spot on fella, the reason Riakporhe didnt turn up was because CBS didnt let him.
I get what you mean and don't get me wrong CBS boxed better on the night but richard didnt show up at all. He would throw a hook to the body and then hug. He literally ignored every adjustment his corner told him and continued to hug after throwing an unsuccessful power punch.
Richard was nailing CBS with a jab at times, often through CBS guard and instead of throwing a straight, he'd jab and hug. His performance was actually terrible 😅 it was like CBS was fighting a non boxer
@@kingchaq3103 i just feel like CBS exposed Riakporhes lack of skill. Rich has the reach and the power, why cant he maintain distance? He can't box off the back foot at all and CBS exploited that. It frustrates me when boxers have such obvious flaws in their game (obviously covered up by his huge power), but how can you train for a decade and not be able to box in even a basic manner going backwards.
It's like a footballer who plays football everyday and yet is severely one footed.
Watch Tommy Hearns, hes an expert at constantly keeping his opponent on the end of his long punches, maintaining the correct distance. Disappointing for Riakporhe really, CBS really showed he is vastly better than Riakporhe and tbh it was quite an easy nights work for him.
@@kingchaq3103 in the 1st round riakporhe didnt miss with that jab, but by the 3rd, he stopped using it, he has relied on his power and wasnt able to do anything else, cbs took his space when he needed too, took the heavy shots as well, he used his greater experience and both out thought & fought him.
I think CBS has been hugely underestimated, Shalom has now put 2 fighters in with him hoping they would beat him and he has bashed them both & Okolie was considered by most as the no.1 in the division, i honestly think CBS will give Opatai the hardest fight of his career if they meet and for me that is a genuine 50/50 fight.

Riakphore showed no hunger. He was as terrible as Okolie with the hugging and showing no urgency even when his trainer was telling him he was losing.
Normal service resumed for Boxxer, another terrible card and a stinker of a main event.

A good fight is a good fight but Boxing Media is such trash. Usyk - Historical Career of wins against champion after champion on the road, Crawford - 4 weight Champion, Inoue - 4 weight Champion but if Tank finally gets ONE good win he's P4P. Is it satire?
What if Loma humiliates Tank in a one-sided affair and wins every round or even makes him quit on the stool, is he P4P? Of course not, there will be some excuse not to give him credit. These light weights have fought no body. Duran, Sugar Ray Leonard, Hagler, Tommy Hearns, Pacman were only a few of many that were at another higher level then today's babies. They even fought 15 rounds.
CBS and RR had an AWFUL fight. After 4 rounds, I started cooking, came back, and nothing had changed. Poper snooze-fest. Neither of the guys is going the distance with Jai Opetaia - NO CHANCE.

I agree with Spencer, Shakur Stevenson is by far a bigger threat, bigger build up, and bigger win for Tank if he can pull it off. Shakur is young and undefeated , Loma while no slouch isnt the same young Loma he was .

Riakphore at times looked like he didn't even wanna be there.. no urgency in what he was doing there in a world title fight. But gotta give credit to CBS because he did Nulify Riakphore and made sure the fight was fought at the pace he wanted it to be at and he took a few solid shots in there but he just still stuck to his game plan and he won convincingly.

Riakporhe was like a more polished Wilder but at Cruiserweight, (but not as wild as wilder used to be) he was fairly poor and was just looking for the right to often
Boxers aren't running 20 mph where a little bit of contact sends you off balance or getting studded from the side by someone running at 15mph when you're not necessarily expecting the contact. Just watch women's football if you don't want speed and physicality or stroke off to the Vinnie Jones days who wouldn't make the grade for championship football.

Thought Riakphore was very poor in the fight and extremely negative. Not the most exciting fighter but he does have power.
CBS is a champion who has worked his way up with blood, sweat and tears.
CBS deserved it and with Riakphore id quite happily never watch him fight again as hes not entertaining at all.
Riakporhes power covers up the limited skill he has like Wilder, he can't even through a 1-2 or a cross going backwards

Never heard so much rubbish in my life. I like tank but how many elite fighters has he fought in his career? Hes picked his fights carefully and shouldn't be on any p4p list. Lomachenko is great but hes passed his best now, so it's going to take more than beating him comprehensively to elevate anyone to number one p4p. Jonny Nelson used to say Usyk was a avarage fighter. The man is a absolute clown at times.

Seriously losing respect for Spencer over recent statements he makes and clear bias towards some fighters………CBS nullified him and got on top of him, removing his size advantage. He has learnt through tough, hard graft while Riakporhe has been fed the sort of fights Wilder was to pad his record and give a false impression of how good he really was. He has the potential, but he seemed to think he would walk over anyone. Now he’s had a lesson which will serve him well going forward. In the fight game, you can’t beat the progress that comes from hard knocks through the roughest battles, and CBS has had a few……..

Chamberlain v Massey was not a bad fight, but overall not good. The stadium was 2/3rds empty. Highlighted the inexperience of Riakphore, not been in fights where he has been tested or fights he has had to come through uncomfortable moments. Looked totally devoid of ideas. That fight will stand him in good stead though moving forward. You need punch power to mix it with world level fighters, Ben Whittaker does not have it, the elite fighters will walk straight through him.
