I miss this show. Even in my twenties, now an artist myself, I still think you can still learn so much from Neil. He still gives you new ideas as well as fantastic tips.
I don't think people realise how much of an icon niel is. I know teenagers and kids have always been wild and rebel rousers, but look at them today. Out and about causing crime and stabbing one another, and I can see why. There's nothing on TV anymore to inspire kids. No matter whether you was from a high income or a low income family, you could copy a project from art attack at a next to nothing price with items that were accessible in the home. I loved art attack as a kid, and every weekend my parents would give me a couple of quid to buy art supply's to make things I had seen on the show. It kept me entertained for hours and developed my mind to be productive, I never caused any trouble. Nowadays, today's influences are people with expensive clothing, high end gadgets that are just not doing anything imaginative and productive. Want to solve the social problems with today's kids???? Get the BBC to open up their checkbook, and get art attack and niel buchanan back on TV!!!!!!!!
The sly wink and nudge about him being in Zzzap! I missed completely as a kid but not now. This show is how I learnt every part of art I know today. Neil will always be the one and only Art Attack host to me ;;'x
bloody silly art college not accepting Neil!! there loss our gain! he's amazing at art, i learnt all my skills and tricks from this show! and i got into university!! rock on Neil!
I remember this edition of Art Attack From Monday 2nd February 1998. I like the way how Neil says "Haven't I seen him somewhere?" pretending that he doesn't know Smart Arty.
Really hard to get the perspective when you are doing normal artwork but to get the perspective right with those really big art attacks is really amazing.
This episode is one of my favourites I absolutely love Art Attack I always have and I always will it is a brilliant children's arts and crafts programme and Neil made lots of fantastic things in each episode.
oooh my god. i used to watch this guy on the italian art attack show, making big artistic creations on the ground, remaining silent all the time. i haven't watched this show in -what?- 6 years and now i can even hear neil talking!!!!!!!!!!!! this is the first time i feel like thanking the internet

@MsMozila06 no if you buy a self hardening clay you don't need to bake it. at the end, he was showing examples of frogs made of different types of clay, one of them being the one that you have to bake, and he said to be careful if you ever choose to use that type

Does anyone remember a Big Art Attack where Neil is at school and fed up of the horrible school dinners and does a big Art Attack of the school dinners in a dustbin? and then all the angry dinner ladies chase him!
@Centralfan94 Yes I remember that one where Neil goes to a school and is fed up with the horrible school dinners that was in the tenth series shown in early part of 1998 I can even remember how the school finished the letter it went "Whatever you do, don't stay for lunch because our lunch is disgusting!"
