- Introducing the first Hero Challenge of 2021 - a Hole-in-one special, starring Ian Poulter and Tyrrell Hatton.
The chances of a Tour pro making a hole-in-one are roughly 2,500/1. Could they defy the odds to find that one perfect shot? A 141-yard par three at The Renaissance Club awaits.

My friend made his first hole in one yesterday when we played a tournament I played with an other group on the hole next to it and it literally slam dunked the hole and I saw them running down like chickens to the hole :)

I would have loved to see an aerial view of the green with where all the balls wound up.
and then a path where all the balls withing 10 feet rolled past.

I had a hole in one in 2019. I am not a good golfer. My older brother is a good golfer but never had one. He said "YOU got a hole in one?" I said yup. He asked again. I said Yup 😂😂😝..loved it!

Many years ago I spent a lot of time at a local range trying to qualify for a million dollar hole-in-one challenge. For two weeks I went down there about 3 or 4 nights each week and hit for about an hour. I came SOOOOO close about 30 times but never sunk a ball. It was fun though!

A hole-in-one still requires a decent amount of luck. I play once a week, and during a lucky streak starting in Jun 2010 I had three hole's in one in 15 months. It's a stunning streak where during the 60 rounds played only 220 holes were par-3 (one course had only 3 par 3's, the other courses had 4 par 3's). I had an unreal feeling of confidence as I stepped up to a par 3 tee box knowing that I was hitting an ace 1.4% of the time. I should have been buying lottery tickets during that time.
You have to be a damn good player to keep getting "that" close though and from there yes of course that tad of luck.......it's crazy that you can on one hand play the perfect shot and the ball stops within an inch, or(as i've seen)see someone pull their tee shot miles left, hit a tree, come over a bunker and trickle softly into the cup....the madness of golf eh :)

I've pondered for years if I had unlimited access to a Par 3, how many actual shots it would take me to get an ace.
In my mind I see myself starting at 7am and flood lights are turned on at night so I can keep trying. I feel it would take me roughly 1000 shots and maybe, just maybe, I'd get one. I'm a complete amateur and haven't played in over a decade but I still think about this every year haha

100 shots, I am sure there would have been an INSANE amount of birdies had they had putted all those out.
Would love to see a 100 shot attempt with a well known pro against an absolute hacker. After watching a number of these attempts, I think the odds may be almost even. It shows how hard hitting an hole-in-one really is.

If you ever want the equivalent as an amateur then go to the range pick something that is roughly 125m/140yd away and depending on your ability then an achievable but very difficult target. I use a rock that is 120m away at my range the top is about 1m by 1m nearly square. I get 50 balls and try to land on the top of it. I feel their pain as there has been many occasions I have left he range and not managed it, it's heartbreaking, however the days when you get it....... Priceless!!!!

I would argue that's it's the attitude between these two. It's an exhibition, have fun the whole time regardless of the outcome. Bad vibes mess you up too much

Ty Hatton is someone I’d absolutely put in to the group when asked, “What’s your dream foursome?”. I’d want Poults in the group behind us, heckling the entire time.
I would love to see all shots left were they stop. Seeing the reactions of the golfers when the balls bouncing off each other would be great.
