Let your mind relax. Let your thoughts drift.
Let the bad memories fade.
Let peace be upon you. Surrender yourself to your dreams.
Let them wash over you like the gentle waves of the bluest ocean.
Let them envelop you. Comfort you.
Imagine somewhere calm. Imagine somewhere safe.
Imagine yourself in a frozen forest.
You're standing in a clearing.
Trees around you so tall, they touch the sky.
Pure white snowflakes fall all around.
You can feel them melt on your skin. You are not cold.
It cannot overcome the warmth of your beating heart. Can you hear it? You only have to listen.
You hear it slowing? You are slowing it.
You are in control.

The most memorable part of the entire Black Ops 3 experience. We finally found the Frozen Forest and it was inside our minds all this time
The real frozen forest was the friends we made along the way
The Forrest is only a sound connected to a heart near, that can stay a animal truly in human form
Actually in the game, it doesn't exist, it's just a way for the AI to trick people and get more power
When I got high it was really deep in my mind, best feeling ever
People need to use this around the world. The people need to see the Frozen Forest.
Spread the Doctor's words!
Nooo, don't give In to it......

Taylor is that you
This has to be an actual therapeutic method for relaxation because it actually helps me.
I'm sure it is. And I'm glad to help you!

"Taylor."
This was one of the craziest endings I experienced in cod blew my mind
When appear at the hospital and then go back into the fight your playing as Taylor
While the taylor we see is Dylan Stone
And thats why you appear in the hospital a 2nd time
Nice!!
Can ya explain why he said taylor i never understood it was his mind broken at the end?
I miss bo3, i was very fascinated by the campaign and the “frozen forest”. Too bad they’re not continuing the campaign with the next game.
Bo3 sucked

I love this fucking game.
Hands down one of the best campaigns I've ever played, along with Spec Ops: The Line.
The story was great! I do hope that they bring back the frozen forest concept (except no Corvus and no DNI infection)
Jordan Keperling pretty much you were corvus, (not the player character but you seeing this game-movie)
@@georgemakrov6174 im not sure if you knew this but the character you play as "Player" died in the 2nd campaign level because the surgery failed and unfortunately he didn't make it, and since the dni is connected to Taylor, the entire campaign is just going through taylors memories, no one died besides you, everyone's still alive and Taylor or hendricks was never the bad guy

:The Frozen Forest Poem
Bo3 was actually one of my favorite cod games, I loved the campaign, it felt different and it was really cool to see such a concept be executed by such talented people. The game may not be the most liked cod game, but holds a lot of memories.
screw asmr, this works better
EXACTLY
this is asmr
Yes
I know it's been years but something about this just makes me feel, calm collected, like nothing matters, it makes me feel safe and comfortable. His voice only amplifies this feeling of belonging.
definitely same, i have terrible anxiety so every morning i listen to this and meditate to it, it helps a lot. makes me feel calm, relax, and collected.
@@marzallen6762 crazy that a video game did therapeutic stuff like this so well that people like us around the world are still going back to it half a decade later. ultimate props to treyarch
Why is this actually comforting
When it said it you can feel your heart beating then it said it's slowing down
I was so freaked out for a second and now I'm relax

@@ticklemewesker7019 Im sure your friend is in a better place, i dont know where that may be, but maybe he's found his own frozen forest
You two will meet again, in a frozen forest
The Frozen Forest was the best part of this game, it was such a fascinating concept to me.
I loved how during the final mission he says it like he's slowly losing his mind rlly representing what he's gone through maybe it shouldn't hv been my first call of duty but I love it all the same
I thought “you are in control” randomly and this video rushed back to my memory. Crazy how something can be buried so deep, but yet so easily recovered by a key phrase. I haven’t watched this in like 4 years. But I recalled the audio perfectly. Very calming audio and the situation around it is intriguing.
Damn it bo3 even if your ending was odd this is so good
i have fallen asleep right at the end of the monologue
Why do people hate this campaign I don't get it
The frozen Forrest was really cool and I loved the 54 immortals they were dope, actually loved it
because it’s a confusing story, but i love it.
One hell of a campaign
After a long and difficult day at work, I come back home and listen to this. Don't have anyone to talk to or call so I just sit down and imagine myself in a frozen forest. Been doing this for almost 2 years. It feels really good.
stay strong brother and dont isolate yourself
I always loved this game, and it's ideas. After my mother passing recently, I needed this. I'm not at peace yet, but I think I can be.
wow this helps me calm down. The world do needs to use this.
It really works when I'm having migraines, which are pretty common for me.
I like walking in the forest near my hometown, and winter is my favorite time of year, so image of frozen forest is especially good for me.
Thanks for uploading it.
Always loved this part. I never saw anything so tranquil in a COD.. it brings me back to beating the BO3 campaign for the first time. I honestly loved it, felt it was misunderstood and underrated.
yeah, you are right, People even consider it a black ops campaing. I don’t consider Black Ops 2, a Black Ops either. I mean, sure it has the characters but since BO, BOCW and BO3 were related about CIA Ops and a mindfucking plot, BO2 didn’t have any of that. The plot was more MW-like where you are in the army and try to stop a terrorist. BO3 campaing is very underrated because the people ignore the objectives of it. Watch Treyarch interviews about this campaign. They said they wanted people to uncover the truth behind the plot. I see it as a form of establishing a Campaign community like the zombies one where all the players try to uncover all the secrets. Unfortunately, people just want to stop Russians and this concept was clearly misunderstood. But please, before saying something is trash, try to understand it and its context because people just overhate it saying train “go boom” as if the storyline was confusing as fuck. Yeah, the last level was more mindfucking but all the missions eliminating Taylor and his team are easy to follow, so why the fuck people didn’t even understand that. The only bad thing about the execution of the story was the intro logs. In my opinion they should have been available to read them in the data vault once you complete the story. But even with that, someone transcribed it on a wikia so it was a form to get to them.
I see the BO3 story as the superposition of two timelines. The first is the Manhunt of Dylan Stone and the rogue team PHI, and the other is the DNI infection. While the DNI infection plot it’s related to both timelines, the missions on this timeline were the first two and the last one. All the plot of the Manhunt of Dylan Stone it's quite literal what you see while playing those missions but the motives were different. They didn’t go rogue because a DNI infection, it’s because they saw the illegal experiments of Coalescence Corporation that they wanted to let the people know the truth. They were called to Black Station because the CIA wanted to kill them in order to keep their secrets buried but Stone and the others discovered the plan and kill their executioners. Now, Hendricks and Taylor were on a mission to stop them. Hendricks is irritated as the plot develops not because the infection. It’s because he wasn’t feeling right about killing their former friends, so he was stressed as fuck (I think Hendricks is more human when you see it like this). While playing the missions Demon Within and the mission of the refinery, Hall and Kane refer to you as Taylor, foreshadowing the ending. This doesn’t seem that clear because the player answers on both occasions that he will stop Taylor. One year later, starts the DNI infection plot. As you know, you got killed in the second mission after your injuries on the first mission. The agony of the players created Corvus and infected you and the new Taylor team while they were in your DNI. Corvus will create a simulation to get the answers about the reasons of the Coalescence Projects. During the simulation, the consciousness of the player merged with Taylor and the player believe Hall, Diaz and the others were the bad guys. Every time the story changes the location to Singapur, Cairo and Zurich, the player gets disoriented. That it’s seen when Hendricks says to us: Are you still with us? or the first time you enter the safehouse when the player says: Where are we again? After, killing all of Taylor’s team (because yes, Hall, Diaz and Maretti actually die because they were considered hostile by the player), Hendricks wants to get revenge on Coalescence because it was their fault that they were tasked to kill Stone and the others and now, another time, caused a DNI infection that made Taylor become crazy (controlled by the player to kill Diaz and the others). This is the final mission where you have to stop Hendricks. This mission wasn’t a simulation. You are playing as Taylor but the player's consciousness takes control over his DNI. That it’s seen in the very first cutscene makes you seem like you are disoriented. That’s why Kane said to you if you are still with her. Coming from the simulation, the player thinks he has to kill Hendricks because of the infection, but as I said, it was not because of that. If you think of it, it's kinda similar to the Reznov hallucination that Mason had. Once you killed Hendricks, Corvus will put you in another simulation to prevent you from killing for real because he needed you in order to get answers. The whole simulation it’s about clearing the infection. At the end you erase your consciousness from Taylor’s DNI and that's why he says Taylor at the end, because as I said, you were playing as him during the whole mission except from the simulation where Taylor was a bug caused by the merging of two consciousness in one DNI. I didn’t see anyone explaining the story like this but I think that this is what makes more sense. I didn’t comment on all the details due to the length of this.
To conclude. Try replaying it, while reading the data vault (which explains you more connections with the BO2 universe) where you can read about the factions, the explanation of the NRC - Cairo war motives and much more to get the full context of the setting. Try to do research on the intro logs. Then, once players understand the story as it meant to be played, make a good appreciation of the campaign before saying it’s trash because it was bad written when it was designed to do research by a whole community (that is even related to the fact that they made this campaign coop in order to make all players put the pieces together) For those who wanted them to continue Mason’s family, BO3 actually did it. If you enter in “Project Prometheus” and then in “Candidates” in the data vault, you will find the name of the four players. One of them is C.Mason. The individual letter it’s because you can customize your gender so it would make any sense to give a real name at all. How do I know it? Well, it’s because of the individual letter of the name, because there are four, and because it says two of them died and the other two were not considered to join the project because of their injuries (first mission). Also I don’t think Treyarch just put a Mason character for nothing. If they didn’t give you an actual name it’s because they focussed on questioning the future of humanity. It wasn’t about a soldier or war, it was about life supremacy over all the technology (fuck the last mission is called life). Of course, the coop had to do with this concept of not giving names. Also if you put the first letter of each protocols of the intro log (which can be seen without doing nothing) and put them in the order of the events, you get “We are Taylor” the same way you get “Reznov is dead” by doing the same thing in the BO1 campaign. As I see it, the story was very good, but Treyarch forgot they are making a Call of Duty and the players would not do what they were trying. So yes, it’s underrated and overhated as fuck. Even playing it without understanding the full context, at least you understand what is happening in every mission. The problem was that the last one requires you to put things in place but still that point the campaign is very understandable, at least for me anyways. The characters were kinda human. Stone team questioned their past actions once they discovered a project that caused the death of hundreds of thousand and try to reveal the truth, Hendricks questioning his mission because they were his friends, and the romance between Kane and Taylor it’s not the typical US vs Soviets (or russian) that COD usually does. Also if you think about, Taylor is a tragical character. He losts his two teams (Stone one, and Diaz one), his best friend Hendricks and the love of his life Kane. In what other COD campaign you feel like this?
ive just broke up with my girlfriend this is helping me calm down thank you so much
How are you doing now
did you try turning it on and off again
Even though I was very pissed that bo3 didn't relate to bo1 or bo2 I loved this campaign
Just imagine that this can be our future, we combine with computers and the computer wants us to think we are alive , it makes us imagine we still have a purpose (that being the missions we are doing) but deep down we feel something is wrong and this seed grows into doubt, so we did deeper despite the machine not wanting us to until finally realising we are dead (the player says that he is Taylor so he acknowledges that he is dead and now just lived as memories from Taylor's life)
But ultimately the truth is too painful and we can't do anything besides letting the machine take over and once again make us forget we are dead while putting us back into the same cycle of events and this process repeats forever (that's the first mission is actually the last, it loops)
It was honestly heart breaking for me that the character I was playing at was actually dead for all the missions apart the first one, the rest was just hallucinations basically, while I thought I was fighting a glitch (corvus) I was fighting for my character to acknowledge his own death
Very sad
yeah, you are right, People even consider it a black ops campaing but it's actually related in a way or another. I don’t consider Black Ops 2, a Black Ops either. This campaign was severely underrated
Who would have thought that a video game with produce a great therapy session if you use it correctly. Darn this game made for the line of parody with this story but you got to give it to it it produces some great therapy.
You know what’s amazing. That if you lay in your bed, put your headphones on, and close your eyes. You can create an entire aria in your head, somewhere you may have never been to, or a place you visited long ago. And yet it feels so vivid and real... the human mind is truly magnificent
This helps me alot.. I have trouble staying calm and seeping because of anxiety and paranoia. This is legit like a therapeutic1 relaxation session for me.
I was in a bad mood today but now this calmed me down
this helped me come to terms with some things. im grateful it exists.
I played Black Ops 3 to platinum and if you going through the campange for the 50th time, you get really hypnotised by this.. great Storyline.
It's strange. No matter what emotional turmoil I find myself in on a day to day basis, when I think of this...I can feel my heart rate slow down. And the lump in my throat from holding in my emotions goes away. It is truly magical
So much more powerful during the winter, can barely resist
This still helps me years and years later

bro I played the campaign the first time I played this I was depressed as hell and once I heard those words bro I was so calm and relaxing
Imo bo3 had a really great campaign it really got me interested. I would play it everyday.I got this game for free as a pre-order from this store that owed my dad something and I wanted this game. I'm happy that I had the chance to play this. Now I usually only play on PC and now I'm really bad at the game since I'm not used to most controllers now.
This is helping with my anxiety atacks
Dude it pissed me off so much during that mission with all the people that died but it was cool when you found the forest
This is soo relaxing and scary as shit at the same time
Love love and love.
Great job :)

This is literally the only thing I remember about this game
This is by far used quote in black ops 3 story
I only payed bo3 because that was one of my only games, but now it's a major player among my games
I played the campaign recently although it wasn't the best I still really liked it.
THE NUMBERS MASON
Never played Black Ops. Was sent here by a friend so disclaimer, idk what's going on
But much of the time, my mind moves fast. Speeds so fast I can't even keep up, I'll jump between like 8 topics in a matter of seconds. It's just so fast. Now usually, I don't mind this. It is apart of my identity, and a part that enables me to learn and understand things near instantaneously.
But sometimes, it all slows down. No more jumping from narrative to narrative, no imagining the infinite possiblities all fracturing off of our present, spiraling off into a vast expanse of knowledge I am always chasing. Like snowflakes, one thought splits off into countless others, infinite complexities and intricacies to explore.
Sometimes, it's quiet. There's just...quiet. and I watch the snow from afar. I watch the wind whistle through the trees above me as I watch the vast expanse that is the universe in a silent wonder. A frozen forest, that's what I see when all is quiet. On the inside of my eyelids, nothing but snow and sky. When all slows down, that's where you'll find me, sitting in a frozen forest.
Again, no clue what the context is, but I find it facinating that this exists.
