time! 👍
Album on pre-order. Light in a year of darkness. Welcome any release from CV regardless of line up.
'WELCOME CV INTO YOUR LIFE!'
Gobsmacked !!!!! R.H.Kirk and Cabaret Voltaire !!!!! New music !!!!! Never forget seeing you live at Masonic Temple in Toronto in early eighties !!!!! Felt like you were playing just for me, I think I was the only one dancing !!!!!!! Got a boot cassette of the show many many many years later !!!!! Good day for new releases !!!
I do wish Stephen were still part of the band, but I'm happy that Richard is carrying on the tradition and taking it to new directions. It's strange too since I've recently been on a RHK / Sandoz / Electronic Eye kick... :D :D :D :D :D
maybe try this out: chunkrecords.bandcamp.com/album/electronic-babylon
i'm glad Stephen is doing Wrangler as it is miles above this. this is NOT Cabaret Voltaire
That's weird, I was trying out mixes between Virtual State, The Magic of Numbers, and the Trucker Bombers of Suburbia just last night. There's something in the air!
This is just excellent. Thank you! And welcome back!
Yes please! As a lifelong (am old now people) Cabs fan, I adore this dark but beautiful tune..well that's what it is 2 me! Wonderful!! X
Same here! 😎
Keep on keeping on! Xx
Glad to see you guys are back.
just heard the bad news. RIP Richard H Kirk, your music is still playing here, and you will join Edward Ka-Spel's lament in So Gallantly Screaming: "God how we need you now."
I thought for sure, I might get to see Cabaret Voltaire perform when this was all over...
The same name of the city “Vasto” in Italy where you made a memorable djset in 2017 during the Siren Festival. It was a really great show for me. Thanks
Lovin it! Thanks for reviving this incredible pioneering band.
Absolutely marvellous, what the world has truly been waiting for. All the Richard H Kirk trademarks, sounds like classic Cabs yet so in synch with the madness of 2020! Shame Stephen Mallinder isn't involved though but totally loving this to bits and blasting it through my headphones on repeat!
So groovy, LOVE CV. Can't wait for Nov 2020. What a treat for our ears, minds and bodies.
The more than undervalued electronic topband Cabaret Voltaire is back. Great song!
Welcome back, RHK! How I missed you, man
Has that modern Techno thump/beat but I hear good ole CV weaving through the sound. Curious to hear the entire new album when released.
RIP RHK
He soundtracked my entire life.
The same here.
Past, present & future neatly wrapped up.... a triumphant return!
nice to see, too, they have retained the original font for the writing on the cover !
The Cab's are back.CABARET VOLTAIRE FOREVER !
I somehow missed the announcement that this was even happening! The whole thing is amazing.
Thank you Richard...Again.
Fantastic my career was sculpted round music like this, gonna get this
Yes Kirky you were always right to be paranoid. So on point! definitely faithful yet of the times. Is right Kirky!!!!
I like this!!!!! New stufl from an electronic music pioneer
Class will always out.......
Sounds bang on point....
3 month wait ..... I can live with that
Old meets new. Welcome back Caberet Voltaire.

Oh yeah! That's the stuff!!!
2020 isn't so bad after all!
Yess CV came in on the clutch 26 years later they're like hey we're still here!!
@@Dancerphiliac They haven't lost a step!
@@shaunhamilton8217 I love them so much. I seriously listen to them almost every day. Especially when i work out lol
@@Dancerphiliac I can see why! Definitely music to get the blood pumping.
one year ago rhk left us. sorely missed.
Can’t wait to hear more!
so many great phases of CV conjured here... their world music phase... the anarchist fomenting a revolution phase... the spy hacker phase... the spy defusing a bomb phase... the generally coked up 90s...
There's 70 billion people in there!
Lyrics are actually " The 70 billion people of Earth, where are they hiding?" ruclips.net/video/NDBb5bqxUhw/видео.html
@@christianthomas4677 LOL I've had it wrong for 30 years, appreciate the clarification :-)
Where are they hiding?
So good!!
Already pre ordered. Dont wait so long for next record. Looking for a follow up to Red Mecca next :)
yes, yes and thrice YES!!!
This jus sounds...PROPER.
YES! Classic CV. I love it. Can’t wait to hear the full album.

WOLVES RUN..TO GET THE NEW CABS ALBUM....
mortal man tries to keep up behind them, arrives 15 mins later, white as a sheet and barely able to breath.
"i'll >gasp< have >pantpantpant< one >wheeze< of >puffpuff< those >gulp< too!!!!"
>faints<
"...the man was later heard to say "It wuz well worth it!"....and now, the weather with Jane. Jane?..."
"Thanks Tom. He's not wrong...i've been playing it on the drive in all week. Classic Cabaret Voltaire washing over me like this incoming rain storm will be that's approaching us from the south east today that's going to make us all moist....."
Thomas Carnacki haha 👏! You must be a writer ! I dig ... yea it’s time to put the whole CV catalogue on rotation. I rarely get excited about a new album, mostly because I’m just bad about keeping up, but this one is going on the calendar ! 🤘🏻
Thomas Carnacki wow thank you 🙏 😭. Means a lot. 💗
New Cabs? (commenter makes delighted squealing noise)!!!
I just bought this on itunes into only a minute of play!
Is this "bumpin'" or not?
The Cabaret? Voltaire? God, we are lucky. The Cabaret Voltaire with the running machines and their sampler magic machines. One left (Florian), but someone else is knocking our door. Lucky us!
WTF?
I have a lot of RHK solo stuff which this sounds very similar to. Considering I’m talking about a few years ago I hope the new CV album will be more inspirational and forward thinking. Nothing wrong with this track, it’s just that it’s not exactly ground breaking, even for CV. Do I Need it.?
Good stuff !
We waiting for more and videos too !!
So hyped on the new album
Cant wait for this! It has been way too long!!!
Fantastic, reminds a bit of "Easy Life"
this is awesome
Ace!!!! Can't wait for album
Excellent
JUST GREAT
CHANGING-NESS itself is never change.!! TueM. Japan
Sheffield’s finest. Needs a DJ to redline this at a Attercliffe rave.
WOW ...i wish Stephen to get some voices on it.

Rest In Peace Richard!
It has been 26 years
Fantastic news!!...sounds awesome!!.....but where's Stephen?
Eggsackley!
Pretty good for 2020. Kino was the 1st.. then Dont Argue. Dont change your point of view. Yep yep. Fun memories.
I Love Wrangler!
se puede i love wrangler y se puede i love CABS NO?
yo i love Joy Division and i love New Order también, no problem!
buen track!
Warm Leatherette (The Normal) V's Leftfield (open up) STAMP.
Two good tunes but I don’t hear it
I agree!!!👍👍👍
Sheffield, so much to answer for...unbelievable that this album has happened. Like some kind of freelance sleeper, Cabaret Voltaire have self-activated, hitting the road at 100 mph. 2020 vision.
Yes!
lovelovelove
We want Mal
Very cool!
Reminds me of Kirk's work under the name Nitrogen that he released in '97. Not complaining, but do hope there's more to the album as that wasn't one of my favorites.
Where's Mal?????????
in Wrangler ... :)
To the fucking moon.
AWESOME
Brilliant
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!!!!
bum bum bum
R.i.P Richard H.Kirk

Stoked!!🔥
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🤩❤❤❤
Sorry, but without Mallinder this is just a Kirk solo album masquerading as Cabaret Voltaire. This track even sounds like it could have been on his last album, Dasein. There goes the hope I've had for years that they'd reunite, at least for some shows.
don't care
I was the biggest advocate of Cabaret Voltaire during my DJ career in the Chicago underground & alternative club scene in the 1980’s. I always incorporated several CV tracks into my mixes every night at the Smart Bar, Cabaret Metro, Medusa’s and Berlin. CV lost me though after the release of their album “Code”, sadly enough. What came after that was absolute rubbish. I just now accidentally found out that this was released in 2020 and am SO GLAD Rickard Kirk dropped the god-awful, cheap and tacky house-music vibe. THIS is Cabaret Voltaire in all it‘s glory!! Welcome back!
Its missing something............
or rather, someone.
