    Danny you are such an inspiration!
    Sometimes I get a little frustrated because I don’t have the amount of land I would need to have enough food put up etc., then I watch you gardening and teaching and I get the gumption to go out there and figure out more ways !! Thank you and God bless you always :)

    Easy way to put side dressing on corn especially if it is the commercial is to use a lightweight corn planter pick a plate that has large enough holes and gives you the amount of fertilizer you want to put down and just run it lightly to the left and or both left and right sides of your patch. Goes down right in place and to spread evenly out as fast as you can push your little corn feeder

    Thanks Danny! I was watching where you put the fertilizer and wondered if it would hurt the plant if it was directly on it! You answered my question!

    I have not seen triple 13 fertilizer at any of the big box stores down here. Where do you purchase it? I see it mentioned on several channels, but have not been able to find it. Thanks. 🤠

    • @DeepSouthHomestead

      At our local feed stores. They are the only ones here who carry it.

      Deep South Texas if you can’t find triple 13 then see if they have triple 15 or triple 17. It’s ok to use both but just cut back how much you apply the higher the number goes. It’s better to apply light and apply it a few extra times than it is too apply to heavy and burn it up.
      Good luck

      @@DeepSouthHomestead OK, I will try a feed store. There is one not too far from me. Thanks.

      @@1982MCI The closest I can find is Ironite, 12-10-10. but it only comes in small, expensive bags. I will keep looking. Thanks.

      @@DeepSouthTexas Generally speaking, don't look for much real farming stuff in big box stores. That's the domain of suburbanite yuppies!

    I just found your videos and I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen so far. I’ve been thinking about buying a Hoss Tool wheel plow. Is the high arch a better option than the regular model?

    The people who created these tools really knew their stuff didn't they? Was that easy to do, or an awkward tricky way to drown a field of corn? Lol

    Do you use that tiller to open the soil for rows of seeds at the beginning of your season? Thanks. : )

    • @DeepSouthHomestead
      @DeepSouthHomestead  5 лет назад

      Yes, we had company that helped with that process and we forgot to video it. We used the Hoss Tools to create the rows so we could continue with them for plowing.
