Thank you . I couldn't really find out how long it takes to charge and anything on the yellow changing to Green ...but ya I couldn't find that anywhere... 👍
My wife and I both ride Commencals and no offence, I don't mean to mock you or shoot you down but your issue with the charging port cover I feel is purely operator issue! We have never personally experienced your problem or any other problems, ( smiles for miles )! You're just going about it all wrong. Start by gently Inserting the bottom of the plug cap first ( the little extension tongue will naturally slide in ) then roll your thumb/finger upwards to the top of the cap until the tip of the cap has seated all the way home properly. Do that and i doubt you will ever experience issues with it. It not as feeble as think! Starting from the top will never work well and you'll battle like you did. Wasn't designed to work that way. Commencal manuals are online on the Commencal website. Go to Workshop - need help - Commencal tech and everything you need to know is there, tech.commencal.com/step-by-step.html . You just need to know where to look. Everything you would want to know for Shimano steps motor or battery is www.shimano-steps.com/ Don't be put off these bikes. I can't recommend them enough!
Don't feel as if you are! Helpful advice is alwaays appreciated and taken! As you could probably tell, I really DID struggle trying to put that cover back on, but as you've pointed out I'm sure there's a mich better way to go about it. It's great to hear how much you've both been enjoying the bikes! Thank you for the ease of dropping all the links to the manuals, it's very helpful for the future.
The out put is definitely not unidirectional. It's DC direct current. The power point coment while showing the output plug was irrelevant and to be honest quite bizarre. Domestic power is transmitted or distributed using AC alternating current at very high voltages. Then stepped down using Transformers that you can even see on your street If you look up at the powerpoles. You will see them here and there maybe one per block. It's not described as being unidirectional. One pin is the active while the other is the neutral. As long as your equipment is double insulated it doesn't really pose much of a problem. But it would in certain situations.
this is the most un efficient charger iv used. had to turn it off before fully charged because it got so hot. so much heat loss is un efficient in my view. i no chargers get warm but this takes the piss
The charger first makes an appearance at 03:39 if that helps anyone save some time.

I struggle all the time with getting the charge port cover to close. Have you come up with anything to help getting it closed?
Does the body of the charger get hot? Mine is pretty hot to the touch. I can still hold it in my hand
What about removing from Frame?? And Charging battery OFF the frame

Thanks for understanding James! Happy to help : )
it needs this explanation, and it has nothing todo with bike producer. its a shimano system and theyr all same for this motor
Thanks for speaking on my behalf it was painful watching him try and close that charging port cover when it is very very easy even with one hand👍
can the battery be charged while off the bike
Yes, you get a special port for charging the battery separately.
@@tomaspov does it mean no if you dont have the adapter?
@@chrismade123 correct , but the adapter will come with the charger so you don’t have to buy anything extra
that port is really bad covered, but so is it with bosch
