I think because of how both maneuverability factors in as well as targeting, that having lighter/less protective/more 'agility-prone' boots/legs setups makes a lot more sense than going for cumbersome more heavily armored - who hits your legs or feet? maybe if we get to critter-enemies that are medium-height instead of human height, that will matter more, but lightness of legs! then go heavier on top and yeah, good combo I feel/think
I have only ever read the word and never looked up the phonetics, and always said: queer-ass not to be crude or anything, that's just how it reads to me
