Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! are upcoming role-playing video games (RPGs) developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. The games are the first installments of the Pokémon RPG series for the Nintendo Switch. They are enhanced remakes of the 1998 Game Boy video game Pokémon Yellow. They will also contain influences from Pokémon Go, as well as integration with Go, and will support a new optional controller called the Poké Ball Plus. The games are scheduled to be released worldwide on November 16, 2018
Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! are set in the Kanto region and will include the original 151 Pokémon creatures in addition to their respective Mega Evolved and Alolan forms from Pokémon X and Y & Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and Sun and Moon. Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! will feature common elements of the series, such as battling non-player character Pokémon Trainers and Gym Leaders with caught Pokémon creatures. However, instead of battling them like the traditional battle system of other major Pokémon role-playing games (RPGs), the catching of Pokémon creatures uses a different mechanic that is based on the mobile spin-off game Pokémon Go where players throw Poké Balls at a wild Pokémon by using the motion controls of the Joy-Con controller.

the platform its referring to is actually the one jutted-out bit in the centre at around 6:14, i found a helix fossil there.

Fun fact: in the room with the all the glistening spots, there's a crystal in the center of the room, that's where you find your fossils! I collected an old Amber off mine

You can also get old amber from the pewter lab
You can get infinite of them from the cave though, the reason you might want to do this is each time you resurrect a fossil theres a chance it will be shiny, also you can trade them for candies from the professor
I found an old Amber in a random spot near mewtwo as well. I just think there is a chance to find them anywhere.
He said I have a really high catch combo, proceeds to close the game.
You can also do this in the Underground Path (between Cerulean City and Vermilion City) and Nuggets, Pearls, and Big Pearls will frequently spawn. Though there is no visible indication of their location so you have to rely solely on Pikachu's/Eevee's tail to locate them.

A few things to note from my own experience!
In the large floor with the shiny patches:
1. The glistening rock in the middle is usually the one where I have gotten my fossils. They are not too rare! I have gotten 2-3 in the span of about 15 minutes.
2. You definitely do not need to leave the room or wait a very long time for items to respawn there (self-tested!) You can literally just run around in circles on the same floor and new items will always respawn at least within 20-30 seconds. Farming the items this way can also help you find chance shinies, or can be a great place to shiny chain while you get items.
Respawn is based on number of steps you take, i never counted but if you run around the whole room 2-3 times that is enough steps to respawn the items
The fossil respawns as you walk as well right? Or is it a daily thing

There is no moonstones shortage. The moonstones respawn in Mount moon go back the next day

You can also buy them and all other stones in a store somewhere

I honestly didn't think I would enjoy this game but after I got it and played I am loving it I hope they continue this side series with new entries as well as the main series
Did you know that if you press b during a wild pkmn encounters, you will be automatically asked if you want to run, so you don't need to go down in the menu?
Or if you have the pokeball, press the top of the ball and it does the same. Figured this out by accident yesterday.

This is super useful if your in a catch combo and a Pokémon is running away. As long as you run away first the combo keeps.

Bro. I was shiny hunting for a Vulpix and I was hovering in the sky on m Charizard and then a wild Moltres spawned up. I about crapped my pants. That means they could spawn shiny!!

Yes! Loving this game. My husband grew up with pokemon everything. He got me into it, and this is absolutely my favorite version. You can't go wrong with better graphics and additional new moves alongside original story lines. Not to mention having a pokeball controller! Can't wait for additional generations of pokemon to be added to it!
I love it because its simple with the orignal 151 the ammount of pokemon id like at most is like the 350 in omega ruby

dude thanks! I'm farming stuff in Cerulean cave right now, and no joke I legit found 4 helix and 1 dom fossil in the span of about 10 minutes. so I can confirm it's not timer based how rare the item is! I found all of them a few minutes apart at the big crystal in the middle of the top floor, and the small platform in the basement that was mentioned here in the comments.
wth i thought fossils spawn only one per day!
I wanna make a chart and collect 100 items or group of items. It's like one of those things where you want to see the percentage lol
Also use Pikachu's for Eevee's tail in the Copycat's house in Saffron. It makes it WAY easier to get a moon stone

I forgot how much i loved this game! I ended up restarting my save file earlier today and found a shiny pokemon around an hour in with full odds
I really like this. Its gunna help a lot . Thanks my dude!
I found that catching Grimer on cinnabar island with Great balls for at least 20 times in a row, made it super easy to catch afterwards with pokeballs. That way i was able to only catch Grimer and get up to 5k exp when hitting it with excellent throw. I got my party up to lvl 100 in no time
Anybody remember in pokemon silver / gold
equipping their Pokémon with rare candies and master balls and putting them in the pc box saving the game then shutting off their gameboy to get duplicates
Did that in crystal it was nice

Yup and trading Pokemon from red and blue holding master balls after doing the 99 item glitch
PS people have also found that the moon stones in Mt Moon respawn. I also figured you'd like to know you can protect your combo by running away if you miss your first throw. I loved your video on combo chaining but I don't remember you mentioning this. It seems as long as the Pokemon your chaining doesn't run away or you catch another Pokemon your good you don't have to catch every Pokemon of the same type to keep that combo going you just cant let them run away from you!

well with the way catching works in this game you kinda need them unless they made it never miss that is.

I've had 2 master balls from finds, I used one on a wild zapdos, one on Mewtwo, and still have one :D

I found an old Ember in the Iceicle in the platform on the normal platform - all of its on the same floor. I also recommend placing a rattata as your buddy Pokémon as it will dig up items you can sell like pearls and stardust - even if there isn’t any items in the patch.
Stick to the second floor :)

Then one day I was playing multiplayer with my cousin. He wanted to catch a Ditto. It was moving around so much we wasted my pokeballs and I accidentally threw my master ball.
I spent 5 hours in the cave and left with 13 master balls, you can always get more lol
I let my cousin play let's go and he sold my fossils 😥😭

Respawn of items in Cerulean Cave is time based in-game not daily like the other caves/tunnels. Balls I believe are 5 minutes and the others can take 15 minutes and fossils and Master ball (I think), take hours.
This is false, it is not based on time it is based on the number of steps taken, i found 13 master balls over the course of 5 hours of running circles around the cave. It takes the same # of steps for each spot to respawn, the chances of master ball spawning in any spot is less than 1% but i also ended up with hundreds of golden berries and fossils, good way to make money and farm shiny fossil Pokémon
All the items respawn every 15 minutes. Also, the longer you wait, the better items you get. Ex) wait 10 mins and get a poke ball and wait 1 hour and get 10 ultra balls
Did you even bother to watch the video? It's randomized. The items are generated upon pickup.
Does the fossil crystals take 15 mins as well?
256 steps to get them to respawn, just run a couple laps around the room on a mount.
Definitely isn't time based. I didn't find any more hidden items, and when I put the game in sleep mode and returned 14 hrs later, there still wasn't any new hidden items spawned. I have also returned after three days, and there was only like two items that had respawned.
What about Master balls?

I hope you have this all figured out by now ;) another good idea is to bring a water type buddy out of the ball. Buddies will find valuable items, and water types will also check water beds.
Ps, it is distance based respawns, not time.
Can confirm the crystal spire in the middle of the top floor @ 06:50 has fossils as well. Got two dome fossils out of it

I don't know if this is true, but I choose helix, went to cerulean cave, went to that platform before surfing to Mewtwo, and found a Dome fossil, I think is what you choose in Mt. Moon is shown up later which is pretty cool. (btw I found it at around 6:14)
Austin John --- The moon stones in mount moon are farmable too... I missed one of them in my first pass through mount moon and when I went back later they ones I had collected had respawned.

Moonstones are supposedly an item that can respawn daily (real world time) on floor 2 of Mt. Moon~ Not a shortage at all!

RUclips recommends me a video that has just come out and I learn you can farm Master Balls in Let's go. I've seen too many new things today
All you have to do is run around floor 2, items respawn based on number of steps, so run circles around the room checking all spots, even just farm exp by catching chansey and check spots in between encounters. I got 13 master balls in about 5 hours of doing this.
Pikachu and Eevee’s tails also twitch when they’re close to visible items, too! It’s actually how I figured out their itemfinder mechanic lol.
For people looking for fossils, you can get an Old Amber from a scientist on the right side of the building (behind the greeting desk thing) in the Pewter Museum of Science in Pewter City. You have to go behind a building and cut down a tree to get there. Bring it to the Cinnabar Lab in Cinnabar Island and you will get Aerodactyle for free. The guy at the lab doesn’t ask for it back :)

Hey Austin! I don’t have the game (yet) and I was wondering if you can use the left(blue) joy-con as player one and move around, throw pokeballs etc with it? I am left handed so if you can only use the right joy-con that would be a major inconvenience. Thanks!
Yes you can use the left joy-con, I am also left handed, and having the joystick higher on the joy-con is also more comfortable while you can use LZ as A aswell
Can confirm yes, you set player 1/2 when you start. My son is right handed and I'm left handed but he can't be trusted with player one yet

Funny how you can get golden berries, fossils, and even LITERALLY MASTERBALLS in cerulean cave, it has mewtwo, mega mewto, AND the best grinding method in the game. It really is a post-game thing.

The game you’re thinking about that involves going two areas away is to respawn enemies in Kingdom Hearts!
Found Amber, Omanyte, and Helix on the top floor, next to the ice on the center “island”. They respawn randomly but I’m up to ten of each. There’s a chance of finding one fossil on the platform before you surf to mewto’s platform. If you surf around her platform, there should be a pp max at the end of the water channel. On the second floor, far left, close to the ladders that go to mewto, is a rare candy. Found many respawning golden razz, Pinap, and nanab berries, lots of ultra, great and poke balls but not another master ball ,yet.

That’s where I farm exp. The chansey there are high level and give great amounts of exp! I basically run around in circles chaining them and picking up items and have had great luck with it. Got 4 helix fossils and have stayed around a constant 160 ultra balls since i started farming

If you let a Pokémon follow you around, there is a chance of them digging up pearls and star pieces, a good way to earn cash, however, I believe the bond of the Pokémon has to be quite high in order for it to do anything as originally I had Mew walking around and I was getting rewards almost constantly. But when I swapped to Mewtwo, I seemed to stop getting rewards from digging things up. This could be size but my guessing it’s bonds with the Pokémon. Just something I thought I could bring up.
Same my blastoise is always finding stuff and my other pokemon dont
At 3:08 where there’s the 2 crystals is where you can find the fossil. So far from that one spot I’ve got 2 Dome and one old amber.
And what fossil you choose in history mode?
I'm not interested in watching a 10min video of you reading serebii and trying (unsuccessfully) to figure something out. I learned this trick yesterday from a nice, brief, and correct video.

At 6:50, I found a second Old Amber at the base of that giant crystal by the mound to the left of the ladder. There are some items that are hidden at the non-glittering spots, but from my experience, they're not very many.
