Man, SA seems like one of the prettiest places in the world, geographically speaking. It's like the light is more diffuse in the evening, like it seems so in California and Northern Mexico.
The light is really amazing down here for sure, it's best in the winter since it's pretty much soft/not directly overhead all day so you can make photos any time which is a wonderful thing haha - will have to visit California and Northern Mexico sometime to compare the light! Cheers Alp!

Thanks Fritz! I enjoyed putting it together this way too, always keen to go slower on the photo front rather than end up making photos I don't enjoy - and some of the scenes were best rendered on video anyway haha!

@@ReclusiveEagle I love skiing but living in Minnesota we get quite a bit of snow, it's kind of an annoyance some times. It's the horribly cold temperatures that we get though that make it unbearable. For the last week I have been waking up to negative fahrenheit temps; you can't even go outside for more than ten minutes before you feel it in your bones.

Your video's always make me want to make video's of my photography. But I have no idea how to start as there are quite the film photography channels out there already.
If you're passionate about it and focus on making things you like then things without worrying about metrics and stuff too much then at the very least it'll be a fun way to learn more about putting together videos! I back it for you Pim!

Looks like a fun weekend, some great pictures and an unbelievable sunset! We have the opposite weather where I am, with mostly below freezing temps

It was great, I grew up in really intense heat in Tanzania so more used to it than the cold, my time in London was reaaaaaally tough with the winters sometimes ahah, always figured I'd rather be too cold and able to apply layers vs too hot with no options but as it turns out I prefer the heat haha!

the sunset reminds me of when the smoke from the California fires crossed over my state. beautiful but a little unsettling

And yeah the gear upgrade definitely influenced things - mainly cus' I want to get properly cohesive with the thing so I can get the most out of it when it joins me on some epic expeditions soon haha!

Thank you kindly! That bikini shot is a fave for me too, the pattern is really cool it's quite similar to a pattern that was on a very popular foam mattress for many years haha, reminds me of childhood!

Ahah it wasn't the most pleasant but when you're super exhausted it can be done lol!
For maintaining the extra warm sunset light, how do you set the white balance?
I had it set to just normal daylight I think, it rendered super warm all on its own for some reason - although the gh5 does seem to lean towards a yellow cast in general from what my brief experience has shown, and I'm using a reaaally cheap zoom lens so maybe that did something ahah!

Oh thank goodness that's a lovely thing to say and somewhat makes sense ahah - the reason it's in there is cus I had to use a different song last minute since the one I edited to originally somehow got copyrighted even though I've paid for a license lol. Didn't have time to try figure that out so just put this one in instead and tweaked things, and it's initial tune wasn't as long so had to include the voice!

It was so wild! I think there must've been a fire or something causing it to look that way, it got huuuge as well as it went up higher! Also yeah I really liked that aspect of the crab scene too haha - should've stopped down a bit though since things were quiiite overexposed haha - Those scenes reaaaaaaally are wild I am itching to share them
