  • Welcome to part 1 of my Mega Man Battle Network 2 chip combo showcase. As my favorite of the revered Battle Network series, I’ve invested much time into BN2 over the years. In this series, I’ll be tackling every V3 boss in the game using a breadth of strategies, ranging from a few highly practical ones to many downright inadvisable and odd ideas.
To note this immediately, the creation of these videos entailed taking my completed postgame save file and giving myself every chip in every available code; farming all of these chips via battles, chip traders and the Gospel duplication glitch is simply infeasible from a time perspective. The result is a “sandbox” save file in which I was able to mix and match chips at my leisure, with the only self-imposed restriction being that I can’t use Navi chips. As such, the primary purpose of this series is geared squarely toward entertainment; a majority of the tactics shown here won’t be attainable during a regular run through the story, especially considering I use HubStyle ubiquitously, which mandates S ranking every V3 boss.
With that said the descriptions for these videos will contain timestamps and short names for every individual chip combo so that you can easily locate and replay anything that catches your eye. For this reason, my usual protracted ramblings, in this case regarding some of the more esoteric details of certain combos, will be located in posts on my community tab. Do take a gander there if you’re so inclined.
