Such a shame Lego doesn't make many sets based on games. There's so much potential being missed out on
they made bd1 and the new 501st battlepack is based on the battlefront 2 clones, so they do dabble but just dont expect more than 1 set based on a game out at a time, it doesnt help that jedi survivor is a more mature game so making it as lego is a more difficult process to get permission since they are primarily meant for kids

@@Quaxycal yea but they only got away with bd1 because... well its a droid, its an eas displayy set and we have seen his model in other media like the mandalorian, the likelyhood of them making a mantis with the crew (which other than pyloons saloon or a boss battle arena) would be the only one thats somewhat likely and even that is an absolute stretch to getting, its just probably not gonna happen, if we were gonna get it this wave wouldve been the one as the game came out recently MAYBE the final game will get a special set with it but its still ridiculously unlikely

The BD-1 is cool, but I feel a Mantis set would have sold better.
I feel like he says this everytime about Republic Bricks and it never changes. They charge a lot for a set and still give you crappy discolored and dinged up pieces. Thanks for being legit Ryan! Can always count on your reviews.

Agreed, every review...it's a great design and build but there's a bunch of dirty used pieces. And every time the response is we are fixing it in the future. This has been for years now.
I actually don’t mind the used pieces, they fit with the weathered look of the mantis in game.

I just think Lego would do such a good job with the franchise if they made more sets other than the current BD1 because of all the functions like the spinning wing function, I would be so happy if they managed to figure that out!
2Bricks made an amazing stinger mantis moc where both wings can move independent of each other. The design is amazing, and there is a full interior design. Haven't seen any better

I made a few modifications and gave it custom landing gear and it came out great. I highly recommend it

This is why I watch your channel. Always honest about what you think. You don't sugar coat things but give honest reviews. As someone who has bought from republic bricks , I love his stuff. You do get the occasional bad brick but honestly the type of people who buy his sets have a supply of bricks to replace the bad ones (I do). I swap out 2-3 pieces and it's good to go. I think republic bricks has done an amazing job of listening to the lego community and giving them the sets they want. Every set that the lego community has asked for ( sometimes for almost a decade) republic bricks will sell in actual months. Geonosis arena, venator, jango fetts ship, and countless other sets sold by republic bricks just because we the community wanted them. In my eyes I see republic bricks more as a community builder than a lego set producer. He gives the lego community what it wants, and creates excitement around lego star wars something Lego company has failed in part to do.

Looks like a great display model I wasn’t expecting that interior, a nice touch.
I was working for Republic Bricks back when this set released in November 2021. I had told myself I wasn't going to buy any of their products but I had to for this one. I still don't regret it!

Its a great set and I love mine but I will say the quality of parts was a bit shaky. There is also some un-utilized space at the back of the ship that I think could have been put to good use. the whole space gets walled off way further toward the front of the ship than it needs to be.They also forgot the code for the instructions but Timmy helped me out asap. I would def reccomend it to anyone who's a big fan of the ship and can shell out the bucks but there really needs to be greater emphasis on part quality. - especially for parts that aren't even rare

I would love to make my own moc of this with a more accurate interior, but might order this as well to get a feel for the techniques used and proportions! I also think Lego should make an official set, but it would killer to have it as a minifig-scale UCS set!

The fact that you dont mince your words, and drum home the mistakes is what I love about your reviews. I mean if something is glaringly obvious that they could have fixed or thought about, it should definetly be called out. Love the no holds barred non appologetic reviews. Its also the only way well get better products in the future.

The smaller wing stability issue can be very easily fixed Ryan. I don’t know why Timmy didn’t catch it. Instead of using a 2x2 plate with only 2 studs, just use the regular 2x2 plate. Probably would have even saved him money as well…
They already did a BD-1 set. They should really do a Mantis set with Cal, BD-1, Merrin, Greez, and maybe Bode!!!

He doesn't actually design anything himself he just pays other talented builders. Trust me he has horrible customer service and fake lego in his sets. Would not recommend. He's overrated.

Thank you for doing your reviews, it helps me decide on what sets I need to get, especially the custom ones. With something like the mantis though, doesn't having the discolored bricks add to it looking like a more realistic and worn starship since they are fleeing the empire and limited on resources in the game?

Everytime I finish a set I complete the lego survey. In that survey it asks what sets you'd like to see in the future, I've been asking for the stinger mantis since 2019.

I think the only thing missing is the galaxy map, it could’ve fit but also would’ve taken a lot of space. But you could easily build your own.

Hey Ryan. I have too much lego. I was wondering if you could create a video on how you sell it, price it, and ship it. I think the shipping part is what confuzzles me the most. Im trying to sell sealed and already made sets in tact like UCS mil falcon. Also debating on selling my sealed ISD UCS.
Personally I quite like the slightly crummy used bricks as it gives it a messier and dirtier look, showing that its not right off the factory floor
Hoping for an official set one day but this is really cool. Not sure about republic bricks though.
Do think that Lego will release a at-ot with drop ship since Lego has released a at-te and is going to release a republic gunship. Also for your next moc after hoth can you build a Navarro moc
th discoloration and used peices are nice because it sorta makes the ship look worn down (kinda)
Do you plan/would you consider collecting custom moc's that aren't sponsored from sites such as BrickVault? I personally have bought some of their larger ones such as the Minifig Scale Sandcrawler, Ghost Corellian Transport and Boba & Jango Fett Slave 1's to name a few.
I ordered a mystery set box that was on sale roughly a month and a half ago it hasn't been delivered yet

I went ahead and ordered it (using your link and code of course!) as my son is a huge Fallen Order/Jedi Survivor/Lego/Star Wars fan and this is the set we’ve been waiting for from Lego for awhile.
Hopefully the quality issues are minimal and won’t require additional BrickLinking. 100% agreed that it SHOULDN’T happen on a custom set like this. But if so, then 🤷♂️

You should do a video where you go undercover and use a different number to order something from Timmy and see if it’s the same quality because he know that you’re going to make a video that lots of people will see.
If I got perfect quality stuff every-time maybe that would be fun buuuut like every review I talk about bad used pieces in the bags.

Although, I think Timmy is giving you special treatment because of your you and the number of your following so he doesn’t look bad. I have heard from many people that they have had horrible experiences with Timmy.
Interior leaves a lot to be desired and wasn't considered at all, but it's not a play set so. If I could design one I'd go heavy on ensuring the interior has a lot of key aspects

The ideal Cal Kestis already exist, the Obi m-Wan from the Inquisitor Scythe just needs a second lightsaber.

I have 5 or 6 sets from them and there's always something small that drives me so nuts that I can't display them. Two wedges next to each, one the wrong color. Note right behind the interior at (8:25) where one is white and one is tan. Plates with bad gouging from prying them apart. Off color pieces. They have all ended up in my daughter's lego bin.

Great looking custom and not a bad price for a custom set but to get obviously used bricks is disappointing for sure. Especially for a high price customs are.

Its a decent model but in my own opinion 2Bricks made a better model that you can buy the instructions off of and when i ordered the pieces it came out cheaper than the RB model, and it has more detail plus a better interior
theres a youtuber who made the rotating wings better and increased the quality of the space inside more and added more interior space just like in the real game
this one is lacking some of the rooms
