Great illusion! Watched nearly ten times before I cottoned on. Middle box drags the whole pencil into areas in the upper and lower boxes hidden from view. Middle section of the whole pencil still visible in its window, meanwhile, the upper and lower (now hidden) parts of the original pencil have dragged along trays containing the pencil fragments into view. Would love to see more details of the construction!

The tip reveals two different pens. Watch closely. Easy to detect!
