Thank you so much for posting this tutorial! The mechanic I took my truck to told my there was no way to get into the section to replace that light bulb and told me I needed to order a whole new rear taillight fixture. I’m happy I didn’t do that, and can easily replace the bulb!
Hey man, thanks for the video. I had an old rusted out bulb. Didnt know you had to push in and twist. Managed to get the old bulb housing out with a pair of lineman's pliers. New bulbs in and im all good!
Another great video I'm just wondering how come the dealer charges so much when I take it in for this... it is not as hard as I thought it was thanks for The video I'm going to have to have to try it🤝🙂
Curious why you didn't remove the back of the bulb fixture to replace the bulb. Doesn't opening the case like that jeopardize the seal around the casing? Getting water inside the casing can cause bad electrical issues. I am not a mechanic, just curious. Thank you.
I think since the front of the case is pressed into the back by the screws when mounting, as long as you get the rubber seal back in the right place it shouldn't be an issue.
Once you remove the cover the entire fixture will fall out. But you don't have to unplug the connector... All you have to do is to unscrew the light bulb.
You have to make sure, that the light bulb you got is for your make and model. Try to reinstall the old one; if you are able to reinstall it... go get a matching light bulb.
Great video!! Showed & explained everything needed!
My Mom was about to take her car to get this done...now we can save that money! Thanks!👍
Good timing. Thanks

Thank you for your support.
Can we just take the cover off instead of the whole thing come out, we still can get to the light without have to unplug the connector?
Once you remove the cover the entire fixture will fall out. But you don't have to unplug the connector... All you have to do is to unscrew the light bulb.
I cannot get the new light bulb to push in and turn. The pins are lined up correctly. Any suggestions?

What cover is that ??
Damn it… haha.. thanks for this video man!!!
Anytime bro!
What happens when the eletrical plug won't come off like it shows in your video? That happened to me and no dice unplugging it.
Make sure that you squeeze the little plastic that is on the connector down and hold it down before you pull the electrical connector out.
Spray it with some wd40
One of my bulbs has cords connected to it how am I supposed to do this shit???
I bet they are a cheap trailer wiring kit. If you replace that bulb you brake light should work and the turn signal.
You not suppose to touch the bulb with your hands wear rubber gloves the oil from your hands shortens the life of the bulb
This is not a halogen light bulb. Yes, you can touch it with your hands and you can wipe it with a dry cloth.
Thank you.
Thanks
