Just found this animation again after all this time because of the It's Been So Long meme that was popular recently, I remember watching this video as a child and getting legit emotionally invested and getting really upset from the ending, it still feels somewhat powerful all these years later despite being a classic Mario parody, shows that this was crafted really well as a little hypothetical dark dive into the other side of the mushroom kingdom.
This is what happens to some people in real life. They live a long life with a family and friends. Then one day they go to war, not knowing that this day would be their last.

Technically, Mario was 'Super Mario' in this video as judged by his appearance (for those who don't know, Mario is simply referred to as 'Mario' when he doesn't have a Super Mushroom. And when he has a Super Mushroom he is called 'Super Mario'). The Goomba would live on, but Super Mario would merely be reduced to Mario. So I guess it's one step closer to the plumber's demise. Then again, Mario could just get another Super Mushroom and be back to his super state. LOOK I'M SORRY OK?!

Koopas know they can survive if they hide in their shells if they're attacked. So they take advantage of their ability and benefit from it. Their entire species behave like green-shelled koopas (without the shell part). They charge Mario head on like they're invincible and walk of cliffs. Some have even evolved into a stronger threat (hammer bro). Some can also live beyond the grave (Dry Bones).
Well, I'll be buggered. I just happened to stumble upon this well-animated short whilst on random auto-play. And, now that I've watched this the first time, I don't regret it one bit. I feel that you handled the pacing, framing and overall presentation of this bittersweet short very well. I especially like how you showed certain life events through both the protagonist's POV and his/her child's POV. Plus, your attention to detail with the environments and props (e.g. game consoles) really helped bring everything to life for me. All in all, I'd call this a well-written and well-executed short that shows an emotional glimpse on the short life of a Goomba. Even for the Mushroom Kingdom, war must be a living hell.

Many say that Mario is the True evil for killing so many Goombas, but Isn't it Bowser that sends these guys to their deaths? Mario is trying to save the girl he loves, Bowser is forcing many Goombas to throw their lives away just to slow him down. Mario is fighting for the well being of his home, Bowser is forcing the Goombas to do Bowser's work for him. Mario is like a Solder fighting for his people, Bowser is Like Hitler sending Goombas to their deaths. Mario is killing because he wants to save the ruler of his home and girlfriend, Bowser is sending the Goombas to die because he never learns that kidnapping Peach is the only thing you need to do to get Mario to come and wreck the place. So I ask you this: Who is the true evil in this matter; The guy that is killing for his home, or the guy that is sending harmless people to die so he has more time to prepare for attack? I will not hate you if you think Mario is the True Monster, but Mario would most likely be fighting for the goombas if Bowser didn't make them betray the Mushroom Kingdom or put them as road blocks to slow Mario's progress.

Many say that Mario is the True evil for killing so many Goombas, but Isn't it Bowser that sends these guys to their deaths?
Mario is trying to save the girl he loves, Bowser is forcing many Goombas to throw their lives away just to slow him down.
Mario is fighting for the well being of his home, Bowser is forcing the Goombas to do Bowser's work for him.
Mario is like a Solder fighting for his people, Bowser is Like Hitler sending Goombas to their deaths.
Mario is killing because he wants to save the ruler of his home and girlfriend, Bowser is sending the Goombas to die because he never learns that kidnapping Peach is the only thing you need to do to get Mario to come and wreck the place.
So I ask you this:
Who is the true evil in this matter; The guy that is killing for his home, or the guy that is sending harmless people to die so he has more time to prepare for attack?
I will not hate you if you think Mario is the True Monster, but Mario would most likely be fighting for the goombas if Bowser didn't make them betray the Mushroom Kingdom or put them as road blocks to slow Mario's progress.

4.In the original SMB the Goombas does not charge at you,they just walk peacefully,Mario still kills them.
