I loved the comparison swatches. I always feel it’s so helpful! I also have New Look (which is cool and darker than Soft Cashmere) that would fit in with the theme here. I have Nude Dress on its way to me now! Overall I’m happy that I have the quints I wanted in the old formula. I’m still sad that we won’t have any more quints with the “old” fantastic formula to look forward to. That and not having baked shades in the fall Guerlain Ombres G quads is just depressing! (Although my wallet is rejoicing, I guess!)
Yeah, I see New Look as an evening palette for me. I won’t pick it up, since I have so many dark palettes. I think the key feature of “old” Dior eyeshadow formulation is the satin sheen of some shades. That satin, smooth quality is very high end, difficult to dupe. Colors are dupable but the finish is unique. I indulged in one last palette: Grand Bal. I will show you that soon! And then I’ll stop buying eyeshadows for a while. I purchased too many lately! I quickly rushed to get the quints Soft Cashmere and Grand Bal in the old formular. I am enjoying the palettes but I am not happy I had to rush and purchase these two quads from the permanent line. On the fence about Eden-roc. Not impressed with the new formular.
My first Dior quint was Soft Cashmere. When I've heard that they changed formula, I picked up Nude Dress, Tutu and Grand Bal 😊
I love nude dress. It's perfection for my colouring! Also cruise look, too bad it was a limited edition. Will test out soft cashmere next time!
