I don't know exactly. But from when I bought mind and then contacted them, I'd think the end of 2022. I would assume the other models got updated as well, but im not sure
@@sidesaladaudioI bought 99 Neos recently (a semi-blind impulse purchase) and they seem to be pretty balanced, especially compared to what people were saying about the early revisions (with that said I’m not willing to disassemble them just yet to see if that’s the silent revision or just an inherent characteristic of the Neos). I also thought the Classics seemed a bit overpriced hence why I went with the Neos since they seem to be functionally almost identical yet the Neos were £80 less.
I’ve purchased the meze 99 classics over 3 years ago and just recently noticed that the rubber pivot joint is coming loose! Can that rubber joint be permanently taken off without damaging the rotation of the headphone or does the rubber gasket need to be replaced! I saw a video where it can be tightened from behind with a special screwdriver!
@@mehmetgurdal it’s still quite jittery but it makes sense as there’s probably more air and other frequencies/waves between the drivers and mic which requires more smoothing. Channel matching is also tougher.
@@mehmetgurdal also potentially due to the larger driver pushing and creating much louder frequencies, reflecting in the cup and fake ear. Like a good iem only has jitter and peaks near the treble area while headphones with the same amount of smoothing has quite a bit of jitter.
How many years later and they're still overhyped trash. If I wanted to listen to muddy music with no clarity, I'd stick my head under water and put a live speaker in it. Which would probably kill me, but it would still be better than spending $300 on a pair of these
People like you really need to come to terms with the fact not everyone wants the same thing out of headphones. Also not everyone hears headphones the same. Mezes don't sound muddy to me they sound warm and punchy. They're not suited to all kinds of music, just like many other pairs of headphones. When I listen to music to calls for more analytical sound I use sundaras or kph40s. Stop enforcing the stereotype of all audiophiles being closed minded, unimaginative pricks.
I'm going to save my money for these headphones
after some autoeq testing I think it sounds like classy commuting version of DT770
Did they say when they re-worked the internals? Do the Drop 99 Noirs, which were released after the Classics, (June 2023?), have this silent revision?

Am i the only person that cant find this dank pod video everyone talks about ?
The graph looks even more wonky than the original 99 classic.
Headphones always produce the ugliest looking squiggly lines.
Only the crappy ones.
Sennheiser hd560s, 600, 800s etc has a great sqline
