He says "got my tape measure here" I look up at the TV and he's holding it in a big wad. 😂 That hit me as very funny, almost fell out of my chair laughing.
Iam in the shop today welding on a bat wing mower, that caught a stump n fence his boy told me it was vibration also , I bet it's missing one of the knife cutter bars has boy tell me I think I might know where it is lol . So we ordered parts and they got here this morning. His boy got here early ask me why I didn't have the doors open , I just smiled then we went in the shop and it was about 20 degrees cooler in there , he looked at me and it's like a meat locker in here . I just laughed n told him that's why I keep it closed up 74 inside 94 out . I told him there do for a new mower and he agreed. I bet you drag works alot better now , waiting on the video n buddy action . I never will regret building this shop , From turkey creek farms be safe n thankful
I was dying laughing over your tape measure 😂. Never throw nothin away. I think your welds look pretty good, don’t know what that says about my welding.
I have seen a video of you using this implement and you had to make several passes with it. Your idea should make a big difference. Welds look fine. I’m not a professional but youngest grandson is. 👍👍
Nice mod too the plane, a tool that's not used all the time but handy as hell when you need it. You could weld a couple long bolts or some round stock to your frame that would line up with the holes on your weights and just set them on.
I have an 8 ft Land Pride land plane, I don't have the issue of it bouncing, in fact, quite the opposite. Mine will bury itself in gravel if not careful. What I've found is, go slow and you will make many trips back and forth with this tool. It's designed to loosen hard packed gravel and with mine, I'm able to fill in pot holes. Now, what some may not understand with these land planes, both of those blades need to sit "even" or close to it in order to work properly. Great video as always. Cheers :)
I thought about doing something like that where I could just set them down on top of it, but I came up with another solution you’ll see in a future video
Great job Ross, I think you will like that implement a lot more with some weight added to it. I have always thought those things were made too lite for doing a good job in packed gravel.
Ross your welding looks pretty good to me. Hopefully when you get that all put together the way you wanted to work like you're imagining and it will. Thanks Michael

I have the same plane i put a couple pieces of angle on mine and i hang suite case weights on it. The one i built is made out of old 1934 railroad track so its HEAVY and seems to work way better . See

A grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't !

Your custom made tools are just what you need for your needs and added bonus laughs along the way, thanks
🤣 thanks Doug!
The tape measure was the best part! 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Let's go brandon....i agree!
🤣🤣🤣
You did a nice job, Ross. That thing looks factory! 👍👍👍👍
Thanks Charlie! see, my teachers were wrong. Failing math didn’t affect me the rest of my life 🤣
Ross you are my long lost twin😂 i am exact same way. I think thats what draws me to your videos😂
Looks good Ross.
Thanks!
Nice farm welding 😊
Thanks Richard!

Another great video Ross. Your welding looks good to me. As long as it holds together, that's what it's all about. Great job.
Thanks Keith!
Very good job welding.
Thank you!
You made a pretty fair job of that welding Ross . Could not see much wrong with it !
Thanks!!
I wish we could get some of your rain,we are very dry here in western Illinois
Hopefully it will rain there soon!!

Thank you Tom!!!
Welding looking good to me and I used to weld for a living. Hope it all works out for you. See you soon.
Thanks Jonathan!
You definitely didn’t hurt the thing adding that to it, some of that Frontier stuff is light, I sold a lot of it back in the day.
I think it should work great!
welding is an art; its worth is in the eye of the beholder. :) and it looks good to me.
Thanks!!!

I thought of doing something like that but I came up with a different idea you’ll see in another video. Thanks for watching!!!

A couple short pieces of round rod on both sides welded to the smaller tube would let you slide them on and off without much trouble.

More Minnie Mo, Minnie MO, I love that Combine
I’ll try to get back to that project soon. Thanks Dave!
The welding and the color look pretty darn good to me But I can't wonder on a hot day when you are welding what Chris Losey was doing lol
🤣 Thanks John!
Looking good, the landplane that is not your ass!! Best weld I've seen made all day if I'm being honest.
Thanks Derek!
Fine job
Thanks Jason!

It seems to be better. Video should be out later this week!
hey ross they make a hammer so u dont have to use a bar lol lol
🤣🤣🤣
You alt to send you a hitch receiver on there too, so you can move trailers around if you’ve got a hook up
I have a hitch that I’ve made for the tractors to do that. I don’t wanna put any more strain on this thing than necessary, it was super expensive 🤣
Ross your welding looks pretty good to me. Hopefully when you get that all put together the way you wanted to work like you're imagining and it will. Thanks Michael
Thanks Michael!!
Gives measure twice a bad name - thanks for sharing
🤣 thanks for watching!!
You should have used that Chinaesum DeWalt and removed the paint and mill scale before you welded the project. Welding is 90% prep and 10% welding.
I did do some of that off camera. That’s why it magically appeared in one of the shots. Thanks Gary!

Your welding is better than mine
Thanks!!
If you had to run another brand tractor what would it be?? Like a ford or Deere or what?
It would’ve probably ended up being Deere. That’s really the only other thing I have a connection too.
You must be tough , I would burn my arms welding in short sleeve.
🤣 Just used to it I guess

Cool! That’s good to know that my idea isn’t for nothing.
Extra weight ought to be beneficial to the performance of the landplane. Don't have anything that fancy...just use a back blade.
Thanks Don! I never would’ve believed that this thing worked but it sure does a great job.
Need to install shanks / ripper teeth on the front bar. It will do a way better job.
I wish I had bought the woods brand one because they have ripper shanks on them from the factory. Oh well..
Looks good to me even if it didn't I can't see it from West Virginia lol
🤣 thanks!!
👍👍👍👍🍺🍺🍺🍺
Thanks Paul!
