So much grief! I cried so much! Deep into the process, I realized I needed to deconstruct my understanding of American history - the whys and hows. 🤯 It's been incredible to just love people without thinking they'd be so much better off if they had the gospel.

Yes! It’s so freeing to see people as there are and love them!

Just stumbled across your channel. Thank you for your words, presence and energy! I’ve been deconstructing Mormonism/systems/all the things for 2 years now. It is tough work. You’re filling a hole I didn’t realize I needed. Im not totally sure what it is, maybe a parental role? An older sibling role? Almost none of my family is validating or understanding of my deconstruction and that is so heartbreaking. Your channel is helping fill some holes. So thanks. It means a lot!

for me it is difficult to have some family members still active and know that it is a big lie.

Yes this is very common among those of us that leave. I’m so sorry!

@@FreschePerspectives The good thing is that I love my family, and our relation is more important than our own believes. They are not interested in what I have found in the church history, but they still treat me very kindly and care for me. that is the most important, I think.

In one of your earlier episodes, both of you indicated your desire to be transparent and vulnerable. However, in the episode about your excommunication, you barely discussed the topic; you just mentioned that you had been excommunicated but did not elaborate on the process that led you to the disciplinary process, how you each experienced the so-called “courts of love,” or any details during your councils.
In another episode, you mentioned, “We don’t need to get into it,” regarding family dynamics, etc. Based on what I have seen so far, I must ask you, what is the purpose of your channel? Details and the “hows” are important because that information can be helpful and therapeutic to anyone in a faith crisis, transitioning out of the church, or facing discipline from the Church.
I encourage you to be more open and provide details, as in other podcasts related to Mormonism and faith crises, such as Mormon Stories, Nemo the Mormon, and others. Thank you.

Thanks for your feedback. What is the purpose of our podcast? It is simply to show that healing and wholeness is possible after leaving religion. I (Marcy) nearly left the planet due to the immense trauma of leaving the church. There is way too much suffering and too many families being divided over this.
We are sharing what we feel comfortable at this stage of the process as we have close family members still active.
We realize it would be ideal to be interviewed and asked questions by someone that is more experienced in podcasting.
We are open to those opportunities.
We are also busy small business owners that are trying to stay afloat in a very trying economy. We just began our channel over a week ago.
      Hope you will stay tuned.
