I did not know how to paint with gouache properly but this video has taught me a lot. You make it a very special medium and you did not need any words to explain what you were doing, just the soft piano music to hold it together. Such a lovely experience and a very motivating one. I have gone from a melancholy mood to anticipation of trying a new medium and painting from my heart as you do. Thank you for sharing your talent - I needed this video to know that some of life can be beautiful. 🤍🦋

Your channel popped up in my feed and I love it. Beautiful work! My only suggestion is that you ditch the music completely, I don't think you need it. All the ambient sounds of preparation and the brush/pen strokes are good enough.🙏

Really like how you did the branches on the nest going from dark to light. It looks so simple yet I know if I did that, it would come out looking too predictable and unrealistic. I am curious, does gouache paint get stuck in the metal part of your brushes? Or is it easy to get out? My absolute favorite part is when you remove the tape and reveal everything, just so beautiful. How do you create an image in yoyr head and then paint it as you go? I try and cant.. i paint like kindergartener.. Im trying to be better. Maybe i just cant..
She probably has a reference photo to use for color choices and some composition or arrangement ideas. I’m not good at making up colors and using layers of color. I can copy but my imagination isn’t that great for details like shadows and color variations! Keep working on it-you can copy a lot until your mind finally gets it. Some people can naturally put colors together-they have an innate understanding of these things. My mom is like that. Wish I had more of it.
