I love goblins. Especially since my favorite and first dnd character brander (kenku) runs a farm that is slowly becoming a small settlement, has a large population of goblins running it!
Goblin Brood Mother: A human adopting multiple species of Goblin, calling them her "children" or "Gobs." They do not have Goblin traits, nor are they inherently skilled at Goblin activites. They just...they just pick 'em up and bring them home. One of the Goblins, a City Goblin, has been quoted to have said, "Mom's weird. She just grabbed me while we were fighting some adventurers. Next thing I knew me and, like, fifty other Goblins were being fed apple sauce and chicken wings." When asked if he wanted to ever return, he simply replied, "No. Free food. And hugs. Hugs are nice."
I’m a hundred percent sure wouldn’t want _all_ of them. For example, you don’t want to wake up one to see a glint in the darkness of your roof, hear chattering of incoherent ramblings, smell a foul smell of rotting flesh and shit, only to find out that one of your adopted goblins was a cave goblin
Your art style has the incredible capability of completely changing the way I imagine the appearance of a goblin. I have never imagined a female goblin as something possibly "cute" before this.
Welcome to the world of cute monster girls, I'd start off with Monster Musume. If that's too hard for ya, just Google said words and die from a teeny tiny adorable-ness overdose.
Currently in a campaign I'm in, our party was ambushed by a pack of goblins in the forest. We killed 5 of the 6, which prompted the last one to start hiding to run away. Our bard then sought out to negotiate diplomacy with the goblin to get him to come out. He did, and thus after a few persuasion rolls and promises of making the last survivor leader after we free his fellow goblins from the orcs that have currently enslaved them, we now have Zagmok on our side. Then 4 more goblins joined us... then for Halloween we fought Shia LaBeouf which resulted in us having 13 surviving goblins joining the party. Now we're at the cave where the orcs are hold up and it's basically all out war, but for the most part we essentially have somewhere between 30-40 goblins fighting for us against these orcs. As for Zagmok, he's got a mace now and using it to instruct goblin archers when and where to fire with it. Can't wait for the next session, since we have basically raised an army of them.
@@Vernas_R So it's a long story for how the session went down, but let's just sum it up with I rolled at least 3 nat 1s in a row and my character is going to be doing some death saving throws next session. Up to 58 goblins, though!
@@Z0mb13g4m3r88 Wow, that is both unlucky and lucky. Sorry to hear about the three nat 1s and the death saving throws. Good luck with those, and hopefully one of the 58 goblins know some simple medicine. Also, are you using a balanced die?
I mean really just depends on where they grow up if they're growing up in an extremely unhealthy dirty place with barely any medical attention then they probably won't look the best but if they're going up in a fairly nice area where they are able to clean themselves with decent Medical attention then the goblin should look fairly fine
I generally think of them as kindof Ugly Cute, like Golam for example. Well that's whene I am not thinking of them in a Tolkienian sense as fallen elves corrupted as a result of years of allegiance to a god of evil. Though now that I think about it the beuty of the elves diminished into a sort of pitiably deformity is a somewhat compelling notion.
I enjoyed this video. It opened my eyes to interesting uniqueness to goblins. As while humans are the most diverse race culturally, goblins are the most diverse biologically
I made up my own type of goblin for a few campaigns when my Dad was teaching me how to play 2nd, 3rd and 3.5th edition of D&D. I called them mail goblins. They would deliver mail from town to town in groups of 6-8 with the symbol of their tribe on their arms or legs. They werent very much intelligent when compared to the other goblins and did not speak Common so they would go from person to person pointing at the name of the person that sent the package until the recipient took the package or if they were given something to track the person by smell they would just give the package to the most similar scented one. When handing over the package they dont speak at all since they at least know that normal people cant understand them. So they just nod when you take the package and run off to deliver more mail.
idk if this is your homebrew take or if this is out of another edition but either way, gotta remember to steal this for campaigns. Good stuff my dude, cute goblins.
Probably a little out of both, as 3.5E did certainly have a plethora of regional goblin types, though I don't remember any of them being able to dig, wall climb, or breath underwater.

With a Nat Twenty from the goblin He cleaved the Bugbears head off with one clean Spear throw. He was now the Demon lord Fuego and shall always be revered as the most badass goblin out there.
"Goblins in little suits and shoes" Oh no it's adorable. So is Ghost Goblin. The cave goblin reminds me of the movie The Descent though and that makes them terrifying. I love goblins. I remember first falling in love with the little idiots when I stumbled across some art of a handful of them by some artist. For about the last 2 years I've slowly been working on a goblin girl archetype for Yugioh. Been trying a large variation of them. Even made a goblin saiyan. Can you imagine the absolute destruction a goblin that could turn super saiyan would cause?
In my campaign we currently have a goblin NPC in a tuxedo tagging along with us. He's the reason I'm here lol. He and my rogue are partners in crime since she's the only member of the party that can speak goblin and likewise possesses a mischievous bent. He plays the confidence man while my character picks the mark's pockets. Not everyone in the party is enamoured with the little guy tho. Our gunbreaker likes picking on him so one time the goblin fired back with a comment about his mother. Guy punted the poor goblin right into a tree. Luckily, he only ended up with a slight concussion and a nasty split in his forehead which my rogue tended to while cussing the gunbreaker up and down.

The whole concept of Hell Hounds is that they are in fact "fiends", and the Animal Friendship spell only applies to creatures given the "beast" monster type. You will find that Winter Wolves are "monstrosities", and other various animal sounding or looking things that do not possess the "beast" type. A good way to tell is that the only creatures that are truly "beasts" (and thus Animal Friendship will work on them) is animals that exist in real life, or giant versions of said animal.
Or you could find a version if the Master of Many Forms prestige class and eventually learn to turn into one. Edit: Ah I take it back. Fiend isn't an option. Aberration is though. So is Fey.
I love using city goblins I've got a female goblin bard right now called Greta Gobo. Her face is a slightly more angled halfling like face but with big goblin ears. Also her figure has been magically enhanced by the transformation wizard to make her look more appealing to the more standard races. She essentially looks like a goblin Marilyn Monroe
I wonder what would happen if the goblin was constantly getting cut, slashed, burned, injury of choice, etc. Would it end up growing a shell or much thicker bones. Would it be much more aggressive and have a bonus to strength and the like?
I really liked the video and am not known to actually click like buttons, I instantly clicked the like button when at the end I heard the Junkrat laugh bit. This is just great
Thanks a million for this video, it inspired me to add Feral Goblins to my campaign, descended from stowaways that were cast off into an untamed continent and adapted to become practically animalistic, with social structures like lions and gorillas, a climbing speed, large canines and claws for hunting without tools, the ability to run faster in all fours, scent glands and even an intimidating roar ability for the alpha goblin of a clan. They hunt almost anything and speak in such an archaic form of goblin that even other non feral goblins can hardly understand it. Now they prowl the savannas in search of meat, from man or beast indistinguishably.
I'm now terrified of the goblin that other goblins consider a pyromaniac

Creator people: Goblins should be evil little pieces of....
Kanekuo: WRONG
Dude, you're voice and tone is like asmr, I love it!
Wait, are these variations of goblins real????
They are now.
As real as you need them to be
I need them to be.
They're official from now on, and i will Harass Wizards of The Coast every day until they accept that fact.
@@nanusantos1696 Do it!
