It's hard to find a channel/"youtuber" with the level of integrity and personable, caring, approach to their channel. Hunter obviously looks at his viewers as individuals and i think we all feel like he cares about us and our support. A quality person for sure!
I truly appreciate that! I make sure to respond to almost all the comments or at least leave a heart so folks know that they are being seen and appreciated. At the end of the day, without YOU guys, none of this would be happening. Odi and I appreciate it.
Thank you Tony! I know the impact of the noise cancelling headphones and listening - it’s what I use to edit and it gives the videos a totally different immersive experience! Cheers my friend 🙌🏽
I always live vicariously through your videos. I’m in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and I want you to know there’s someone here dreaming of the day they can experience camping like you do. Keep inspiring us
Thank you so much! Truly means a lot to have people all over the country and world chiming in for these uploads. I love to hear to hear that these are also an inspiration. Cheers!
As someone who has grown up in FL and never seen or experienced snow in person, seeing something like this feels so surreal. I hope I get to enjoy scenery like this one day 🥹
Wow! Seeing this after never seeing anything like this would be a wild first experience for sure. Glad you can experience it some what through the screen. Cheers!
Fantastic vlog Hunter and Odi. The scenery as always in next level. Enjoy the serenity and the meal. Thanks for answering the question that I submitted. Be well and stay safe. Puck 🙏
@ usually not too bad as it’s northern MT, but we came with 12 rigs and hung out on the shore and had a blast with kids and dogs playing around. From there we went to Polebridge and just north right on the Flathead River by Glacier NP. That is an amazing area as well in summer
@ so on the mountain side, 3/4 of the way around is the deepest point at about 80’ or so. In the summer an older man floats out there and fishes for hours, not sure what he catches though.
I will have to make my way down South further than I was expecting maybe this Spring haha! I might need an escape from the Montana winter for a bit for sure and some different terrain in New Mexico sounds good!
Bears hibernate during the winter. Wolves and cats is what people need to be in the look out for. Also we think first order of business when you get to your next location is to set up the chair for Odie so that he can be closer and comfy while you set up😅
Surprisingly, some folks still saw a few bear tracks in the snow while out getting a Christmas tree a week or so ago. Odi is an exploring machine in the first hour or so until he wears himself from all the back and forth running haha 🙌🏽
@@hunter_pauley yes I meant after he does his runnin around of course. I ve heard on rare occasions bears wake up but they return to their dens. I will investigate...👊
Funny enough, he like refuses to lay on anything but knows when I have the double camp chair out, he likes to crawl up on there sometimes. He stands out in the rain too sometimes.
Wow... another absolutely gorgeous setting even though its freaking cold lol I even felt the cold all the way down here in Phoenix ha but that state is one of the most beautiful of all.... no wonder my grandson loves it so much :) You bring to life the wonders of Montana for us and I thank you Hunter and of course Odi too..again keep them coming :).
Thank you for joining in again on this upload Sherry! It was a chilly evening but the winter/colder months are just getting started that's for sure! Odi and I appreciate the support!
What a find! A stunning spot. When you were sitting by the fire answering questions on predators, I admit that I was scanning the background... While hiking in California's Big Sur I saw mountain lion signs so I was on hyper-alert. Unsure how I'd deal with that. I'm only experienced with crazy African wildlife that can eat or kill you. Or both. Mud Island wildlife doesn't eat you. A spooked badger accidentally headbutted my shin on an evening run when I cut through a wood and that made my eyes water. He must've had a headache for a while. If you haven't already, read Bill Bryson's "A Walk in the Woods". His bit about bears had me gasping for air with hysterical laughter in public. A tad embarrassing. LOL. Anyway! The quality and content of your videos are on another level. Your American Tourism board (or whatever it is over there) should be signing you up to produce material for them. Honestly, as a "tourist" it makes me want to jump on a plane.
Great video as always. I really enjoy your content. I know these videos take a long time to create. One of these days we need to meet up in the Sealy Swan Valley somewhere and go for a winter camp out.
Thanks for the support on this upload! They do take a lot of time from planning, shooting, and then post production of putting everything together. I need to organize a "Rigs & Coffee" this summer as well. I think it would be a great way to get everyone together in one spot as well!
I'd say you at Upper Stillwater lake. Just outside of Whitefish Montana. Been there! Train goes right by the east side of that lake. Hope it doesn't disturb your sleep!
It's pretty darn close! I have camped quite a few times on Upper and the train goes right there. With the slight drone of the diesel heater, it helps knock some of that noise out.
Hey man glad to see you again. This was an awesome video. The shots and the drone pics were awesome. I’m a soup person even though I’m from way down in south Louisiana. That would be good dumb weather lol. The Q/A was also great. Looking forward to the next one and as always safe travels
Getting a little burned out on drone footage across all of these overland channels, but I have to say the first couple of shots that you opened the video with were great. Nice work. Looking forward to the video that comes out of your trips to the San Juan area.
I try to keep it balanced but not too much. I do see alot of channels rely heavily on drone shots to get a market of their shots - less walking and camera set up haha! Cheers and thanks for the support.
I know the area you’re in. You didn’t mention it so I won’t either. Great spot. Up the road about 3 miles there’s another great spot quite a ways back there. Kalispell hardly has any snow right now and I’m bummed because I would like a white Christmas this year. Thanks for the inspiration.
@@pampenner9116 it’s a lovely spot and one that is busy in the summer I bet! I have others marked and saved that I want to get up and visit. A lot more snow up that direction than in town for sure!
