My husband would go crazy if given the opportunity to go clean out or rummage through all that vintage stuff. That’s right up our alley! Neat stuff, I especially love the brass candle holders. They’re beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
So I never tried this but was told that you can use white vinegar and salt to clean brass also. I love your videos and your sense of humor is hysterical!
There used to be a store here called The Big Red Flea, a giant building that was falling down, full of treasure. I bought a fortune in old Pyrex in there for 3 or 4 dollars a piece. It closed after the covid debacle, I miss it. The thrift stores are okay but real treasures are few and far between. I miss digging through that flea market!
The green pieces are uranium glass, and very collectible. Invest in a little UV flashlight black light, and you will see that the glass has a beautiful glow, especially if you do it in the dark. I have the California wheat pieces from California pottery, which should have four pieces like the one you showed, with a bowl & lid that goes in the center of the four pieces, and a ladle for the bowl. I have been collecting antiques, furniture, pottery, jewelry, etc. for about three decades so there is very little I come across that I haven’t seen. Everything has potential if you really love the hunt, and know how to clean, up cycle, or repair things. My favorite are the two brass candlesticks….bravo to your husband… he knew exactly how to clean those, and most people don’t know the proper method to maintain them🥰.
You must be reading my mind because I just purchased a black light flashlight on Amazon! I bet you have some truly beautiful things after 3 decades! It's such a fun hobby!

Hello. It's been my pleasure to find you a couple of days ago. Since you asked, I think the print is very evocative and much preferred to the frame.
I really appreciate the feedback! I agree with you.

I bet! That must have been amazing! It seems like there are too few places around here that are like that now.

Hi Kris great haul! If the people you got that stuff from are open to more people picking out things let me know!
Will do! These things don't come up very often, but when they do, we jump!
Nice haul! The green items seemed to glow…are they uranium glass?
That's my suspicion. I just ordered a black light flashlight so I can look into it.
