If you mix white gouache to watercolor, the watercolor properties become more gouache like (opaque). Watercolor is naturally transparent where is gouache is opaque. She’s definitely using her watercolor paint as if she’s painting with gouache especially because she’s not glazing.
Before seeing the supplies u use i thought it is gouache, but im quite surprised to see it is actually watercolor , and it can act similarly to gouache here, most of my watercolor is too-transparent

@@azariacaria no but he does have a point. A lot of artists use Ai art as reference now. Hyperealists also use existing images. Usually pieces as colour detailed and elaborate as these require some reference

The distinction wasn’t here a hundred years ago and probably less. Watercolour societies and competitions now limit the use of white in mixes and for touch ups and it’s just a made up contemporary standard that has made us think this way about opaque watercolour.

Yes it looks like she has used AI art image as reference as a few techincal things seem to be off about the shapes of the objects,such as handle of the pot, the woods going under the pot coaster and a lot many things as i can observe.
Can you share how you make the line art? Did you use an app and if so which one? I often use an app but it's never this perfect in detail. This is beautiful.

Yes, my watercolours are also transparent. But I used it like gouache. I really like this process and the results are pretty good :)
