No ones body is good for concealed carry. Everyone says I am to big, I am too small. No one ever say oh yeah my body is just right. It will always be a little uncomfortable.
I had the same concern. Depending on WHAT I'm wearing, I LOVE the Sticky holster. The compression from your jeans/leggings combined with the texture of the holster, it doesnt move at all. I can draw from it just fine. Worth a try.
I carry iwb at the small of my back. I bought the holster for opposite my shooting hand so I pull with my shooting hand Left handed dominat right handed iwb.

I am a dude, and sometimes I like the idea of carrying in a bag. I recommend carrying a revolver in a bag. Why do i carry in a bag? There are lots of reasons. You may want a larger weapon, but it's summer out. Why carry a .32 or .380 when you can carry .357? A bag is using shoulders rather than back. For someone like myself that has back problems from his service in the Marine Corps Infantry, it's much more comfortable to carry when they have sciaticas. I sometimes have to carry a cane. I also do a labor intensive job that helps my pain because i have to live. I have to stretch. Another reason to off body carry is because it works for them. There are front packs, and the dreaded fanny packs that keep the bag close to the front. As a man, i don't appendix carry. I don't want to take that risk, but with a front pack, i can put my hands inside the bag. I can even fire through the bag with a revolver. When i carry with my system on the body, i carry at a 7 o clock.
I'm a firearms instructor in NC. Been doing it for a lot of years. I really never have a one size fits all for women shooters & how to carry. This is an excellent video. Thanks.
There are a lot of great options for on body carry for women. Which this channel has done an excellent job of showing. Off body should only be used when there is no other option given the circumstances.
I'm so glad you are continuing to help more women. I think men take carrying a firearm for granted. Because women needs to think of so many more outfit changes & ways to carry safely than guys do. Always keep up the great work 👍🏻

I found off body carry to be more comfortable. I have a messenger bag that has two seperate compartments. The one closest to my body is the carry area. Found and got a Crossbreed Purse Defender holster system. That plus some velcro to hold it in place and it is perfect. I do not leave the bag unattended ever and am always aware of people around me to make sure no one else would have access to it.

Only 4.5 years in to CC. Started out off body in a fanny pack. I've also tried sticky holsters and inside the waistband. Settled on pocket carry 95% of the time. I still occasionally carry off body, but seeing your video talking about it here reminded me why off body makes me uncomfortable. I carry a fanny pack often, like half the time, keep car keys, wallet, a knife, what ever in it so my pockets aren't full of stuff. Occasionally I still use a fanny pack for my firearm. Even though I am am use to having a bag, fanny pack, I have had two close calls, momentarily letting it get out of my control. Once time I hung it up in a restroom while I took care of bio business and walked out the door after washing my hands and forgetting to grab my bag, I only got 3 steps out the door and remembered it, but what if I hadn't remembered. While on a road trip with my ex, we were in Canada, stopped for a bio break and she had hung her purse up on a hook. She forgot it there and didn't remember until we were 100 miles down the road. That was a scarry, long 100 mile drive back. Passport, cash, cards, no gun, but goes to show you we can get distracted and lose track of our bags. Even once is scarry. I had one other close call and now unless I am in the woods, I carry on body. It's too easy to be distracted.
I really like sling backpacks that have two or more zippered compartments. The idea of conceal and carry is very appealing to me, and these types of bags were great for that.
Thank you for this vid. I went with a GTM one, specifically because of the cable in strap to help stop cutting of the purse, and they looked really nice :) The top down or side option on it is nice too. Again thanks for the vids.
This was great! The thing I struggle with though is how to carry when you have to get undressed; doctor appt. You don't want your purse on the chair even though its just you and the doc. But you also don't want to avoid carrying and have it be the day someone decides to storm the doc's office.🤦🏾♀️
In the doc's examination room, off body really isn't an issue. It's available if a nut job raids the office. I would be more concerned about the odds of a meteor strike.
I will use my cc purse even if I'm carrying on body for situations like that, sou have a secure place to stash my pew. Also works for public restrooms.

In my truck or car, the bag is on the floor, right side, the bag's strap is around the seat belt. GTM like yours. Outside I always wear it cross body. (I now carry a Security 9). IWB when sitting is impossible to draw. I also use a tether if I in a restaurant and un-crossbody. Great video. Long story but I have been carring a long time.
I like that you fairly addressed the concerns of those against off body carry. In particular to the premise of purse snatchers trying to take it off your body, I imagine that your best defense is, as you stated, situational awareness, but in the form that you see them coming and can draw before they grab. In the event that they grab before you draw, my concern is that a likely stronger male attacker will overpower you, pull you to the ground, etc--as seen in one or more videos of purse snatchings out there. For women that do this I think a class on having that fight would be a good thing. Weapon retention class, specific to off body carry for women. As for anyone, man or woman, who carries his or her gun in a normal backpack worn on the back as normal, I don't see how it's a good thing.
I just recently found your videos and have found them very helpful. My wife loves them. Your advice on off body carry has helped a lot! Recently I wanted to buy a small p32. After calling my wife to make sure everything was fine she informed me that if I get to buy a gun she gets a cc purse. After checking out what the gun store had to offer I bought her what she thought was the perfect cc purse. After bringing it home she was delighted. She did not carry u til now because she was very uncomfortable with a holster but the cc purse was the perfect answer. Now she carries every time she goes out on her own. Thanks for your advice it has helped my wife being more comfortable being armed.
Thank you for your video. I purchased a CC purse a few years ago at Cabela's. I am always concerned about exactly what you talked about. Plus, I have the side opening. Which I agree with you about the draw. Never heard of the UkoalaBag before, but sadly they don't have anything right now that I think I'd want to wear color wise. I love that one though. Thank you for talking about this. As a female CC I feel very alone.
I have noticed that i carry my bag very carefully when i got large cash from the bank. It really sucks to have purse or bag stolen. Maybe have alot of cash in purse at same time as concealled carry will make some of us safer. Also must have a good place in the car. But then the laws of loaded gun in car. Sucks to unload and load a revolver. Need to be loaded to be safe when you got your gun. Make sure car is secured from a theif. On person carry is safer as long as no one sees your gun buldge. So complicated. Thanks for bag advice. Also with bag you can have a bigger gun. Lol
Hi Stav… Thanks for another great video. Also, an excuse for my wife to buy another purse 😂 There are some great men’s sling bags that work well too. (No, not a man purse) I use an Osprey Packs Daylite Shoulder Sling in the summer. Great for gun/wallet/pepper spray, etc. Same issue as a purse though. Gotta keep it on your body! Thx
Lug makes a cute little bag with (2) straps, a shoulder (crossbody) strap and waste strap. Unlikely anyone would try to run up and grab it. I like the thigh strap even better.
I personally have started using a Viktos Upscale 2. I wanted the leather version but I think they stopped making them, so I just went with plain black. I can fit my MR920 with a compensator, surefire light, and an RMR. The bag stays on me everywhere except the gym where it’s right next to me. Easily the most comfortable way for me to carry and I can just swing around the front of my body while I’m driving.
I love it. I encourage any women that’ll listen to train and carry in the times we’re living in . I understand on body vs off body . But not enough people talk about having your gun with consistently is better than only having it once in awhile because you don’t like carrying on body. As long as you are aware , train, and responsible where your purse is and it’s in there properly and easy to draw. I’ll take that all day
I think Fanny pack holsters are a great alternative also. Especially for women, people aren’t suspicious at all of a women with a Fanny pack. It’s normal
Excellent! One thing I'd add to the purse requirement is that there should be a fairly stiff material to separate the compartment that you carry the gun in and the rest of the purse: Could be a stiff plastic piece of it could be the leather of the purse. The problem with converting a regular purse to a carry purse is sometimes there's just thin fabric separating the compartment. With that, small things in the main compartment of the purse can bunch up on the fabric and possibly get caught in the trigger guard of the gun in the adjacent compartment. Purses made for carry usually have this.
I had to re think my attire. I used to carry in a holster @ 3 O clock and wear an over shirt for concealment. I had to switch to a belly band holster and attach a load bearing strap from the holster position, down my back to the 9 o clock position. I can wear this rig all day long with out any discomfort.
My concern with off-body carry is quite often the purse is the reason for the attack. How hard would it be to access your firearm if you have both hands on your purse in a tug of war? Remembering, if the perp does end up with your purse, they not only have everything of value in your purse, they also have your weapon.
The ukoala bag looks interesting as a person that can't carry a shoulder bag 90% of the times I normally cary different bumbags for my stuff like wallets phone
I would have to change the way I dress. I live in leggings and a holster would not work. BUT I always have my cross body purse on me. I don't have my CCW yet, but this is so helpful in figuring out my off body carry options.
Thank you for this information! After watching your video, I looked into the Ukoala bag and just purchased one! I also really appreciate your discount code as well! Thank you.
Excellent content in your videos, Stavroula. I have recommended you to all my friends who have or are considering obtaining their CCW. BTW, my daughter just purchased her first firearm, and is starting the process of conceal carry in California. As a result of watching your video, she just purchased the Ukoala. She loves it!!
I recommend the philster enigma holster as an option for carrying if all other methods don't work. I do occasionally purse carry but if I do it rarely..I have a carbiner clip I attach it to my person and carry cross body. Or I clip to my grocery cart. I like the bag with leg strap too. I put Velcro on my kydex holster and in my bag .
I love your emails with stories btw. I always share stories with you it's a great opportunity to relate and connect with what's going on in the world. Thanks for those.
Very interesting and good vid. In 30 years, I’ve never carried off body, nor would I ever… but that’s my choice. It would be great to see you shoot live fire on a timer with some of the many non-traditional (no holster) carry methods you use.
As a breastfeeding mom a crossbody bag I feel would be safest. I feed in public and would be able to shift bag to my back feed and readjust and keep kids away from it and not rub against it. As long as you keep it zipped up and on you in your control
Thank you I’m thinking of getting a CCW but I don’t want to change my whole wardrobe. I was looking into CCW purses but the ones that look like a fanny pack. It goes across the chest. I love he you have options and different styles
thanks your videos are always very important because weapons are a very sensitive topic.you have a high forehead and big and wide eyes, in physiognomy it means that you are a confident person by nature, you have good ability to influence others, the distance between the two eyes is big just because of your wide forehead and this also means high tolerance. you are most likely not interested in the small details, but rather in a broad view or the completeness of things. definitely good manager ... also very nice ... which is good. in my opinion. if you carry the weapon in your bag you run some fundamental dangers: the snatching of the bag, forgetting it somewhere and having to take it out more time and maybe having to distract the gaze from danger even for a few seconds in the involuntary gesture of looking for it ...
I would like to see a comparison of different carry options and the speed of access for you. My wife is currently shoppig for a handgun for carry. Carrying off-body seems crazy to me but I have never done it any other way. It reminds me of how oblivious so many open carriers that I see are. However, I could see carrying a specific setup in your car where you could get to it and also lock it.
Why didn’t think of velcro in amazon! Thanks for the idea.until now I’m struggling for carrying a firearm on my job and I tried everything until i got tired and settled for a drop leg motorcycle bag.and it’s kinda neat coz it goes well with my scrub uniform.the only concern me is the zipper is in the way of a quick access.i told to myself..meh i hide first then draw the firearm😂. I have a lcp2 and it goes on the first pouch exactly fits like a glove.
Hi honey. I want to say how much I love your RUclips videos. Especially from a female's perspective. I am just now purchasing my 1st firearm. I am 61 years old, disabled and live alone with my two dogs. I want to be able to defend myself if I need to. I am so happy to have come across your videos because all the men in my life were telling me I could only shoot a 38. After watching many of your videos, I have decided to purchase the M and P shield plus. I have personally always wanted a semi automatic firearm and you have shown me that I can have what I want. Also, I now know that I can conceal this firearm on my 5'2 115# frame. I have already learned so much from you. It is so kind of you to invite your subscribers into your life the way that you do. So thank you. I will be taking your course in the near future. I do have one question. The shield plus comes with or without the ability to mount optics. Would there be any disadvantage to mounting red dot on this firearm? Thank you again for sharing your knowledge not only just on firearms but also many other topics. God bless!
I love this. Good for you!! Stavs channel has been great for me getting comfortable with my cc and practicing at the range. She is not intimidating and she explains things so well and shows things over and over. So glad her videos help you!
The disadvantage of an optic is that it adds bulk and might make you slower on the draw and follow up shots because it may be harder to find the dot than the sights but everyone is different. I'd try one and see. Mac
I had a female friend that carries her gun in her purse and she was talking about it one day and was asking me to look at it... so she opened her purse to grab it and it took her well over a minute to finally find it. I ended up making a holster for her, so it's always in the same spot and in the same orientation, so she can grab it in under 2 seconds... but I really do wish she would start carrying it on her person (and not her "purse-on" as she likes to say).
One thing also to think about is to have good strong straps. I have seen where straps break. I had an uncle that was a shoe repairman, and he would have to fix expensive bag that didn't have quality straps. Just food for thought.
Thank you so much for this! It completely changed the kind of purse I was going to buy. Maybe dumb question, but how do people adhere the velcro to the inside of the bag? Are they gluing it to the material? Sewing it? Thank you!
Hello! I love your videos! Would you be able to do a video about conceal carry for long skirts and dresses without a slit. I often where long skirts during the summer as it is hot here in the dessert but can’t find any advice about how to carry or draw with this attire. Thank you!!!!!
Check out the old westerns, such as Gunsmoke, in which women in long skirts and full petticoats drew from a thigh holster. They put the holstered leg up on a chair and then access was flamboyant, but easy.
When you purse carry - how/where do you carry a spare mag? There seem to be a lot videos out there about off body pistol carry, but I have never seen anyone address a spare mag.
Hey Stav! I would love to see a video responding to the recent active shooters, both in Buffalo and in Texas. I would love to hear Mac's opinion on what to do in those situations, what he would recommend if you were a parent at the school, how to react to a shooter in a public area like a grocery... There was also a great story of a ccw lady taking out a shooter with an AR at an apartment complex birthday party. She is a hero and I would love to hear your and Mac's take on these stories and what we can learn from them. You two are my favorite shooting instructors and I really appreciate your practical take on things. Thanks!
My wife just recently bought the Ukoala bag and is interested on the velcro holster you have shown. Can you tell me exactly where you got it or send me the link? She also just purchased the same firearm you have. Thanks.
After retirement from a federal law enforcement career I switched from a belt holster to what’s called a “Safe Packer.” I where it with a 1.5” shoulder strap over my left shoulder and it has worked well for me. Many times when I mentioned to someone, including law enforcement, that I was carrying they just didn’t suspect the Safe Packer. Amazing actually. It was originally designed for Mountain Rescue folks to provide quick access and a full protective covering for the sidearm. Whenever I was going into the woods I wore it the same way, but with the addition of a 1” strap around my waist attached to the same dee rings as the shoulder strap. This stabilized the Safe Packer which was beneficial when climbing or general hiking.
What is the style name or number of the koala bag? Also if u are carrying & end up having to go in somewhere that has no guns allowed & u have to leave it in the car, what do u do with it? Put it under the seat? Put it in the console or glovebox? My console or glovebox does not lock.
It's about time something was out there for us women. I have a Bodyguard 380 but would love to carry my S&W revolver. Not quite sure the best way to conceal it. Any ideas?

I would only conceal carry in a bag if its a crossbody bag aka hands free bag
With the thigh bags you have a strap around your waist, and a strap around your leg. Tricker to get than a bag with 1 strap.
Well equipped! Love it.
This video came right on time for me, i have some concealed carry purses but haven't find the one that i love.
I will contact now. Thanks!
Thank you for this information! After watching your video, I looked into the Ukoala bag and just purchased one! I also really appreciate your discount code as well! Thank you.
Which did you buy and what size? How do you like it?
Excellent content in your videos, Stavroula. I have recommended you to all my friends who have or are considering obtaining their CCW. BTW, my daughter just purchased her first firearm, and is starting the process of conceal carry in California. As a result of watching your video, she just purchased the Ukoala. She loves it!!
These are some of the most useful videos I watch. They always make me think about what I do and what's safest for me and others.
I have a Vertx sling bag designed for a quick draw. Many sizes available.
Great Video! Really good info. 👍
God Bless You, Your Husband and Well the Entire Family. 🙏
Really love the Okala bag. Good looking quality and totally secure looking. Thank you for sharing and be safe.
Stav does it again. Great video.
There you are. Another great video. Enjoyed your delivery today.
I absolutely loved my CC bag until my front sights started moving on my kimber micro9. Gotta figure it out because I do love that bag
Great video with great information.....no one way works for everyone
Thank you I’m thinking of getting a CCW but I don’t want to change my whole wardrobe. I was looking into CCW purses but the ones that look like a fanny pack. It goes across the chest. I love he you have options and different styles
Thank you for making this video. It was very helpful!
Hi Stav, you have very nice taste in bags! I really like the Chanel looking black bag.
So excited I order my purse today. Thanks for the discount code too! Ukoala!
thanks your videos are always very important because weapons are a very sensitive topic.you have a high forehead and big and wide eyes, in physiognomy it means that you are a confident person by nature, you have good ability to influence others, the distance between the two eyes is big just because of your wide forehead and this also means high tolerance. you are most likely not interested in the small details, but rather in a broad view or the completeness of things. definitely good manager ... also very nice ... which is good. in my opinion. if you carry the weapon in your bag you run some fundamental dangers: the snatching of the bag, forgetting it somewhere and having to take it out more time and maybe having to distract the gaze from danger even for a few seconds in the involuntary gesture of looking for it ...
That's not stav that's a scam reply
I would like to see a comparison of different carry options and the speed of access for you. My wife is currently shoppig for a handgun for carry. Carrying off-body seems crazy to me but I have never done it any other way. It reminds me of how oblivious so many open carriers that I see are. However, I could see carrying a specific setup in your car where you could get to it and also lock it.
Thanks for the informative video!
Thanks for stopping by, Sue :)
I have a very physical job, and I've been trying figure how to carry best. So far edc bag works best. I need to try a can can ban or corset.
Mac
About the “red dot”….if its dark and you can see the line to the red dot, so can the bad guy. He knows immediately where you are.
Thanks Slav!
ok Stav. I found the link to your e-mail list. I just didn't look hard enough before. I joined now
Always useful information, thank you Stav.
Thank you Stav. I thoroughly enjoy your videos and am always learning. Thank you.
Very well thought out!
Thank you so much. Always a ton of good info. 👏🏻👍🏼
One thing also to think about is to have good strong straps. I have seen where straps break. I had an uncle that was a shoe repairman, and he would have to fix expensive bag that didn't have quality straps. Just food for thought.
Again, the purse snatcher will swing you around and drag you til you give up.
I’m glad you have a lot of views
Some brands are designed for fast draws. And waist bags always stay on ur body.
Past, present, future necklace....Nice!
I always have my hand on my gun when I leave a store, office, etc. Trust no one and leave nothing to chance.
Wicked good points!
HA! At 9:18, that's a handcuff key at the bottom of the carry side of the bag.
Thank you so much for this! It completely changed the kind of purse I was going to buy. Maybe dumb question, but how do people adhere the velcro to the inside of the bag? Are they gluing it to the material? Sewing it? Thank you!
I didnt' see it. That's ok. i'll look to see if it's in another video later.
I'm watching.
Great information! Thanks You!
Hi Stav, love your videos, great info great advice on carrying. Just joined your email list. All the best to you and your family 😀
Good Tips! Thank you for sharing
Look good; thanks for the video.
Maglock system is great as a safety.
good advice,,..
All excellent information and advice. Cool nails too!👍
Great information!
Ladies, off body should be a last resort mode for carry. Criminals will target your purse or bag which results in you giving them a gun. 💡
We need a phone that allows it to shoot 22 mag only when you dial your secret code.
Thanks!
I would love to hear some suggestions for these situations
Can you review the JESSIE & JAMES Double Compartment Multi-Zipper Triple Zip Pockets Concealed Carry Crossbody Bag with Lock and Key
Early! 🙂 Lots of good points. Thanks.
you and your husband do a really great job of how to handle fire arm. I am looking to sign up for you fire arm video. Can you please send me the link.
Any ideas?
Just get a cross body with many compartments. Strapping it to your thigh would be weird. I am a novice though
