Imagine the stop motion videos you could make with these figures. This super detail oriented work looks so satisfying - I love that you put gloss on the rifle's scope lenses
Thank you! Yeah I often get asked what stickers or decals I use which is such a compliment so I thought I'd use the chest design to show people I actually do hand paint everything 😂
Thank you so much, it's hard to balance whether the video should be 3hrs long with everything or 30 mins sped up, still testing videos out to see what people prefer 😂
@@bebbart i don’t know if you remember but I was the guy that talked to you quite often on instagram and told you I wanted to get a couple customs made by you and I told I wouldn’t be able to be on instagram after that and we never got to collaborate on the commander v custom
Never ceases to amaze me dude! Your work is insane! Like how is the it even possible for you logo on the chest to come out so clean!!!! Thanks for making the video! Loved it !
Soo cool!!! The hand painting is impressive! Now i'm aware you did this one a while ago now. So I'm unsure if you're gonna see this comment. But if you do I was certainly interested in if you have a shop or somewhere I can buy or download the schematics to even print it myself for the ark trooper kit. Because they just seem better with more detail and fit on the black series bodies better than the one other ones I find which break apart and require so much more glue. Like the legs/skin guards there a whole piece and look cleaner and better than the other ones I find.
@@chellohello2396 hey bud I'm not able to sell the 3d files or the physical prints themselves only fully made painted customs which I take on orders on my Instagram. However there's a patreon to be able to print the files yourself from D.S.Artwork over on Instagram
Insane skills on that tiny paintwork. Your videos have partly inspired and helped me to paint my own clone, thank you! Edit: design question out of curiosity: while the chest logo is obviously amazing, it is obscured by the pouch. I assume this is as commissioned, but if the choice was yours, would you have either reworked the logo to somehow incorporate the chest pouch, or maybe left the chest pouch off entirely? Or is this how you'd do it? I think adapting the logo to the presence of the pouch could've been interesting creatively.
Glad to hear it mate, for the pouch it's hard to see as I've sped it up but it's applied with blu tac and not glued meaning that it can be removed or swapped sides depending on the customers preference to see the full logo or not, I normally do glue that pouch onto the chest but I used blu tac just so the customer could have the option
I understand that you use cheap brushes but how do you get the paint to apply like you do? It seems like you are using the paintbrush like a pencil and I cannot wrap my head around it. Is it a mixture of the right amount of pressure applied and water added to the paint? Or some other magic?
@@cophoenix88 I water my paints down to a consistency that I like and I don't overload my paint brush with paint so I have the most control so I can put the paint exactly where I want rather than the paint spilling into where it wants to, brush control and paint consistency just comes with practice, everyone does things differently than everyone else
Insane work, no decals, airbrushing, or masking blows my mind! Do you do orders just for extra black series hands/helmets? (I definitely want a full figure eventually but I need to come up with something worthy of commissioning)
@@bebbart I damaged one of the hip joints during the disassembly. The hip is a bit loose and is wiggling when I try to reattach the leg. Do you have any suggestions on how I can get this leg back on?
@@NicBroInc if it's the joint that's damaged I'd suggest maybe glue it on but idk. I did that once when I didn't heat up the thigh part correctly and I basically had to bin the body as it wasn't suitable for what I wanted
Haha I'm working as fast as I can, it's taken so long as I was ill for 3 months and also the last time I opened up I took on 2 lists instead of 1 so as you can see with double the work and 3 months off it's been a struggle but now I'm back to work!
