LUCKY LABO ► lucky-labo.com I teach my wife Mayumi how to drive stick & drift my JZX100 drift missile. It doesn't end well... MERCH ► sammit.net FOLLOW ME ► @sammit01
She actually did great. She doing donuts the same day she just learned to the basics. I was just worried about them parked vehicles when he showed the intro.
I agree. Sammit 100% took control of the wheel and Mayumi gave up the control. Then he starts screaming "BRAKE! BRAKE! BRAKE!" which shocks the hell out of her. This was totally Sammit's mess up.
Shit happens, for someone that has barely driven before and never in a manual i reckon she did a fantastic job. Don't let it get to you, May, Sam kinda threw you into the deep end there. No offense, Sam. 😄 But hey if you can throw "Goes Wrong" into the title of the video it's a great day for a RUclipsr no matter what happened, right? 👌😅
dont want to be the guy to point it out but seeing her overcome her insecurities and having such a confident look while drifting that thing around is awesome to see.
Why not? it's beautiful that people actually look so deeply, I love seeing my wife learn something and the light bulb goes off, its like Xbox achievement unlocked.
The best part about YT Is having an opinion in the comments and giving feedback to the creators. I think your opinion was spot on, she really did overcome her insecurities and proved she could do it.
Seeing Mae’s reaction is priceless. She is smiling from ear to ear. I’m sure that new clutch took a beating but I am sure totally worth it. You’ll survive Sam. Love hurts sometimes.
Can't blame her, threw her in too deep. Might want to explain the mechanics of the clutch flywheel etc so she understands the pedal input. She did a great job
Don't touch the wheel yourself, she don't even know how to drive yet, keep it slow and let her have seat time so she can feel the car. But she did real good for first time! Keep it up!
The look on Maye's face is priceless good job Sam way to build her confidence. looking forward to seeing more enjoyable content from the channel how fun was that.
This video gives me joy and anxiety at the same time…don’t give her such a hard time next time bro I’m pretty sure she’s hella nervous let alone trying to figure out that car
This is the best learning how to drive video on youtube. Everything is so genuine, and the husband and wife thing. This is just the best, lots of laughing (not bc of the driving, but the conversations ). Mad props to her, she is doing a awesome job. Peace from the Mountains of Virginia in the US.
Are you on drugs? Seriously? This is the worst video. Firstly it’s not a how to drive video it’s how to DRIFT, second of all she doesn’t even DRIVE and he’s teaching her to DRIFT already, thirdly HE is the one who grabbed the steering wheel out of no where trying to be dominant when she is clearly not used to driving and caused the incident, also she said she doesn’t even know how the wheel works and he’s shouting about under and over steering
I LOVE this type of content, I went back looking for something to watch and found this. So many happy moments but, at 19.50 is clicks I can literally see it in her eye's 😁 Sam, your facial expressions were great and the "brake, brake, brake, I said brake" was gold 👍 you got this May ❤
This might be my favorite video you've ever done. I had a bigger smile than May watching her learning to do donuts. Looks like you guys had so much fun. That's awesome.
Bumper and arm damage is all on you bruh. She did well all throughout the video. Your instructions are terrible and taking the wheel from her at the end caused your lil accident. LoL
Let’s put a girl who has literally minutes of driving time into your drift car that you need for a comp tomorrow, to learn to drift… what could go wrong?
@@Synthetic-Chicken Cool... But to teach someone in a car that you are going to rely on the very next day to compete in that if you do well, it will catapult your career?
@@jesterking1 Its a risk he took, its a risk anyone takes when getting in any car really. I was taught how to control a car in a powerslide/skid before I knew how to drive and it served me well I think. All good and well knowing how to "drive" its a different thing being able to control an out of control car though.
@@Synthetic-Chicken I think you miss the point really... I'm not saying don't teach her in your car that you use in comps. I am saying, maybe don't do it the day before a competition when you really need it to work properly. Do it the day after when you have time to repair things if they break. Most people would say "Yeah, I really want to do well tomorrow, and I don't want to deal with a broken car. Lets mitigate that risk by just not using it to teach my wife, who has a few minutes in a car seat, how to do doughnuts." Just doesn't seem all that logical. But he, to each their own.
I really admire the patience you have with her. It’s a lot of pressure for a new inexperienced driver to jump into doing donuts. I feel she did very well and both of you came away with more knowledge. I hope this doesn’t deter her from learning. You have to crawl before you can run. Keep it up.
Her reaction after her first little donut was priceless. Immediately turned the opposite direction without any instruction from Sam and hit limiter. She wants it.
Fun to see you teaching her manual again. I enjoy teaching my girlfriend to drive my fc. Just makes me happy that there's more people learning the culture!
Honestly really good work of her! If you just starting out, the manual can be a really scary. for her to be able to do that even with some help from Sam it really swesome!
Man she really did good tbh. And biggest thing she didn't give up. And the crash was pretty much 50/50 lol but she will get better I'm ready to see you guys shredding it tandem
She did amazing congrats 🥳 and sammit your teaching her well y'all have a good spirit the never give up one someday I'll be living in Japan maybe we could meet and drift good luck to her on her driving n good luck on drifting sammit
This was way better then any other " I try to teach my girlfriend how to drive a stick." Them donuts were so tasty. Its always fun to watch you two together having fun with cars.
Don't learn her too fast she going to enjoy Sooo much can see the glow in her face and eyes and then you'll need to build that drift car asap for her 😂
I have seen a hand ripped off from the same situation. That was extremely lucky to say the least. Definitely need to go over with her the basics of a car
yeah to say she's barely driven i reckon she did great. Drifting being one of the first thing summit was probs going to happen i reckon every first timer is gonna mess up and thats part of the learning. Besides them donuts where kinda tight. Seen so many people first time doing them hardly holding a circle. Hope she reads this and slowly gains some confidence. Either way hats of for getting in the seat and giving it ago. On top of that doing it on vid for youtube i would have been so nervous :)
Sam, I think the perfect person to teach Mai to drift is Oka-chan. He has been coaching you perfectly, & would probably consider it a compliment. There is also the fact that anything said during the lessons would be teacher to student, not husband to wife. Yes, I think Mai did brilliantly, but I think she was 'diving in the deep end', as it where, rather than 'getting her feet wet'. Maybe rent Oka-chan's training car.I'm glad it was only light damage.
Great work May!!👍🏼👍🏼 keep training and you will be a pro in no time. You did very well in a not so great car for a novice driver😊 Get that Z set up for her ASAP sammit, we want to see you drift together
This was a brilliant video sam, you should give her some seat time on the sim to start to help understand the steering wheel feel, plus doesn’t matter if she doesn’t crash, but it will help her get a feel for the wheel
Awesome . Glad you teach your wife to drift. Good progress . Keep more of these videos comming , very entertaining. Can’t wait to see her drift in the Z
The intro picture is so perfect. Mae looks like she’s really enjoying herself, while Sam shrouded in a cloud of fear😬, anxiety😨 and regret 😱. Lol 😂 I’m kidding. You both were having a good time, until Sam almost lost an arm, which was 50/50 fault but can’t wait to see Mae shred properly. I give it 4 months and she’ll be rockin Minami Course 💯
12:14 "lets go to nishi course!"
sec later: "oh wait how do you stop the car?"
🤣
like bruh you wouldnt even make it up the hill 🤣

Sammit like Han in Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. The opening More More More. 😀😀😀

For a newbie she did quite well.
very wholesome, she looked like she was having a blast
