How To Use Jägermeister in Cocktails Jagermeister

- Most people equate Jägermeister with night clubs and shot machines and I think that's a bit unfair. In this episode I endeavor to show you guys some really amazing craft applications for Jägermeister in cocktails. Jäger is a great quality product so it makes sense that it has been being used by some of the top bartenders and finding it's way into some of the top bar programs in the country. There really is no reason why Jäger shouldn't be regarded in the same way as Ciociaro, Cynar, Fernet and other top Amari brands. This is a long video but it's well worth it, I cover six great cocktails with really varied flavor profiles that I think you guys will enjoy. So whether or not you love Jäger, I promise you these drinks will not disappoint!

As a german I'm always amazed how popular Jägermeister is around the world. Back in the day this was a drink for old men but then they had some very, very successful marketing campaigns that skyrocketed Jägermeister in the mainstream of drinks.
Jäger is the Dr. Pepper of liquor
I forgot to put my bottle in the fridge and to me it tastes much better when cold that Luke warm and I tried it warm and it was gross in comparison to when cold 😂

Step two: Wait and drink beer

Step four: repeat this until you can sleep in the weirdest and uncomfortable Positions

Me too! One thing I’ve always wondered (he does this too), why do you have to “lovingly” carve down the ice? Is there not an ice block that fits in a standard glass? Or could you not get a glass with measurements to fit the ice? I think the answer is that the ice is a rectangular prism and you want more of an octagonal prism, but if that’s true, how come nobody makes octagonal prism ice molds?
THANK YOU FOR SHOUTING OUT THE BARTENDERS WHO MADE THESE. Seriously. Thank you.
Also, Laura Newman’s Blue Collar Bird from Mother of Pearl is a stunning use of Jager.
I love this; it's like a "list" video but has the depth of a "normal" episode. Keep this 'ingredient showcase' series going!!!!
The most instructive tip is using Jager as an Amaro. Beginning and end of lesson. Thank you Barfly
Recently got to the alcohol scene. I've stocked up on a decently wide range of liquors, but I never considered Jagermeister because I honestly thought it was almost exclusively for partying. This video really opens up the door for me! I really enjoy this series and I think you should do more videos like this!
Jäger is like clove gumdrops. Kids dare each other to eat them because they think they're gross but the flavour profile really only appeals to people with unusual (or old) palates.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours! I love the single spirit focus and hope you do much more like it!
Just bought my first bottle, that surfer on acid and Jagerita is fantastic, thanks
The point of watching these is to see and learn something new. You nailed it! I started smiling when I read the title. Years ago in Germany an old German guy introduced me to Jagger as a “cold medicine”. So I never really thought of it as anything else (the cough syrup vibe didn’t help change my mind). But you’ve intrigued me.
Just made the Jägerrita and Jäger Buck.
LOVE BOTH, thank you a lot for these refreshing, flavourful cocktails
and then there is my friend:
drank whole bottle of jagger using "beer bong" and passed out half an hour later
Classic.

Lost so many days when I was 15-18 yeah we drink a lot in Germany and yes we usually start very young . Also Jägermeister is a great gift to bring to parties because not a lot of people will drink it . Jäger is basically the Tequila of Germany
@@Wolagio I thought it was Goldschlagger that was the Tequila in Germany, Bavaria, and Austria, no?
Ginger buck is awesome. I made this cocktail on a sunday afternoon with humid weather here in Bangalore. Oh!! Man it was so refreshing, it actually opened up my taste buds for lunch. I actually garnished with small ginger wedges, it came out well. Cheers.
This channel is super awesome. My curiosity on how to make an Old Fashioned got piqued and your videos came up in the results. They were the most professional and well produced, in contrast to the others. No sloppy pouring, no "This is *my* take." bullshit, just information, the specs and variants. You deserve millions of views, dude. Also, my intro to alcohol was at like, 8 or 9 with Zima. I LOVE that trash. I know that they brought it back for a while because people were going crazy about it...
i went to a Jagermeister sponsored event some years ago & until then i was only doing Jager shots, & had no idea how delicious a Jager cocktail could be! the drinks were very tasty. Thanks for this video, i will be trying these recipes soon
Thank you! I’m tired of mixing Jägermeister with either Redbull or Raspberry soda
Jagermeister with cognac and lil bit of creme de menthe.

OMG, idk how to react when u say brazilian licors are used to make 'obscure' cocktails. I'm brazilian and im struggle so much to get the variety u guys got outside our country. We need to find our way to make every classic cocktail, because everything is so hard to get here, and so expensive. I've never knew other countries use our recipes and use our liquors. This make me feel so good, cuz is kinda sad to see brazilian people who doesnt realise how good r somethings whe have here. I try to find a lot of different things to expand my knowlege, but i really apreciate cachaça which is probably the moust famous liquor from brazil, and I love to see a really good chanel, whit amezing content like your talking about us. Even if is in a couple of seconds. keep up with the really good job! Thx for making this day worth it!!!!
I love this type of video, where you not only get the recipe, but also very interesting information 🙏❤️
Oh my goodness I want to try all of these! The jager makes turns these drinks the most lovely color!
I love jagermiester with pineapple soft drink / soda (made the same way as a vodka lemonade / rum and coke etc). I can’t wait to try the jagerita
Love the vid. But would love to see a video of you consuming all 6 of those cocktails and then jibber jabber for another 10 minutes lol. I'm getting jager after work
I really appreciate your demeanor. Very straightforward and informative
Not a fan of Jager, but I appreciate this video. The history of the drinks and ingredients were interesting & still worth watching. Keep these types of vids coming!
Aww man, thank you for this. Jäger is such a great liqueur that doesn't get too much cocktail love. Honestly, I feel like Redbull genuinely goes great with Jäger but all that sugar and caffeine can be too much... That Jägerita looks damn good, definitely gonna try that one out.
Enrique Arellano how was it!?
Have you tried it with orange juice?
Andrzej Ława I tried the jagerita. Tasted like shit. 5/10. Would never drink again
@@Someonebutnoone10 I ment just plain mix of orange juice and Jägermeister. No slushing, nothing fancy. It may be simple but I like it :)

you missed the best thing to mix jägermeister with, Raspberry soda! i guess you can add more stuff but Jäger have that tone of licorice that goes so well with Raspberry
Thank you for this video man. Been a long time coming.
subbed! can't wait to see where this series goes, this is such a big problem solved and it's a super unique idea. see you on my youtube recommended (:
It's so refreshing to see Jagermeister used these ways. I've only heard of and had it mixed with red bull and thought it was pretty gross. It's pretty good on the rocks, but these look great!
13:32 love the adult version a kid in a candy store expression 😆
Thank you for another great upload!
I gotta say, that's the first time I've heard of it drank on ice.
Try it with Ginger ale and lime juice
If a German asks for a Schnaps, he will definitly include Jägermeister in this category. Also a funfact about Jägermeister, as you said it is made in Wolfenbüttel, where also is a disposal for atomic trash, which needs to be stored like for ever, so we say that Uranium or atomic trash is one of the 56 ingrediants of Jägermeister.
Great video, mate! Cheers from an Australian fan of Jagermeister

This is such a great way to inform on "hard" spirits !
My first shot was in fact Minttu, which is a finnish mint shot
Furthermore, when I work behind the bar, I try to spread the evangelium of Jägeritas, very few has bitten thus far.
I tried them all, none of them can compare with just ice-cold Jäger from the bottle...
...However! They're so much better than throwing in a can of redbull!
I knew it would finally happen. Something I don't have in the bar and numerous recipes for it.
This is really nice. I would like to open a pub at some point in my life, and this gives me really nice ideas.
I agree with everything you said about Jägermeister.
But a shot as a digestive after a big meal is the most adult way to consume it. :)
Your channel is always great but I especially loved this video and would love more of this style! Learning multiple cocktails for a spirit really helps to understand the complexity and nuances in a spirit. 🙂
Love this video idea. You make the best videos!
I’m a huge fan of Jäegermeister, got me through a trip around America living out of my jeep for two months, used it almost solely as a nightcap but it made some of those tiring and uncomfortable nights a lot more pleasant! pretty much my favorite camping/hiking drink since it works so well mixed into almost anything you have on hand, coffee? Good! Random craft root beer you found in kanas? Even better!! lol
Loved it, please do another less common spirit next. Chartreuse?

Hi Leandro, I have just made the Little Red Jacket to your spec of a month or two ago when I noted the recipe. Fresh Strawberry time is here now so I looked this up. I put it in a Hurricane glass and topped off with a 200ml Prosecco bottle.
It is indeed a lovely refreshing drink, perhaps a tad sweet because of the Prosecco but interesting multi flavours appear from the main alcohols used and the 2 muddled strawberries.
I will make it again.

Best video yet imho. Just bought first bottle of Jagarmeister!, in my mid sixties! Didnt have clue, told it was for shots (no appeal to this old surfer). These all look so wonderful, I will be trying each of them (well 5 out of 6 isnt too shabby; dont have apple jack- no use for buying, idt).

Its just a much sweeter Ramazzotti and that is a drink you have to drink on the rocks.
Here is how to drink Jäger like an adult: neat in a shot, icecold
Like a real man.
Low temperature to dull the flavour and throw it down fast to taste as little of what remains as possible, very manly.

12:00 I absolutely love that comically long barspoon
Jager is easily my fav drink, absolutely trying all those combinations

I agree it’s FANTASTIC!
dude... the ammount of subs on this is ridiculous. awesome content m8!
Im gonna make all of them! Thanks for sharing master!
I love this as a series idea. I'm the guy you hinted at in the intro who tries to avoid buying a spirit that I won't use in many drinks just because my "bar" is in a very small space so I tend to buy based on how many more recipes I will unlock given my current lineup. However, I have been known to bump certain ingredients if they're needed in a drink I really want to try, so this series may well coax me into picking up some more interesting things.
Sounds like this series is your worst nightmare! May be time to expand the bar!
@@TheEducatedBarfly The only problem with expanding is finding proper bar furniture! Everybody and their grandmother makes bar cabinets and racks, but so few actually provide a counter-height platform for making drinks.
