Reliance launches Jio Glass. The smart glasses weigh just 75 grams. In order to access content on the device, the company will provide a simple cable that can be attached to the smartphone in order to access different use case scenarios. It supports all audio formats and it already supports a total of 25 apps, one of them being JioMeet that was launched recently as an answer to Zoom. No word on when Jio Platforms plans to make this available to consumers and what it would cost.

(Reliance bought a majority stake in AR / VR / MR / XR startup Tesseract and previously offered a re-branded Tesseract Holoboard mixed reality HMD with the Jio Holoboard that connects to the Jio set-top box)
Recently Facebook, Qualcomm, and Google invested in Jio Platforms.
Can public develop apps and software for this platform?
I'm pretty sure this will be the case. mobile app developers should start transitioning very fast to this immersive tech

Its good to be critical, but we need to be pragmatic. Hardware is very tough and they;ve done a great job,
Apple is going to take this market by storm. Reason is, they have the marketshare and power of the iPhone to power the AR glasses. It will be a "game changer"... 2022 will be amazing!
Jio's products will be more affordable and they are working together with Google. Apple won't be for the masses in India.

the avatar doesn't see the room it is displayed in.... it sees the digital objects u both can interact with
this sort of thing has been possible since 2016 when the first hololens was released by Microsoft

Tesseract has been working on this for quite some time. I had see the early prototypes of this before in a presentation of theirs before... But didn't knew Jio will invest on them.. a good way towards future in Indiana if these headsets are made here in house

Wtf you want, this is for helping people to ease the connectivity and understandability of things. Atleast we have to use and motivate these things in our country this would lead to more technical innovation.
