How to make and paint a cosplay safe melee weapon, Join my daughter Hailey and I as we make a cosplay safe wicked looking Wasteland melee weapon. It's a plastic bat, plastic screws, and we made our own barbed wire out of leather cording!. A lot of conventions have rules now about the types of Cosplay weapons or accessories you can bring in. I will show you the steps it takes to assemble this plastic weapon as well as the techniques I use to apply a quick but effective paint job. Hand painting with acrylics is always a fantastic way to bring your cosplay prop to life.
