Happy Sunday! This RX 450h really caught me off guard because Lexus gave auto journalists a chance to drive it for the first time at the TX drive event. I apoligize for being an hour late on uploading this review. I just got back from Texas and I am working on a project car that made me lose track of time. Thank you for being so understanding and supportive!
Side note. Nori is a seaweed commonly used in sushi rolls. The nori color is dark that has a green hue. Hence, the color nori green is inspired by a seaweed :)
I still miss the 3.5 NA V6 from last generation that engine so much better then the 4 banger. This trim is the best RX you can get. NA hybrid 4 cylinder. You won’t worry about turbos breaking. Just standard maintenance
@@artieartya none I’m not in the market for one. I was just stating this trim is the best trim for a mechanical standpoint. If I was to get one I would go for the top trim with the most powerful engine
9:30 That magic door in the center storage is actually an old mechanism. I'm in Japan right now and the Airbnb has an old fridge that opens from either side, just like the Lexus.
Thus RX aint that bad looking, and I love the upgraded tech, and the green is very cool also. 😎 This makes me want know when the first drive of the 24' GX is Joe? 😊
WATCHING & LISTENING TO JOE FOR THE FIRST TIME WHILE HIGH AS F😊 & I HAVE TO SAY: YOU ARE DISTINGUISHED IN YOUR ABILITY TO DELIVER ON CAMERA, YOUR PROFESSIONALISM IS UNMATCHED... YOU HAVE REACHED THE EPITOME OF WHAT IT MEANS TO MASTER ANY DISCIPLINE...WELL DONE MON...FROM KINGSTON JAMAICA 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Always loved the RX, NX won me over first. I can see why they're selling so well. Thanks for bringing it back to us Joe!! Can't wait for the GX to do the same. Let's go on throttle!!😂 Great review as always!! 👏👏💯
"My mother actually gave birth to me in the back of her LS many years ago" 💀💀🤣😂 Uncle Joe PLEASE LMAO. How do you come up with these random, hilarious scenarios lolol
Great job as usual Joe, love it! Looking at this and the 500h as my next vehicle but also wanting to see where Lexus goes in terms of gas mileage with the upcoming hybrid GX. I know they are different types of vehicles but glad I'll have choices!
THANK JESUS it doesn't have a 3rd-Row Seat. I am so sick of 3rd-Row seats... Lexus does very nice dark greens and dark browns... some people don't like those colors, but I love them.
Wow ! $80k with tax 😳. Looks good……like that it doesn’t have a turbo. Great mpg and you can do local Publix food shopping without using gas 👍. Thanks Joe and Steven and Lori !
Test drove the RX recently. The drivers side view mirror made my eyes go crossed. Once i saw it, I couldn't unsee it. The guy at the dealership said he never noticed until I pointed it out and now he couldn't unsee it either. Was a very nice car other than that. Had to pass on it because I cant be seeing double when driving. Still love my ES, but will wait on the TX to become available.
Onw a ten year old RX, great quality. WAs hoping the redesign would Change the back swoop window. Wife HATES it,and I kinda agree. Like the look of the GV80.
Love this color Joe, classy & subtle. Smooth ride as to be expected. Great MPGs & good horsepower. Pricey though. Hopefully some of this tech will trickle down into the Toyota lineup.
Awesome car. Too big for my likes and needs. But it is one outstanding automobile. But I'd take the White or blue metallic of I was shopping for a car of that girth.
I LOVE my RX500h, this 450h might be good for my wife, I dont like CVT... she can have it : )...... they have refined the RX further with the 2023, its like driving a stick of butter down the road on you way to get some twinkies 😍
Still deciding between the 450h and 350. I love the fuel efficiency of the 450h and the power but the difference in price is $15k. You pay almost full sticker price on the 450h, so ~$80k with tax. I'd appreciate any thoughts about what I should do!
My last Lexus I had for 9 years never had a fault, Lexus know how to build a superb bullet proof vehicle, I have the earlier gen RX and may well upgrade to the F Sport 500 in 2025
What's that other off to the side light in the bottom next to the fog light? Does that light up when you signal and turn to light up the side of the road?
It’s a cornering lamp. Lights up at night when you turn so it helps light up the side when it’s dark out giving you better vision of possible pedestrians or bicyclists.
Does this vehicle have a spare tire? Does it have a self-driving system? I would have liked to see the HUD. I hate the charge connection in the rear. That means I have to back into my garage or else unreel 15 feet of cable. I could care less about the sports car pickup. If I want that I will buy a Mustang. In comparison with the Nautilus, it does not have the 33 way seat adjustments. I like the Nautilus interior much better plus the reclining rear seats. I will sorely miss the HUD in the Nautilus. I am currently driving a 2020 Black Lable Aviator. Its menu system is clumsy if you are driving 60 mph in traffic. The Nautilus seems to be more so. I love the Aviator, it does not have a hybrid in 2024. Also, you cannot read the instrument panel on a bright day. I want to down-size but I am not sure the advantages/disadvantages of either model make a slam dunk choice.
$75K Ouch!!! normally aspirated 2.5L 4 cylinder ouch!!!. I had the opportunity to drive the Lexus RX last week in Detroit on a competitive evaluation/drive and I was shocked how rough and course the 4 cylinder engine is in the Lexus. The engine does not feel like the likes of luxury. The interior treatment and size is nice and its best attributes. Nice job on implementing the hidden rear wiper (Audi BMW, Mercedes, Porsche take note)
This guy does a good job reviewing cars because he and I are the same height. When he sits in the driver seat and rear passenger seats, it gives me a pretty good idea how roomy the seats are. Pretty hard for me to watch a 6’5 tall reviewer trying to sardine in a midsize suv and tells you he’s comfortable .
Interesting 5:30 - that charge port isn’t compatible with DC fast charging. Only AC Level 2 fast charging maxed. I guess it’s okay since the battery is so tiny. Only takes 2.5 hours on a AC L2 charger.
Joe I love you man but I'm surprised you like the chocolate and black on the door panel. The Mazda CX-30 has the exact color combo and you said you weren't crazy about it. I thought I would give you a hard time about it😂 Anyway keep up the good work. I always enjoy your videos.
Great review, aside from the lame puns. Lexus is stepping up their game. These cars are great to buy for the long long term and is offering a level of luxury and styling that will stay relevant for many years. The older Lexus vehicles lacked styling and luxury. They'd be obsolete in just a couple lf yrs.
Do you have anything negative to say about the CVT? I’ve heard the Lexus CVT is pretty good. It's been holding me back. On the fence. Gotta go rub my wood now😂
Say what you will, this thing is selling like fresh Twinkies😂😂 September especially, best month yet. I do wish mine had that beautiful full LED digital display they put in the TX.😢😢
I saw one in person the other day it still gives off soccer mom or old man vibes. Glad Toyota made some of the other SUV’s more rugged and manly looking
I one of the toyota loyalty i used owned Mazda. Honda. And Nissan but right now I stick with toyota because of the reliability and also I use to owned a 1987 toyota Cressida like a tank beautiful luxury car from toyota and i also used owned a 1998 camry v6 xle very reliable now i still owned a 2010 toyota matrix and last year I bought a 2022 toyota venza hybrid limited I really love it very good on gas i wish one day I buy lexus thanks for your video take care bye from milton Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
@@Wileytiger-el6pu I actually have this car for last 4 months now. Technically it’s true. Real life observations under full electric mode, I get about avg 2.4 mi/kWH- which is about 80.89 MPGe when talking about electric car efficiency. When the battery is depleted and the gauge switches to gas MPG, it actually shows 60+ MPG. 😂 However, I believe that is misleading bc that’s based on the fuel efficiency avg calculation with the first 40 miles of being pure electric mode. As I drive it in hybrid gas mode, the MPG steadily drops slowly down. But I’ve never driven it long enough to see it drop down to 34 MPG, but I think it probably could be the real MPG avg.

No problem Joe! Keep us posted! When's the Live Q and A again?
No worries!
You take such great care of your subscribers, Joe. Remember to take care of yourself, too.
Tell us about the project car!
I don’t think anybody would notice that you posted something late that nobody even knew you were going to review.
The color and the wheels…🔥
It really works super well david!
Best Lexus around, probably best Suv around.
I have a 450H and absolutely love it! Better than its counterparts with the engine lights already on!
Good overall review, really like the look of this Lexus in the Nori Green, would like to see more vehicles in this color.
Side note. Nori is a seaweed commonly used in sushi rolls. The nori color is dark that has a green hue. Hence, the color nori green is inspired by a seaweed :)
Seaweed everyday
One thing you can be sure of, the Japanese rarely do anything without a reason. :)
Happy Sunday. Great work as always 🎉

Which one you buying new or pre owned?

they’ve been using turbo 4s in Lexus RXs for years and years. It’s just the first time they’ve used one in the North American market.
“My mother gave birth to me in the back seat of a Lexus LS” bro 💀😂
😂😂 Joe with the jokes!!
The question is, "Did she also conceive you in a back seat?"
Rubbing your wood? Come on bro
Lexus makes beautiful vehicles!
Rub your wood and store your balls 😂😂😂😂Joe as always with the humor and the great review. Thanks Stephen for the camera work 👍🏿
Always bringing the good stuff.....this I a nice looking vehicle..miss the v6 though
Love this one joe! Love when toyota and lexus put all the toys in their cars!
9:30 That magic door in the center storage is actually an old mechanism. I'm in Japan right now and the Airbnb has an old fridge that opens from either side, just like the Lexus.
Your review location for this video look like somebody’s backyard lollllllll. Great review as always Joe.
If you need that much space...
as a Lexus owner, I would recommend it, even at that price, because the resale values will be awesome.👍

Hi Raiti's Rides You Make Great Video Can You Make A Review On The 2024 Mercedes GLC 300 4Matic! Have A Nice Day
Marvelous SUV Joe.
I am so glad that you are digging this one.

Nine months after he was conceived in the back of that LS
Great job as usual Joe, love it! Looking at this and the 500h as my next vehicle but also wanting to see where Lexus goes in terms of gas mileage with the upcoming hybrid GX. I know they are different types of vehicles but glad I'll have choices!

If this green looks this good on the RX, imagine on the new GX.
Good overall review

Get a gv80 over this dressed up rav4
I love the all new RX, but I am saving to buy a new Toyota Venza Limited in White.
The Colour really blend well and it looks beautiful 👌
Great job Joe. Best wishes to you and your team.
I've been a big fan of that fabulous Nori Green color since it became an option several years ago.
I love your channel
Love this color Joe, classy & subtle. Smooth ride as to be expected. Great MPGs & good horsepower. Pricey though. Hopefully some of this tech will trickle down into the Toyota lineup.
Is that front a nightmare to clean bugs off of after a long road trip???
You can never resist popping those bubble rap no matter how old you are, it's very fun😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's very nice looking, Lexus in my opinion has done a great job with it for sure.
Awesome car. Too big for my likes and needs. But it is one outstanding automobile. But I'd take the White or blue metallic of I was shopping for a car of that girth.
The chuckle at the moment you announced the price was perfect.
For some reason when I see the metallic ornament in the side of that SUV it reminds me a hearse.

That is a tough dilemma ! I would go with the 350
My last Lexus I had for 9 years never had a fault, Lexus know how to build a superb bullet proof vehicle, I have the earlier gen RX and may well upgrade to the F Sport 500 in 2025
Considering one of these babies! Thanks for an excellent review sir!
Nice suv 🔥
I am so glad that you are here!
in my opinion, the prettiest car on the market, other brands can follow the example of Lexus. greetings to the presenter
Look luck getting one!
Joe is this the 450h plug in ?
Your parents gave birth to you in a Lexus, a Camry, and a RAV4 😅.. I love this channel.
8:20 has me laughing hysterically!!😂😂
Wow, Wow, Wow!
Trust me I know how you feel!
When you were in the backseat, was the front seat all the way back?
I love it

It’s a cornering lamp. Lights up at night when you turn so it helps light up the side when it’s dark out giving you better vision of possible pedestrians or bicyclists.
Joe you should do a comparison with Toyota Grand Highlander

I like Lexus and their dependability. With that said, Raiti's Rides did a Lincoln Nautilus review and it was very nice vehicle.
That grill is NICE! Not so much the right and left Pacman design. 😊
Isn't it 450H+, the + indicate plugin

It really comes down to the hue of the color.

Must this be plugged in to be charged or does the system charge itself?
It does both.
Does this one qualify for the $7500 Yoga Mom rebate? If so it's worth maybe looking into. I dunno - the outside IMO lacks some styling or excitement.
Would be nice to have put the 2nd row seats down to see the cargo space
Would love to see comparisons!
Do you have anything negative to say about the CVT? I’ve heard the Lexus CVT is pretty good. It's been holding me back. On the fence. Gotta go rub my wood now😂
I love the fuel economy and the horsepower from a 4 cylinder, but the torque is really low.

Wished they moved to a rwd platform
I love this spec!! The only this I still don't like aboutvthe RX is the floating roof design. Lexus should never have copied that "trend".
Insane prices, what’s wrong with these auto makers ?
Charge cable comes in bubble wrap, instead of leather bag.
So Toyota!
It’s a nice and good vehicle but now that I saw the Lincoln nautilus, the Lincoln look soooo much better and equipped
This RX 450h does not do 0-60mph in 5.5 sec. It's more like 7 plus second. I believe the 5.5 to 60 time is the RX 500h.
450h+ is about 6.1, 500h bout 5.9. at least rated from the official website
I heard this model gets 80 MPGe avg and 34 MPG without battery. Is that true?
