Similar to the rules of the basketball game HORSE, we will take turns choosing levels to race through in Super Mario Sunshine. If you lose the level you get a letter, and the first person to lose 5 levels becomes a MOOSE and loses the game!
A coin flip is used to determine who gets to choose the first level.

You guys should have another versus of this game! The best part of the first versus was Tyler's mom getting angry at him. I loved how Josh was laughing so hard at that!

I've missed this. So much nostalgia! Once I've finished watching all my 'watch later' videos, (which is filled entirely of versus and attacking tucans videos, as I've just finished watching Josh's ALBW LP) I'm soooo gonna rewatch SMS Versus. It's just amazing!!

Also for the 5 year anniversary (trust me it'll come quicker than you think) of Super Mario Sunshine Versus: Do a rematch. I can't think of any better way to celebrate the series being 5 years old than to have a rematch to see if we'll have the same winner, or if the other guy will win. (I'm keeping this spoil free for those who haven't seen the original versus.) Plus it'd be so much nostalgia for Tyler and Josh to get back to their Versus roots.

They need to do more Mario sunshine stuff cuz that is still their best versus in my opinion and this episodes commentary was a lot better than most of their stuff recently so I think Mario sunshine really brings out the funniest in them

We need a super Verses of Mario Sunshine, like with Tyler, Josh, and Donna, all 3 lol, and have the "life lines" from the Mario Galaxy VS, where you can say stuff like "Assisted Suicide for Donna" then Donna has to kill herself, it would be sweet :)

Super Mario Sunshine...brings back memories to me. Some good, and some bad, but overall good times.
I do remember one time, though. There was one time where I was playing through one of the levels in Sunshine (Ricco Harbor - Episode 8), and I made it to the end of the level where normally you have to get off Yoshi before ground pounding to the Shine Sprite in the cage. But what happened was that when I did the spin jump to get to the cage, for whatever reason, I somehow managed to get THROUGH the cage WHILE RIDING ON YOSHI, and somehow got the Shine Sprite. Pretty odd but funny memory for me.
Anyway, based on what I saw in this MOOSE episode, I have a feeling Tyler is going to win this one! Unless Josh somehow makes a comeback. XD

Super Mario Sunshine Versus is still the best.
Sunshine was the first game that they did on Versus, and ironically this is the first Sunshine-related video on the Versus channel.

When Josh asked Tyler to flip a coin and he was standing on the sewer entry, I thought Tyler would go in and out of the sewer and see if landed on the sun or moon.
I was like, I hope they pick the secret under the village. 2 seconds later. "We shoud do the secret under the village." IM PSYCHIC!

At 13:20 all I could think was that one time in Mario 64 versus where Tyler asked josh if he would let a starving child in Africa eat him and josh said no and Tyler was all like RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!

When first playing Mysterious Hotel Delfino, it took me a little bit to find how that I could go through the door with the pineapple. I had remembered that in Super Mario 64 you couldn't take MIPS (the rabbit) through doors so I thought it applied to this game as well. lol
So much nostalgia!

I think you should keep the "challenger doesn't get a letter" rule consistent; it kinda gives away how one-sided the battle will be.

in the Serena Beach level that you guys did, you can actually just glitch through the the wall using a fruit I think, don't remember been a while since I watched a Glitchfest of this game.

Pokemon would be RLY boring to watch when the game isn´t rly about skill nor can you rly speedrun it. Paper mario sure since you can probably speedrun that.

RemedialChaos Well its not THAT speedrunnable. I mean you can go fast through it but that doesn´t mean its a ´´speedrun´´ there are allot of moments in the game where you are just stuck looking at text or having to go to the same city fighting the same gymleader + what are you gonna do about grinding? All that stuff adds up making pokemon not rly a speedrun game.
saveumberto Um... Pokemon Red or Blue can be done in under 3 hours if you just use the starter Pokemon and don't fight wild Pokemon and miss out TONS of stuff... I'd say that's pretty speedrunable if you ask me.
Ahhhh I remember thinking it was so rude of josh to scream at his dad like that but when he explains it better I understand.
tyler doesn't need the advantage but wouldn't it be funny to see josh try to get the red coins on the boat ride again. (don't know the name of the shine but i'm pretty sure anyone who saw that lps knows what i'm talking about)

You gave Josh a letter for his own choice. I thought the rule was if you won on your pick the opponent gets a letter. Although I must admit moose is neat. To bad I have no one to play it with or recording equipment. I would join in community versus if I did.

LopsidedPasta theres a glitch for the last mission they played this episode in sirena beach, where if you take a fruit to the glass wall for the pool area, backflip, throw the fruit, and hold up there is a chance you'll clip through the wall, right to the shine, it works most of the time and usually done with a banana but it doesn't need to be a banana
