The town of Tutzing is located around 40 km away from Munich and can be accessed via S6 Bahn from Munich Train Station. Apart from S6 Bahn you can also take Regional Express Trains (RE) by Deutsche Bahn (DB).

Starnbergersee is the 5th largest lake in Germany and it’s located in Bavaria. In terms of Water volume it’s the 2nd largest in Germany and it’s one of the most beautiful lakes in Germany.

You can visit Starnbergersee from Starnberg or from Tutzing. Both can be accessed via S Bahn. From Tutzing you can also have the spectacular views of Bavarian Alps and I Recommend to visit Tutzing to explore Starnbergersee.

Cruise is a must do activity in Starnbergersee and a 2 hours long journey will take you to various Towns located on the Lake. Highly recommended to do it in a Sunny day to get this best of your trip.

Boating is a must do activity too while you are in Starnbergersee. In Tutzing you will find a large number of small docks which are renting Electric and Sailing boats.

We opted for a Electric Boat as we were short on time but Sailing boat will also be a breathtaking experience.
