This is such a great video! We will be going this summer and this was super informative. Just fyi, Christmas in Mexico lasts until January 6th, for Dia de Reyes 😊
Great video, thank you. Few questions, how many dining reservations are you allowed to have for 7 nights? and can they be between all four resorts if staying at the Tropical? Also how was the weather and beach there that first week of January? Thanks in advance! :)
The beach and weather is going to be great in January, although, because you are in the tropics, it absolutely can rain so just be prepared for that! You are allowed to make as many dining reservations, as you would like that you can chat with the hotel about the best places on property, there are great locations at each of the hotels! Staying at the tropical, I believe the only places you are not allowed to make reservations at our Palace and the adults only hotels, but I would double check with the hotel on that one
Excellent video. Thank you! I was under the impression that as a guest of the colonial, the only pools I don't have access to is at the adults only resort. Will I be able to swim at the Palace resort and the four in the middle or just the four in the middle?
You can only swim in the four in the middle (technically). I’ve found that enforcement for traveling to the different hotels was VERY minimal. The pool areas are too close for them to check (at least for the palace). If you are trying to get into the adults only, you might be able to, walking along the beach.
If I stay in one of the 4 sisters hotels (colonial, tropical, beach or Caribe) can I dine at any a la cart restaurant located in these 4 hotels? Thanks
Yes, you can! I believe the only two that you are not allowed to go to are the adults only and palace deluxe, but I would double check with the hotel because things might be different based on your reservation type
Going in two days. How is the wifi? Heard it is decent in the rooms but spotty outside. Also how early do you need to be to get a lounge chair on the beach? Can you leave a towel and come back later?
I would agree with that first statement. I was on cellular for the trip which worked well as well. You can leave stuff and come back later. I tried to do that before 8 am every day.
@@jslandstudios When you stay at the Tropical which properties can you use ? Same with the Maya. Which ones can you use. Thank you for this information

I agree with you! And, from what I’ve heard, the Dolphins at the Barcelona properties are treated horribly. While they are absolutely beautiful to watch, I would be aware of how small their living spaces are when taking Family, just to properly educate them.
Awesome video, simple!

Thanks for the update! I have been going there all of these years, and I’ve never known that!

Are the specialty restaurants included?
All of the restaurants are included, except for certain alcohol items, and the restaurants in the on-site mall.
Hello. Would you stay at the Maya beach or the tropical if you had to choose
Out of the two of those options, I have only stayed at the tropical before and very much enjoyed my experience.
@@jslandstudios thank you. Can you use everything at the Maya ? Do you know ?

Why in this day and age are there dolphins in captivity?
