How did a motorcycle end up in Zelda? - The Story of the Master Cycle Zero

- Tears of the Kingdom looks like it'll feature vehicles in a bigger way than any Zelda before it. But Breath of the Wild did it first: with Link's very own motorcycle. Let's look at the history and lore of this insane Zelda item: the Master Cycle Zero.

The mental image of Aonuma just whispering "the bike...the bike" into the directors ear is fucking hilarious.
The only thing it’s missing is to have his words be glowing blue, and the monk’s dialogue sound plays along with it.
Imagine if each Divine Beast was designed by a secondary race alongside the Sheikah. The Zora, Goron, Rito, and Gerudo people designed the main four but the Master Cycle was designed by the Minish. To them, this thing’s freaking HUGE! But to us, it’s just a motor cycle 🤷🏻♂️😂
I LOVE this theory lol
@@arsalanafroz I like to think it could be true since the Minish were supposed to be in BotW but they got cutout 🤣
That’s such an awesome idea
Zeltik forgot to mention the Master Cycle was huge before being shrunk down and turned into a rune.
The main four are bigger to the Zora, Goron, Rito and Gerudo than the cycle is to the minish
Really makes you appreciate how well the Master Cycle Zero was implemented realizing it was developed after the world was already made, whereas Pokémon Scarlet and Violet developed their similar mechanic alongside the world and it can be extremely janky.
Exactly! It feels like the world was designed for the bike, not the other way around.
It's baffling how a completely optional bike item, that serves as nothing more than a congratulatory item is much more polished than another bike that's supposed to be a game's vital point.
Really speak of the game's quality, huh?
True, it was so janky in Scarlet before you get the high jump there were so many cliffs you could almost climb but you never actually made it
Haha comparing a Pokémon game to Zelda is like comparing canned food to a 3-star restaurant.
@Bloo Berri I think the Xenoblade devs helped with optimization, possibly? Can't say that's 100% true, but they're amazing at switch dev as well.
The idea of aonuma whispering 'the bike, the bike' is so cute to me, he really wanted something modern even in a fantasy game, and they made it work!
There's been several modern things in several Zelda games
Funnily enough in the context of the game it's ancient.
I like to imagine this sounding like the style of Herve Villichaize.
I mean, several Zelda games have had sci-fi elements, with tech that surpasses even our own, even before BOTW.
Look at Skyward Sword. The desert area (past) has intelligent machines, and even pirate androids.
I absolutely love how Aonuma was not only the one to conceptualize the bike, but fought tooth and nail to get it in
my respect for him has grown even more
And mine has massively shrunk. How can the guy in charge of Zelda have such a shit grasp of what Zelda is.
And put a tooth and nail into the bike.
so true
He learned from the best.
Look up how Miyamoto convinced his coworkers to give Mario a flight power-up and a mount.
Are you serious? A motorcycle in a LoZ was an absolutely abhorrent design choice. It has no place in an LoZ game.
3:14 "Din's Drum, Farore's Bass, Nayru's Keyboard, and the Sacred Tri-Caster! His magical abilities make him popular with the ladies!"
This got me laughing for longer than it should have
I still want that game to happen
I mean, my boy most certainly is popular with the fairer sex in BotW: not one, but two princesses, a ninja, and plenty of townsfolk across the land all seem to agree
My favorite little detail about the master cycle zero is it appearing with the other divine beasts in the loading screen, falling behind and trying to catch up ❤
considering the fact TOTK is all about all terrain vehicles, i hope the master cycle becomes a core mechanic. imagine jumping off the sky and then immediately pulling out a motorcycle and driving to the next location!
While that would be cool we saw a good amount of horse riding in the newest trailer
It better does, i want my Motorcycle Back
Starter gear?
@@Zacian2.0 what about Upgrading our Bike?
Considering that was a function of the Sheikah Slate I unfortunately have to doubt this unless it exists via the news switch looking one. Assuming that it is the upgrade to it.
The one-hit obliterator was the best thing about the DLC. It was very nerve-racking for the first time and I loved it.
yeah, it's a very nice challenge for players who are already very familiar with the game mechanics.
I still keep hoping Zeltik will make a video centered on that some day.
Yeah, but I never used - I killed everyone with lynel bow x5 with ancient arrows lol
Oh, english name for that weapon is cool. What do you think about french name "tétralame mort-subite" ("tetra" for "four", "lame" for "blade" and "mort subite" for "instant death") ?
Yeah, I wish that was the reward instead of the bike, really 😅
thank you aonuma for inserting his hobbies into his work 😭 master cycle zero is so fucking cool

Does Link have insurance? He can’t just ride around Hyrule without insurance and a license. What if he hits someone?
plenty of country's do not require insurance at all
The master cycle zero has smart brakes and sensors that stop the bike just before hitting anyone.
Link is a noble in a feudal society, he doesn’t have to worry about such trivialities as the courts are on his side. 😜
_Don't need to worry about insurance when money literally spawns out of grass...._
If bokos had rights link would be sued into oblivion
I have 100% my file. 900 seeds, 120 shrines, etc. I still load it up to zoom around on the motorcycle because its such a blast to ramp off of all the random obstacle
Do you hope that there will be some kind of information transferred from your BotW game file to TotK? For example: You get to keep your horses, your house (and all the weapons and pictures inside), Hetsu's poop that could be used to trade in something in TotK, Terry Town, and maybe your Motorcycle (let's say after you've completed the basic balloon, car, and hovercraft assembly).
@@BigGoronSword this comment has aged VERY well
@@yoyokid3735 thanks, but I still want my bike. Imagine what you could build attaching your bike. I've tried making a horse-powered machine, but no success.
Not to sound like a brat but, I wish there were real rewards for completionists, not just a shiny metal.
@@BigGoronSword after all they removed every sheikah tech from the face of hyrule, but the slate still remains (damn you zelda), probably meaning the rune still exists
@@BigGoronSword we'll just have to wait and find out
I actually had so much fun riding around on the bike and just appreciating the world, admiring how it handled the terrain so well.
A while ago I saw a theory that gave an explanation for why the Master Cycle Zero is so different from the other Divine Beasts- while they were designed to attack Ganon from a distance, it was instead designed to help Link get up close to Ganon so he could attack
The Divine Beast are support so Lonk can ride on in and finish him off.
I wonder if the Master Cycle had weapons what those would look like.
For people who dont see the bike fitting the game, game literallly has giant animal magical tech machines instead of plain turrets, it doesnt have to make sense
Hey Zeltik, great video as usual. Here are two other things to consider:
1. Kit and Krysta, who used to run Nintendo minute, said that the Director of BOTW is himself big on cars, which may have been how Aonuma ended up wearing him down and maybe why there are full-blown cars in this one.
2. In terms of flight mechanics being inspired, Aonuma also said in an interview (with the Guardian, I think?) way before Skyward Sword that his son, in response to seeing trains in Spirit Tracks, asked him if Link would be flying in the sky at some point as well.
The more I hear about Aonuma, the more wholesome he sounds! The fact that he not only wants to pour his passions into the Zelda series, but also the dreams of his children, is absolutely incredible!
Aonuma was interviewed by a Guardian?!? /s
@@broski7792 that definitely doesn't sound worrying :D
@@broski7792 Don't worry, that was before the calamity!
Ah yes, I remember when I discovered that you can explore Typhlo Ruins with the Master Cycle Zero, five minutes ago.
The headlight being an unironically helpful & practical feature is my favourite thing about the bike ngl
I did that on my first playthrough and didn't get why some friends thought it was tricky or even a puzzle, the bike let's you see just fine!
They reminded me that the bike takes a load of time and effort to actually unlock, which I did so long ago I'd totally forgotten you had to do the whole DLC lol
I love the master cycle zero it’s so much fun just speeding across Hyrule. I just wish it wasn’t an end game item as I wish there was more of a reason to use it than just because you can.
Ever since the last DLC came out and I got the bike, I have had multi hour long scenic "roadtrips" in BOTW every couple months. I map out a route, slap on some tunes, and just ride. I've done maybe a couple dozen of these little hyrule fantasy roadtrips and I'll probably keep doing em in TOTK too.
Every time Aonuma is brought up, the man's badass level raises. Is there anything he can't do?
I love that a want of something so crazy like a motorcycle in botw became such a huge inspiration for mechanics in totk. Aonuma is a legend
Man after seeing the concept art for the wolf version, I'm honestly a little bummed we didn't get that, it looked incredible! I mean I love what we ended up with, but still!
Same! lol.
There are still references to it, in a way. In the Age of Calamity DLC, where Zelda gets a weaponize recreation of the bike, there are alternate versions of it designed to work somewhat differently. There’s an attack-focused one designed like a bird & a defense-focused one designed like a donkey. Not quite the original wolf, but fairly close!
Man, I LOVED the MCZ, but I still get peeved to this day that I can't take it in the Gerudo desert and do some sick dune riding! We BETTER be able to take vehicles in the desert in TOTK!
I didn't realize you couldn't take it into the desert. What happens if you try?
@@mbii7667it just doesn’t let you summon it.
Then again, you can use cheats to bypass that restriction
@@mr.kenway4554 interesting. Thanks for the reply.
I’d love to take it out there too, but I wouldn’t be able to get much momentum in the sand
@@mbii7667
It just tells you that you can't and instantly despawns it.
Watching your videos is the best thing to pass time while waiting for TOTK
I don’t know how I haven’t seen anyone mention it yet, but that divine beast puzzle underneath the great plateau explains why it’s in the wrong place on the map…
One of the biggest mysteries in breath of the wild was the placement of the korok forest relative to Death Mountain, and Hyrule castle. The most common theory is that somehow the great plateau swapped places with it… The explanation is that the great plateau is simply an ancient megastructure that was capable of movement, when it was built by the Sheika (hence the engine). I don’t know how that would also move the Korok forest, but it solves the bulk of the mystery, and I haven’t heard a single person talk about it.
A giant engine makes a bunch of sense. I always thought the last divine beast dungeon in the DLC was the master cycles engine and we had to go in and "fix" it. There's lava and ice areas inside, like an engine and cooling system. Plus (if my memory is correct) therea a sort of engine block shape to the central area, with piston like forms on the ceiling.
Should have waited till the end, Zeltik brought up the same thing haha
As much as I like the Master Cycle Zero, I always prefer the horses. They are so beautifully animated and sometimes I just let them run, put down my controller and watch the amazing landscape of Hyrule from horseback ❤
Not to mention the delightful music that is makes its way into the your ears when you ride for long enough, with a version for the day and another for the night
Not to mention horses don't require fuel!
I actually think that the Master Cycle Dungeon does take place *inside* the Master Cycle Zero. Before you aquire the Master Cycle Zero the monk raises it up out of Sheika platform and it is *waaayyy* bigger then it turns into blue energy and teleports to Link's side at a much more ridable size.
How much bigger it actually is a little difficult to say as there is no close up look of it, but even with the forced perspective making it smaller it appears to be as big as the top of a Sheika Tower.
Yes, while the master cycle model seems to not be that big before becoming a rune, I still think we were actually inside it's engines.
It's difficult to say how much bigger it is, if at all, but it's really not difficult to tell that it's much too small to be where the dungeon took place
It’s definitely the same size when it’s first revealed. It does look bigger, but that’s because of the forced perspective of it being propped up as it was.
I genuinely can't believe how high quality your content has gotten!
thank you so much!
@@Zeltik Hi zeltik, great fan !!!
Pls upload more videos regarding tears of the kingdom , those are great and makes me impatient to play the game
btw, great fan dude!!!!
Always have been!
I love aonuma
His dedication to make games more fun and including his hobbies into the game is really cool
Not everyone agrees with technology in Zelda but imo it makes open sand box games a lot more fun.
To me Zelda is a franchise with limitless possibilities and shouldn’t be set in stone by traditional ideas
Very well said
The thing is, Zelda always had technology mixed with the medieval fantasy setting; The first game had robots and proximity traps; A Link to the Past had laser turrets and the hookshot; Ocarina of Time has a jukebox, bombchu and fans; The entirety of Majora's Mask, etc.
The original idea for the original game was to have Link travel between the distant past and distant future, so the idea of tech has always been in the series
I loved the addition of the Master Cycle Zero in BotW. On my master mode run, I even rushed to unlock it as soon as I felt able to, and it is extremely satisfying to run around Hyrule with the bike as Zeltik mentionned. My favourite fuel source for it was a combination of Apples and one bottle of Monster Extract - things that are relatively cheap and abundant to find, and, in a 4-to-1 combination, filled the tank from empty to almost full. I'm surprised that the property of Monster Extract wasn't explained further, though. While its origins and composition is unclear (and subject to interesting theory, as the video showed), the fact it doubles the efficiency of the rest of the ingredients (per bottle) rather than simply add a set value to the tank makes it different from the rest.
I was so underwhelmed when I unlocked this. I mean it's neat but at the same time you've already done everything in the game once you get it lol
it should have transferred to new saves imo
Game should’ve had a NG+ mode for this reason. I stopped playing BOTW simple because I’ve done everything 100%
Exactly I was like cool I got a motorcycle. What should I do next? Oh yea I've completed everything. So I messed around on the Bike for 30 minutes then went to go kill Calamity Ganon THE END!
@@songoku9348 Absolutely i would have loved a new game plus. I think it should include keeping all the hearts and stamina and inventory slots and by extension korok seeds you have collected. I would say it should also transfer any upgrades for armor you had in your og file so when in the NG+ file when you get that armor its maxed already or has the upgrade level from your og file. Also Sheikah Slate upgrades, compendium and runes. Thats just me though.
This is one of my biggest pet peeves within all of gaming. They give you the best stuff when there's literally nothing else to do in the game. Give me the OP stuff in the middle of the game so I have some time and reason to use it.
I mean...there were horses at first. And spinning thing from Twilight Princes. Then boats. Steamboats even. And trains. And this bike. So it was safe to assume that there will be even more vehicles
I feel like I would have liked it more as a hover board, marty mcfly style. Shield surfing is just so fun in BOTW, it’d be awesome to be gliding about on a floating sheikah skateboard
Hope we get motorized sheilds that could both serve as propulsor to be used in combat and as a board when shield surfing xD
i love Aonuma lol he's such a cool guy who genuinely loves these games. he's so charming and interesting to listen to when he appears on announcements or in interviews
The real backstory of the Master Cycle is that it's just so dang awesome that it doesn't even need an explanation. It exists because it must exist.
I recently started replaying botw in anticipation for totk, and decided to make this another no-teleportation run. To compensate, I bum-rushed the divine beasts to get the bike as soon as possible, and finally, there I was: on my bike, 3 stamina wheels, and 7 hearts, and most of the gane still left.
Ps, try out that bike's headlight in the dark forest north of the deku forest. Lol
I seriously hope the master cycle zero appears in TOTK. I mean seriously, you unlock it after you’ve done literally everything in hyrule, so it’s not like I use it very often even though it is still very fun. Although there are other vehicles in TOTK, I don’t think any of them seem nearly as cool as the master cycle so I really hope it’s still usable
Imagine (this is if you played on switch) you keep all your items and shrines and stuff when you start in TOTK.. Or even wake up in your house in hateno village if you had it unlocked
@@purploid that would be incredible
The image of Mr. Aonuma intentionally muttering "the bike" over and over within earshot of the game's director will likely always me laugh.
I mean we did have steamboats and trains in the DS games and submarines in Wind waker soooooo I wouldn't say vehicles are that weird of a concept to the Zelda franchise lol
Exactly
Shiekah tech is just the ability to convert matter to energy and energy to matter. That's how you teleport, that's how you can summon bombs and motorcylces out of thin air, that's how you can carry so many items, that's how ancient arrows can delete enemies out of existence, and why any item can be used for fuel. It's just converting matter into energy, storing it, and then restoring it to its material form.
I love the new thumbnail format. It's eye catching and iconic!
This is exactly the sort of well produced, non-spoiler, yet still partially tied to Tears of the Kingdom content I need leading up to release.
Absolute respect to each of your videos. Great job man
When you talked about the Sheika making Link into "the ultimate weapon against ganon" it made me think about how interesting that could be as a storyline/plot point. Imagine Link finding out that his entire life, all of his experiences and trials were all to turn him into a weapon. A killing machine.
"vehicle are a direction that nobody expected"
The Legend of Zelda : Spirit Tracks
love your vids Zeltik, keep it up!
The segmented look of the vehicles in Tears of the Kingdom has me wondering...
Are we working with fixed blueprints by Tears of the Kingdom, or will it be like the gummi ships in Kingdom Hearts where it can *look* like anything as long as it still has the required parts to make it move?
Yeah, I hope they let us make prettier vehicles, the ones in the trailer are super ugly.
@@Mari_Izu That's not what they were asking though.
ayo columbus circle in the first minute im already so immersed and invested
Dang that sand sea music it plays when in skippers house is so beautiful. It feels nostalgic and reminiscent
I hope it comes back in totk but not at the absolute end of the game 😭
Honestly I still can’t wrap my head around a motorbike in Zelda
i mean, they had trains and boats, so its not that much of a stretch.
boats are ancient bro. not the same as a bike lmfao.
@@Skillfullfilms89 boats are normal. Trains are a little goofy in Zelda but ST is goofy by design so it never felt weird.
A motorbike in a mainline Zelda is on another level
I always wonder why people get weirded out by a bike in a game where the dungeons were four giant robots you can operate with a tablet xD
they had teleportation device, huge mechanical beasts, a camera, i think its not really immersion breaking to have motorcycles.
Having a whole motorcycle as your divine beast must be the biggest flex
This is phenomenal content. Great work, man! Really looking forward to everything ToTK related that you'll inevitably publish when we all get our hands on the game. 🤙
Something i noticed the other day is that before being added as a rune, the mastercycle is much bigger than when you actually use it
While objects tend to change size when wielded by an enemy, i think this one is a different case and could potentially mean the mastercycle can actually change size and become far bigger
I don't think so.
@@tumultuousv i mean, right before that you fight a monk that can change size
@@mebisanimationsandotherstu8977 yeah but the bike is links divine beasts. Can the other divine beasts shrink?
Also in Age of Calamity, Purah and Robbie discovered records of the Master Cycle Zero, and built replicas for Zelda because she was so fascinated by it. Considering the circumstances in BotW and TotK, mainly Zelda trying to rebuild her kingdom and Purah and Robbie lacking resources and funding, it’s unlikely she has a replica of the Master Cycle on her new slate.
I love the amount of deliberation that went into both the development of the bike and this video!
I loved the bike! It's hilarious and a lot of fun. The only 'bad' thing it is, is how late you get it - it's more an optional gimmik you can use to cruise around, where it would be great as a mid-game reward for doing some hard side quest. With TotK right around the corner, I love how Zelda evolves!!
As fun as the master cycle is, vehicles is a really weird direction for the series to take...i really hope the vehicles in Tears are optional and not a prime focus of the game.
Vehicles have been in Zelda games for a while
You wouldn't download a motorcycle
?
I wouldn't mind a game with the modern biker Link.
loved the options in movement with the master cycle i am looking forward for the new amazing possibilities of movement in totk.
The Master Cycle is my least favorite thing to ever happen in a Zelda game ..but since you're the one making the video, Ill give it a watch regardless! :)
Y tho
@@DEATHDRAG0 I don't hate it. But, not a huge fan either because it pulls me out of the game. A bit in the same way Ed Sheeran did with his cameo in Game Of Thrones.
I mean that's fair. Once you get it you pretty much beat the whole game though so it's cool to get something to just mess around with
Honestly I've always hated when fantasy genre series start adding scifi/tech. BOTW only reinforced that.
your production value for these vids is amazing!
Oh my lord that concept art is so... It's almost surreal seeing this thing.
Theory: That was the ancient hero from 10,000 years go.
Just imagine Ganon being like:
I fear no man, but that... Thing....
*Looks at derpy link shredding out music on the tri-caster while running over his minions with the bike and commiting several crimes while doing so*
*Shudders*
It scares me...
I'm sorry but a motorcycle in a LoZ game is beyond stupid as all get out. It has NO PLACE in a LoZ game. Cringe.
This is the same game where you travel inside a giant robot camel to get it to shoot Ganon with a laser beam
@@Zeltik which was also stupid af. The entire game was just bad and not at all a good direction for LoZ to move in.
@@CertifiedClapaholic that's fair, you're entitled to your opinion. I actually completely agree with you in that I prefer Zelda to be traditional swords and sorcery fantasy, but technology has been a part of the Zelda series for years- trains in ST, ancient robots in SS, great bay temple in MM, mazaal in TMC, tower of the gods in TWW, city in the sky and temple of time in TP, etc. so it's nothing new, BotW just stepped it up.
@@CertifiedClapaholiccan you elaborate? I’m a little confused on why it’s not a good direction
@@jefferblue8617 they turned it into a grind. The shrines were bland and there were waaaay too many of them. The 4 beast dungeons were unremarkable in any way and hard to distinguish from one another. The breaking weapons and the absolute GRIND that you have to go through just to get the Master Sword was straight up insulting. And to make matters worse, the shit STILL BREAKS. The towers and sense of freedom the game gives you is compromised by the fact that the discovery of new areas is a fruitless endeavor. The items you find feel like a general waste of time. The Blood Moons were beyond frustrating.
None of these features were ever a part of past LoZ games and they should have never been introduced to the series. They literally made a Ubisoft/Skyrim clone with LoZ skins instead of just making a LoZ game.
i personally believe the reason you could use anything to fuel the bike is because the hero may have to travel across the world of hyrule to fight ganon.
and the reason link doesn’t have a giant divine beast is because the divine beasts and the other shiekah technologies purpose is to distract calamity ganon so the hero could get up and personal to Ganon
I rarely even use the ancient horse armor now because of the master cycle zero. Amazing bike and I'm so thankful we have it. I hope we'll still get to use it in TotK!
Unlocking the master cycle was really fun
Just imagine you're riding one of those air balloons and suddenly run into Tingle randomly floating in the sky with a balloon...
Gotta love that motorcycle story though, it's funny how persistent Mr. Aonuma was lol
If I run into tingle...I will blast him out of the air
I remember doing the Champions Ballad before I defeated Ganon. And my God it felt SO AWESOME to ride up on the castle at full speed on a motorcycle. Fully clad in Barbarian armor as I tore through each and every Guardian that dared to look at me the wrong way. It was truly cathartic.
Funny I remember a rumor several years back about Nintendo throwing around the idea of a Zelda game set in a futuristic Hyrule. The main mode of transportation was to be a motorcycle.
Amazing video Zel, Loving the content
The one thing I desperately miss from BOTW
1:50 seems.. quite.... tame... perfectly in sync with the music, i love it!
I just love how you referred to it as “Aonuma’s bike”.
My friend and I used to do "master cycle races" where we'd set a start and end point across different parts of Hyrule. From small distances like the Plateau to the Castle all the way to from the Gerudo Highlands to the Hebra Peak. Good times
Awesome video, very cool and interesting topic!
I'm currently replaying BotW in anticipation of TotK, and I tackled the Divine Beasts before bothering with the 'optional' areas (Akkala, Faron etc) specifically to get the bike quickly. It is so goddamn fun to zoom around on that thing, I am so glad that Aonuma managed to add it in.
11:40 for most people yes, but i wanted those 900 koroks and the master cycle was damn useful 😂
Funny, when I first saw the art with the motorcycle, I thought, why not just add it with a sheika design. Low and behold it happened.
Amazing video I enjoyed it I have recently been analyzing how the cave section of the opening would go specially with all the new footage that we have of it
So what I think is going to happen in the beginning, so don’t like adventure in the cave, drink some water and eventually try to cross the bridge with her animal, but it doesn’t wanna go over so Lincolns forced jump over the gap and Zelda and link continue eventually finding a temple. They enter the temple and explore Zelda taking pictures of all the ruins in ancient scripture Eventually, they would go down a staircase, and see Gannon Dorf Zelda would go up to him and take a look or we would say he twitches. She would eventually go back to link and hand him the torch so he can finish off Gannon Dorf before he can, Gannon, Dorf, anger makes his malice a lot stronger, his malice, eventually attacks a rat on the stairwell where Zelda and link see then they turn around to see the chest has a bunch of malice forcing the hand off Gannon Dorf now free looks at Zelda and link and causes the part that Zelda is standing on to collapse. It collapses a little bit, but not fully set a tries to climb up, and Link tries to reach his hand out for but before he can help her cannot work for Taksim he tries to use the master sword to repel the malice away, but get his arm burned and the master short destroyed. He’s eventually forced to jump to save Zelda and she falls, but the hand saves Link and uses the rewind ability to heal him which also fixes his outfit. Can I drop size unlit so he can try to move his body with a platform beneath them starts to move, can you do it looks up into it the air and his eyes burn bright with malice again now free he eventually talks to link a little bit and then tries to kill him but the hand in desperate need fuses with links, burned arm and teleports them to a sky island as Gannon Dorf lifts up his hands where malice would lift up the castle link eventually wakes up they destroyed sky building, and eventually has the choice to choose to put on ancient armor, or to keep his armor. He had back in the cave, or he would jump down, making it to the tutorial island wall Zelda, she would fall landing on mushrooms having to do first the cave with malice, infected monsters this is how I think the game will begin
@@blakelandry9313 sooo... the trailers, yeah?
I've been avoiding all Tears of the Kingdom theory videos with gritted teeth, knowing that I'd love them but that they'd eventually strike upon the game's actual story and accidentally spoil it just by guessing correctly. It's really nice to see you put out a video that only speculates based on something that the trailers *didn't* explictly show us.

Something that I've noticed about the vehicle since that is a very good experience to try out while I was doing laundry and kazooie nuts and bolts in was the greatest thing that ever happened to that game because / 1000 hours just like looking designing and constructing and building a lot of the different types of vehicles that I was able to imagine at my

I remember the first clip i saw of this and how blown away i was at the detail of this user made mod. But nope. Legit content.
"programmers went out to buy their own motorbike to get a feeling for how it handled"
you absolutely love to see it
instead of just *assuming*, they actually decided to figure out how it *felt* so they could translate that into the game
Imagine throwing fairies into your bike for fuel. That's dark.
That is quite cool! I always thought it was the first thing they added with the dlc! Pretty neat!
I have mad respect for Aonuma for pushing the Master Cycle Zero for BotW and I am excited to create my own vehicles in TotK. Thank you Aonuma, without you we would have no idea where the Zelda series would be.
I really enjoy this evolution of Zelda having an open world and soon vehicles you build and drive!
Man-that wolf bike design was so awesome. Kinda wish they went with that.
thank you aonuma for my fave way to ride around hyrule
Excellent video Zeltik.
3:10 This is why I love lore channels. I think I saw those images in either an issue of EGM, or on dial-up internet on some Geocities or Angelfire web ring.
In another dimension, Nintendo made Guitar Hero starring The Hero of Rhyme in “the Hero is Fkn Sick” timeline branch.
With master bike zero is a really useful way without having monsters kill the house and travel way all across a Hyrule but neither of gerudo desert and death mountain but still really fun to ride with it. Keep up the good work Zeltik.
One thing I loved about OoT and Majora's Mask was riding Epona as I love horses. I imagine if I were to play Breath of the Wild of course I'd love that angle. A motorcycle is a horse with an engine which is one reason I love them. So the Mastercycle seems perfect to me. I do admit that the wolf design would have been totally rad, but the horse makes the most sense. Epona has been part of Link in every game she's in. He's a knight after all. And what is a knight without his charger.
I like to think that each of the Champ's divine beasts were based on traditional symbols of power and Link's might have been a wolf or something similar but since his memory was erased and he was a clean slate, he probably desired a fast machine and since the fastest thing he knew were horses, he probably though a mechanical horse and bam, horse bike.
Horses symbolizes knights tho, which fits Link.
The Master Cycle Zero was made thousands of years ago, so Link's memory has nothing to do with it's appearence.
That would be some interesting tech but no it's been built a certain way
That was absolutely the most awesome rock flute I've ever heard!!!!! (it's also the only one but that's besides the point)
The idea with the monster extract being a concentrated form of malice, there's an npc that gives you monster extract after you save it and says that it makes any food taste really good. Maybe consuming monster extract is the ceremony of becoming a Yiga.
