I loved my Erin Condren planners, and although pretty and high quality, Erin Condren life planners’ functionality were still very similar to most planners. I got this planner last year after you talked about it. I’m so glad I did and love it! I don’t do a good job checking off boxes but I keep trying, that’s all that matters. I got overwhelmed with the Bible reading so I just did my own from the Bible app. It has helped me keep my sanity for sure!!! Then I started planning freezer meals with 5 dollar dinners. I swear to you I never realized how to cook dinner at home and plan meals every week until I subscribed to her monthly plans! These are my life-saving homeschool mom strategies I’ve learned this year and I’m super grateful that I can actually make improvements for the first time in my life. God bless you.

I was an EC only girl the last 7 years and every year at her conferences i would get my next years planner but this year I decided to try something different 🤯 I bought a Plum Paper planner and really love it…maybe next year I’ll try Penny Pincher
There are. A lot of great planners now. I have a plum paper for my homeschool planner! It’s definitely similar quality to EC also!

I like to have almost all of my Christmas Shopping done by December 1st. Not Having to navigate crowded stores is nice. If I want to do the festive Christmas store thing I can or not. I only end up having to grab quick hostess/reciprocal gifts during December. Much calmer.
I always want this as well and it never happens!! Lol! But it would be ideal. I hate the crowds! Although since 2020, the malls are definitely not the same. I took our kids to the mall last year the week before Christmas so they could get their siblings gifts and it was DEAD…the week before Christmas!! Times have changed.
I sometimes say y'all too. I'm in Wisconsin. I have never lived anywhere other than Wisconsin. 😂

I am using this planner for the first time in 2023 and I am so excited to start. They have now included an Accessary Pack and it includes sticky notes that can be used in the Morning and Daily Routines which makes it so nice as I use the FLY Lady system and can now adapt the routines in the weekly layouts. Then, I will use the 2 line stickers provided on the sticker pages in the planner to add my daily focus for each day. Not necessary but it adds function and fun to my planning! Thank you for sharing your tips from last year and plans for this year!

Just got this planner (printed pdf) Would love to see more of how to incorporate homeschool planning into this planner. I have one child right now so I don’t think I need a separate planner..plus idk I I’m that coordinated to have two.
I don’t put any homeschool things in here unless it’s like go to guitar lessons or dance lessons. I have a separate homeschool planner. In years past, I didn’t plan anything for homeschool. It’s just depends on the year and what I think I need help tracking.

So how do you do it? Do you write out the plan each week and then add stickers? I fill out each week for the entire month and things are always getting added, that’s probably one reason I’m “scared” to put a sticker on the wrong place! Lol! What if I need that space later???? 😂

I now have 2 planners and one of them isn’t a Filofax!!! I’ve got into planner stickers and they are awesomely fun!!! Planner instructions are awesome!!! I have it on my fitness planner and my son uses the same fitness planner and he loves it!!! I keep a pen with my planner!!!
I tried a fitness planner once! Now if I schedule , I just put it into my life planner. Do you track your food and everything? I’ve used my fitness pal app for that in the past.

I’m thinking about getting this planner. But I can’t buy Christmas gifts until December because my husband ends up giving them to the kids if we buy them early. He loves giving them stuff. 😅
My husband does the same thing. The kids will mention something they want. I’ll write it down to get for Christmas or their birthday. Next thing I know, my husband will just buy it and give it to them. I’m trying to train him to wait! 😂

@@OurHOMEschoolPlan Yes ma’am. I have two EC LifePlanners horizontal, platinum coil, 12 month and 18 month planner that have stickers I can open a whole new shop with. I’m a teacher by trade for almost 30 years (preschool to kindergarten)but I can teach up to high school. I’m a planner by nature and highly organized. My coworkers love that about me. I love EC LifePlanners because of the variety, the customization, and Hello Kitty merchandise I can choose from. And I love that I can switch up certain features in the planner that I would like, for example the front/back covers, and the horizontal or vertical layout. She is pricey, but worth it!! Penny Pincher has a few extra features that Erin Condren doesn’t, like the weekly daily tasks, the financial goals page and my favorite was the one after the financial page and the Christmas page. That was detailed enough for me!! 🤣😂🤣😂

I honestly don’t remember where I got the huge clip. I’ve seen them at TJ Maxx/Home Goods. It’s a couple years old though

I put a link in the description of some large clips but I couldn’t find one with a tassel. This one I got a couple years ago from Target. 😉 you could always get some strips of ribbon or fabric and add a tassel to a basic large clip (like what I linked)

Do you do your homeschool planning in a separate planner?
Yes, I’m trying a Plum Paper planner this year. I’ve used an Erin Condren teacher planner in the past. And I also use a bunch of spreadsheets and make my own thing. I’m getting ready to record a series of videos on how I plan my homeschool soon.
But this home’s management planner is definitely a part of my weekly homeschool planning as well. It’s just not where I record lessons.

Are you wanting it for 2024? Or you want it for the rest of this year? If for the rest of this year, they may be sold out. But they also have a digital version.
For next year, if I’m not mistaken, it might be available by the end of September! 😉 I think that’s when I launched last year. Maybe even mid-September!
Are the coils on the 2023 planner spaced the same as on the Erin Condren planner? I would like to transfer some of the snap in accessories to this planner.
They look like it but I’ll have to check. I’ll try to find my old EC covers and see if they snap on.
I found an EC planner and I was able to snap in the cover. The EC cover is a an inch or two shorter. But any other snap ins would work.
I also noticed that the EC coil is a tad thicker. But it also feels more wiggly than the PPP cool. So this cold coil feels very sturdy.

Sometimes you do get what you pay for. If you want a cheap planner that only has a calendar, this isn’t the planner for you. 😉
@@OurHOMEschoolPlan I was surprised that something branded penny pincher was a $50 planner. I have bought many planners that are weekly, have lists, habit trackers, goal sheets, etc. that cost $20 or less.

Being a penny pincher means you use your money wisely. It doesn’t necessarily mean you always buy the cheapest things. It just depends on what you find value in. And that’s ok if it’s not this planner.
If there are comparable less expensive planners, though, I’d love to know where? What brand are they? Do tell.
This one has very good/ thick paper quality and very strong coil. That’s where some of the cost comes in. Plus, penny pincher is a small business. So that’s another reason the cost my not be what you expect. Most planners I’ve seen of this quality are all of comparable price. (Erin Condren, Plum Paper)
But if there are less expensive ones that do the same thing and if the same physical quality, I’d love to know about it. Sincerely.
I’m an all year planner/buyer for Christmas presents. Sometimes birthdays too ~ I especially like having an extra stash of goodies to use as presents for a surprise birthday party ~ kids & adults, plus have a card “file” box that I use for all the birthday/sympathy/anniversary/Father’s Day cards. HAVING THESE has saved our bacon SOOOOOOO many times!!! Cannot recommend these enough!!! But I have a Christmas planner AND a separate Easter planner ~b/c us moms with younger children in the family are in charge of the Easter “production?” for our family~ Easter hunt/food/theme/filling the Easter eggs for the Easter egg hunt with candy & toys & the gold ones with $$$. So yeah, I shop all year long & hit the sales all year long, not just for groceries 😂😂😂 Having the extra Christmas planner is helpful, especially as this year I’m also helping with our church’s Christmas toy share. Thankfully not in charge of anything other than shopping 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Did I mention I like to shop?!!!

I used to shop all year long and then when December came, I shopped some more! And then i was overwhelmed with the AMOUNT of gifts I had to wrap. So I started not buying til later so I’d buy less. But still overwhelmed with the amount I have to wrap. 😂😂😂
So what’s in a Christmas planner? My ideal December would be to have to all done and just enjoy the season. The Christmas season was so much more fun when I was a kid! Now it kind of feels like a burden a lot of times. There are so many “requirements!!”
If you have family that has say an amazon birthday /Christmas wish list on Amazon & will give you access to it all year long… that’s one idea. Listen to or pay really good attention to what your kids/family members (especially any just recently out on their own in the past 5 years) use or need. Oldest son (now 25) got a vacuum cleaner b/c this momma was paying attention (& he was always borrowing ours) & when his grandparents asked what he wanted for Christmas, I already knew what was on his list. Another time, because my kid is so picky about water tastes & constantly was buying bottled water… guess who bought him a Brita Water “jug” not the pitcher, the bigger one that can fit on a shelf in the refrigerator or the counter perfectly ~ the box looking one. It’s still one of his favorite gifts of all time. I mean, just in the $$ he saves by not buying bottled water constantly. 🤣
Yea we do utilize amazon wish lists! I would probably buy more from amazon except my children grab our phones all the time and see what’s being shipped!! 😜
