Response to your Mr. Puzzles Criticisms: The thing with Mr. Puzzles (at least after the meme factory) is that he wants to be popular which is even what he wanted way back during the Puzzlevision arc. And the reason why he made a Mario clone because what better way to get back at Mario than to steal his fame. Not to mention at the end of the meme factory, Puzzles said "I’ll get you Mario! I’LL GET ALL OF YOU!" Meaning he wants to get back at all the entire SMG4 crew. Remember, in his song, Creative control he said "Patience is a virtue, Good things come to those who wait. Proverbs uttered by utter fools, I'll do anything it takes." Mr Puzzles wants fame and fortune and he’s gonna do whatever it takes to get it. Even if it means making a Mario clone to steal his fame from him.
I can see what you’re saying about your criticisms of Mr. Puzzles, but I disagree that his motives are lost here and that him cloning Mario is out of character for him by this point in time You say that his goals were about making television, not becoming “Mister Funny” or being popular, but have we ever considered _why_ he wants to make television? We know that he used tv and movies as his escapism to an unhealthy degree and we know that he didn’t have any friends as a kid, and we know that he was seriously hurt by losing leggy, the only friend he’s ever had. Seems to me like deep down, he just wants to be liked and to have friends, which would explain why he wants to be popular and become “Mr. Funny”, and that’s either a main or prominent reason he wants to be held in a high regard in the television industry As for the Mario thing, I have a refutal: not only does he take away Mario’s ability to do “the funny”, he gives it to a bootleg clone of Mario that actively frustrates the big M. That seems like Puzzles taking a shot at Mario while also actively working towards his goal if you ask me, in which case I would argue that this was a pretty clever move on his part Anyways can’t wait for your reaction to the most recent SMG4 video, it’s really good and does something interesting with Mr. Puzzles
