Nice review, looks alright actually for an overnight camp in a tarp shelter. The only thing I might change would be to mount the sleeping bag to the front molle webbing using some clip on molle buckles, that would leave a lot of room inside for more food or potentially some warm clothes. Otherwise this was actually the review I had been waiting for, very clean and informative, great job!
That is a great little bag. You gotta use the Molle straps. They will give you upto another half a bag of stuff. Great video gave me some idea's 👍👍 thanks
Agreed about the bug net in Australia!! Northern hemisphere bushcrafters sleep in the open yet they are not dealing with the excessive insects and reptiles Australia has. Woke up with a 15cm centipede crawling on me last night in my tent ⛺️
Great list! Thanks. I use a synthetic baby washcloth at home. With your soap it could be a substitute for wipes. Melt a hole in the corner or sew a loop on and attach to outside of pack to dry?
It's a nice little "day pack bag." But if you're going to camp overnight or longer, you'll either need a bigger bag, or.. figure out a way to molly on some extra bags on the little one there. Because as much survival / camp gear that you have in the little bag, you don't seem to have any room for clothes. I have a suggestion for a pillow. - Use a small "stuff sack" and stuff it with your softer clean clothes, or a puffy coat at night. The next morning your clothes will be warmish when you go to put them on. And stuff sacks are easy to stuff in nooks and crannies of gear bags, and don't weigh anything really.
That is one nice looking knife, I wish I had gotten one that could release sparks… might have to wait a few years before I can get upgrade now 😅 I’ll have to stick with my morakniv one for now 🥢🥢
Good video, I have been debating the Ranger 25L or the Trek 32L (both Caribee). What’s your plan for water? I’ve seen these are hydration pack compatible, are you going that way? Cheers 👍
For water, I’m not a water bladder kinda gal, I’m more of a two bottles in each water bottle side pocket kinda gal. I tried water bladders back in the day, but found it a bit difficult to use the water (in the bladder) for other things aka cooking my lovely soup, milo, washing up etc etc… hence why this wouldn’t exactly be my first choice for an overnighter, unless I was guaranteed to be near a river 👩🍳

Great Practical Review 🙏🏻
Wow that actually fit quite a lot. Can we get a review of the drum bag??

Thanks for sharing
This bag have any room for chargers?
Wear combats, military or civi, top or bottoms or both big pockets, could fit a lot of that gear on person save a bit of space in your 25l .
Comprehensive kit for 25L. Nice work. Did you leave out mention of a knife because you wear it on your belt so it doesn’t go in the pack?
Never mind, you already clarified this in comments below. I’ll leave my comment up for the algorithm though.
How about a knife to split wood and perhaps even make feather sticks with. Fallkniven F1? Full tang, flat spine to spark ferro rods...

Where did you get the jacket/ sweater from that you are wearing?
Looks pretty warm :)
Patagonia fleece jacket, very very warm

The trek is like double the price for a little bit more storage…
@@iminyourmailbox6700 I went for the Trek32. Nowhere near double, $79 for the 32l and $59 for the 25l. Check Anaconda
@@bug276 Huh. I guess I’ll go for the trek. Thanks.
@@bug276 oh shit I just realised you were talking about the trek 32 not the combat 32
What's the lamp's brand? 🤔
No knife at all? 🤔
Lamp is Luci outdoor 2.0
Knife is inside that little maxpedition pouch 🥒🌽
@@rusticcharnanigan ic. Thanks.
Hey there, just wondering about the size of the gomboy? Do you use it much?
It’s 240mm and we absolutely love it, we bring it camping and my dad uses it in the backyard for some pretty thick branches
Is there a hard back protection for a laptop?
Nope it’s pretty flimsy back there, there is a sleeve but I think that’s just for a hydration bladder or something
@@rusticcharnaniganyes it’s for the hydration bladder.. however would the bag fit your average laptop?
You're super awesome
all your stuff looks brand new like its never been used or something
That’s cause some of them hadn’t been roughed up lol this was during our lockdowns, they deffs don’t look like that anymore haha
Its doable that's the main thing .
