    I’m just getting a chance to watch this here in AK and I had to stop and comment. You are at about min 24 when you share how you felt when you brought your son home and would just cry while rocking him…🥺😭 YES!! That was sooo me too!! Just hearing you say it and makes me tear up now as you speak about it. I still have those overwhelming emotions for them and just want to cry while I hold them ( 9 and 5 yrs old now). I try to control myself a little or they worry about mama.🥹 I just so appreciate your love and heart for the Lord and your precious babies. You are a kindred spirit mama bear. ❤ Wish I could hug you right now.

    Hey Rachel! I FINALLY got caught up from your last video and this live. Can I just tell you that not only am I feeling the spiritual battles, but several of my close friends as well. These videos were incredibly timely and so encouraging! THANK YOU for taking the time out of your main mission to be vulnerable on the platform. God just wants a willing heart and He can do the rest. Thank you so much for this sweet message!! ❤️ I think the battle is intensifying bc the time is short, right? And even just practically speaking, our country and communities are changing so rapidly in the wrong ways….. this world is feeling more and more like NOT my home in a major way. We truly are strangers in a foreign land more and more. And this land will be what our kids have to navigate. Will they be faithful? I sure hope so!
      What you expressed is exactly what I’ve been praying! I just want to be a vessel to be used. If I can keep myself out of the way, and just let God lead me in however he wants, that’s all I want.
      if you want to pray for me, I have the same prayer with how I deal with my family. I need to get myself “out of the way,” be patient and persistent and not grow weary! And my prayer for my children is that will be BOLD ambassadors for Christ, chasing after him and not their own lusts. I know that’s what you are praying for your children too! 😉
      Thank you so much, sweet friend!! I’m so glad that I can be used to encourage you! And know that your comments always encourage me too! 💕

      I’m just waiting for the hammer to drop in some way in this country. I won’t be surprised when it happens. In the meantime, I am actually glad that I still live a very good and blessed life here in the US. Besides inflation and avoiding certain cities, the only thing that’s really affected me is I’m also more cautious everywhere. The potential for some chaos is definitely present and is happening in so many areas.
      Have you been watching Yeonmi Park? I learned so much from her videos about N.K. It’s amazing what they live with. And talk about controlling “words”. I don’t know if these are the specific words, but I think she said they don’t have words for things like love or freedom (or maybe it’s oppression)…. So the concepts are completely foreign.

    Two years ago, I gave up and sent my difficult child to school! Y’all are so right, it was terrible! He was gone all day, and then 2 hours of homework every nite! It was so much more work for me! One semester and he was back to homeschool!😢 The only good thing that came of it was that I’m never tempted to send them back anymore!

    • @OurHOMEschoolPlan
      @OurHOMEschoolPlan  9 месяцев назад +1

      You have to make it work now!! 😁😁😁
      Yeah and I didn’t even mention the social aspect that could affect your child if you sent them. That’s why my kid would be distracted all day, either by passing notes and giggling or by some other sort of drama and gossip happening! That is definitely one of the MAJOR perks of homeschooling. Sadly, some of that drama has creeped into our home anyway bc we still have friends who go to school and still involve the homeschool kids into the drama. But at least my kids are not hearing it and dealing with it during school hours on a daily basis! I remember the social drama being the worst part of school (when it was negative drama, that is!) Mean girls are def a thing! And with those kind of issues inducing anxiety, how can a child concentrate successfully?
      So yeah…when you consider all those things, sending them away to school as an option gets taken off the table real quick! 😳

      Revelation is a tough book! And actually, the study that our church has done has shown that the end times is in more than just Revelation. It’s in bits and pieces throughout other New Testament books. But Revelation definitely has the most detail about the judgement to come! It’s good to know to keep you sober and hopefully inspire you to keep being bold to the lost.

    I have to commend your mother's heart! I know that all of this that you are feeling is in love, compassion, and hope for your children. I have to disagree that a good soldier, for God or a battlefield, is one that is fearful. 2 Timothy 1:7 states: "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
    In fact, we are told to fear not 70 times throughout Scripture. There is only one thing we are told to fear is God. There is great wisdom in this! This is because whatever you fear most IS your God. Whatever fears you give yourself to is the same thing you worship. As a father, I can confidently say that being afraid for our children because of what God could do to them is not the same thing as fearing God. That's when we have unfortunately made our children are gods. And, as you eloquently stated in the video, our children are God's… Our children are NOT gods. (Sorry, couldn't resist the wordplay LOL)
    It indeed comes from love but what does perfect love look like? 1 John 4:18 states: “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
    Yes, a watchman should be alert, but when a watchman is fearful, he makes mistakes. Jumpy watchman unfortunately have shot their own men in tragic cases of friendly fire. I believe this happens in the church many times as well. James 2:25-26 tells us that Rahab, a prostitute, was saved. Not only does this declare that she was saved, but her works are touted as her justification for why we should believe she is saved! How many modern Christians do you know who could confidently declare the salvation of a prostitute? And even still, how many could say that the work is what revealed it? Unfortunately, I believe that if Rahab walked into a church today, she would be gunned down (metaphorically) by fearful watchman who are not capable of seeing that she was an ally the whole time.
    You present a single child in your video that you're worried about. It is good to be zealous in your faith but the zeal should drive fear away, not justify it. Zealotry unto fear, aimed at our children will always push them away from Christ and not towards. It will either push them away because they believe you and will sit rigid in fear instead of resting in Christ. Or they will be pushed away in rebellion for being made out to be the rebellious child. I too want the salvation of my children to be obvious. More than that, however, I simply want the salvation of my children the way that God sees fit to call them.
    I type this to you and love my dear sister! You seem to be in a state of terrible distress and it pains me to see you that way. Matthew 6:27 asks if we can add a single hour to our life by worrying. We cannot. We also cannot bring our children to living waters by worrying. We have certainly been called to participate in the army of God as his soldiers and watchman, that is true! But the battle we have been called to participate in has already been one! It is finished! We are the hands and feet of a singular soldier who finished it on his own and we cannot add to that work. Because God loves us, he asks us to participate in the battle but he doesn't need us to win. The battle is won! It is finished! Sin and death were defeated on the cross and will be tossed into the furnace when he comes again. I agree that there are many Christians asleep but I ask you not to mistake Christians and joyous optimism over the wonderful victory God achieved for us to be the same as a Christian asleep. We are very awake and are simply in celebration over the assured victory. God bless you my dear sister! I hope you found this to be in love.

      I think you’ve misunderstood me and what I was actually trying to express. I’m not fearful. I’m alert. People in my comments (like you) are saying I’m fearful. So I was making a point about that.
      The point was really around this verse in
      1 Peter 5:8 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
      And the point about Gideons army, I actually neglected to finish the point….they were outnumbered 1 to 475. God chose the weak army, the “fearful” or alert soldiers bc they were humble and not going into war with their own confidence. They had to fully depend on God and trust. And in the end, God didn’t need them to fight. They didn’t even raise a sword. The enemy destroyed itself because the battle is the Lords.
      But thank you for your encouragement. 😉

    • @jordanpease3329
      @jordanpease3329 9 месяцев назад

      @@OurHOMEschoolPlan With all due respect my sister, I believe the people (like me) are saying these things because because of your understanding of Judges chapter 7. Verse 3 states: "Now announce to the army, ‘Anyone who trembles with FEAR may turn back and leave Mount Gilead.’” So twenty-two thousand men left, while ten thousand remained."
      The very first group of soldiers the Lord sent home for the fearful ones. After that, the Lord sent home the ones who fell to their knees and lapped the water like a dog so next came the undisciplined soldiers. The remaining soldiers were brave and disciplined. Now, you're absolutely right that the Lord did it on his own but the ones who are left are specifically stated to NOT be fearful in Judges chapter 7. Yes, the Lord desires humble people who submit to him for their well-being and their will but the Lord does not desire us to be fearful milk sops. I cannot think of a single linguist or hermeneutic that would consider God's chosen Army in Judges 7 to be considered weak or fearful as a way of translating alert.
      Type I Peter 5:8 indeed encourages us to be sober minded and watchful but there is a reason verse 7 comes first which states: "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
      Verse 9 explains how we are to resist the devil who prowls. It says we are to do so in faith. I suppose I'm not understanding how I am misunderstanding you. Your exact words were that you weren't being negative but realistic. You said that the Army of Gideon was fearful which directly contradicts the Scripture. I'm not trying to attack you. I just really believe that you have misunderstood the intent of what it means to be watchful. I say this because it's not realistic to be negative. It's not realistic because we've already won! The battle is over! Hallelujah! The gospel literally means good news. The world falling is just evidence of Christ getting closer and closer. Now is the time to rejoice in the face of our opposition, not sink into despair and negativity. And you can do both my dear sister! I rejoice that the day of the Lord is closer and closer but I also started homeschooling my children due to the wicked things they were being taught. By your faith, you are fighting in a battle that you cannot lose. Victory is assured! By faith, we are in the seventh day and it's time to rest. It's time to cast our anxieties upon the Lord. It's time to surrender our fears. You're in his grace my dear sister. There is absolutely nothing that can get you anymore. As you stated in your last video, he's our daddy and he's got you! There is no such thing as sad heaven. Revelation 21:4 states that there will be no sorrow or crying or pain. If this is true (and I believe it is) we will not be in heaven weeping about how our children are not with us or about how our loved ones didn't make it. We must be ever watchful for our children, church family, and our friends and neighbors… But, we must remember that we simply offer the security that both you and I have and allow others to accept.
      I wish you the best of blessings in your struggles and endeavors with your children. You clearly care the world for your little ones (who aren't so little anymore I have gathered.) 🙂

      @jordanpease3329 there’s a difference between a “fear” that paralyzes you and makes you flee, verses a natural “fear” that is normal for any soldier. Just because they’re brave, doesn’t mean there isn’t concern for the battle. Infact, this is the kind of “fear” that faith can overcome. It doesn’t mean you are fearless. It means you can still act and trust despite that. That was my point. God doesn’t want us to be so fearful that we freeze or just run away like the first group on the army. But being sober minded and alert and understanding that there is a battle and not pretending that there isnt…or thinking that we can somehow fight it on our strength, that’s been the point of both videos. The soldiers that went into battle with Gideon were alert and aware. Being alert is what I meant by “fear”. It’s not the paralyzing fear. It’s the concern and watchfulness for the enemy.
      I shouldn’t have used the word “fear” in my video bc clearly it’s caused you confusion.,but I thought all the context of the rest of the video made it clear what I was meaning. When I reached out to several friends who were on the live, they also said they never thought I was perpetuating fear. It was clear I was talking about being realistic about the battle we’re in.
      Having joy is not the absence of burdens. Jesus himself had burdens. He sweated blood in the garden. I’m sure there was a certain level of human concern of “fear” for what the suffering he was about to go through. He did pray that God would “let this cup pass from him if possible.” But faith is much more powerful than that which is why he also accepted his calling and said, “nevertheless, not my will, but thine be done.”

    • @jordanpease3329
      @jordanpease3329 9 месяцев назад

      @@OurHOMEschoolPlan Yeah, I think it could probably be assumed that all people fighting for their lives feel fear to a certain degree so if that's all you're referencing, then I agree with you. I just found it interesting that the Scripture itself begins by weeding out those who are afraid. (At least, afraid enough to leave.
      I wouldn't say I'm confused but we simply have a disagreement on what a proper manifestation of fear should look like. That's okay. Disagreements are perfectly acceptable within the body of the church. You are still my sister in Christ and I can't wait to spend eternity with you! 🙂
      Oh, Lord knows that I have my burdens! I actually have a severe physical disability to the point that I need to walk on crutches every day. I cannot feed myself, clothe myself, or do my own toileting. If the Lord saw fit to take that bitter cup from me, there is no describing the rejoice I would feel to be able to lift my little four-year-old girl off the ground with my own hands and spin her in the air like other daddies do. What I'm talking about is having joy and optimism in the face of your burdens, knowing you have victory! Christ has a way of giving you a skin so thick that the burdens simply become trivial. Yes, I can't walk or do a lot of things, but it's all temporary! Very soon, I will be living with my remarkable God, basking in the countenance of his glory! And I will be doing so with you! God bless you sister!
