That double bass REALLY made us all understand the amount of anxiety she was going through when Landa showed up. There could be no better song choice. Perfection.
@@blooflea2965 Yes. He knew that by letting things proceed he'd still have enough time to either stop the ploy or let it happen and claim credit, as did happen. The cream deserved an oscar though because her not eating it after the creams arrival confirmed his suspicions.
Here's a life goal: strive to be so badass that when you walk into a room full of people, this music will be blasting as you walk in so that everyone goes: AH CRAP! IT'S THAT GUY!
joe man gets it, then again, the point was that everyone who was taken out of their comfort zone got fucked. Aldo and his team couldn't pull off espionage for a second, they were all fighters, once they went undercover, everything went to hell, both in the bar and in the theater. Landa could've killed him there. Then after Landa thought he was completely safe, Aldo knew Landa "won", so he made sure he couldn't change colors again. So in the end, when you have the upper hand, don't give it away.
It sounds so much like A Nightmare on Elm Street… which is funny cuz the composer of this song, Charles Bernstein, was the composer for A Nightmare on Elm Street!
The Bear Jew's introduction was such a glorious and memorable moment; a score befitting of an uprising hero of formidable strength, and one of Aldo's finest soldiers; a slugger, who we could wholeheartedly expect to carry to the finish as Aldo's sideman. The Introduction, the Cinema, the scenes with Hitler; every scene all had it's purpose but was disjointed; here, in this scene, the connection of it all is made drastically clear. At the time, we didn't even know Mimieux was Shoshanna from the Intro, but the moment that "Landa" is mentioned, it's a shocker for those paying attention to the movie (and caught his name) as the double bass starts pounding, and the camera pans up; the flashback plays... an equally formidable introduction. One that lets you know that Donny has been officially outclassed, especially on his own.
