Hello Mam, I need your help in understanding the EPS contribution. Actually, beginning of September 1, 2014, if any member joins the origination with EPF pay above 15,000/-, the employer's whole contribution will go to the EPF account exclusively and not to the EPS. However, I have one situation where a member joined A company on October 13 and contributed EPF & EPS dues because his EPF salary were less than 15,000/- and then left the company on March 21 and withdrawn his full EPF and full EPS lumpsum amount. Later, now, he freshly/recently joined new B company on Nov 23 with EPF salaries exceeding 15,000/- so will be he eligible to become a pension member or not, i mean all employer contribution will go in EPF account only and not to EPS account right. Please provide your useful guidance.
I have a series of questions/doubts: 1)Can EPS and EPF nominees be different? 2) like we can check the EPF balance, can we also check the EPS balance. Is EPS a different countribution from the employer other than the percentage contribution made to EPF? 3) In case a person is no more, how will the EPS be distributed to the nominee? Is it same like that of a monthly fixed pension amount for a designated period?
Completely wrong. If your organisation is exempted from epf (means they have their own private trust to save pf money) then the employee can have two different member ids. One for pf which is managed by private trust (not epfo). One for eps which is maintained by epfo.
I have withdrawn all amount of EPF and EPS from my previous MID for higher education. After 2.5 years I will join recently to a new job with wages 25000/- which is more than 15000/-. But it is not clear to me whether I have lost my EPS membership or not because I have withdrawn all amount of EPS earlier. Please reply in detail. Thanks and Regards.
