Thank you for being brave enough to share your REAL life instead of a curated, glossy version. So many of us struggle and it’s reaffirming to know we’re not alone. I hope you and your husband can sort out his health issues with the neurologist. It’s important to speak up. Good luck with Found. Be good to yourself. Sending you hugs from 🇨🇦

@@JillLynnBeautyTherapy Jill, I’m so hoping you were able to talk to the neurologist, otherwise, you won’t get solutions. You could also do a scheduled call with the dr? Might be easier. The dr’s assistant/nurse could also help you.

My dear sweet girl, I am now a a 74 year old widow, in 2005 when I was very vital 56 my husband changed due to medical complications. We had been happily married for 37 years. I quit work because he had periods of not being able to be alone. He had many years of stability but never was who he once was. He passed in 2021. I am thankful for all the years we had, and that my faith was able to keep me strong enough to enable me to care for him. I saw you for the first time today, your fall look video popped up and I need to start wearing makeup again. Then I came across this video. I will tell you Citalapram helped my anxiety and it does not make me lethargic. Hang in there I really learned it takes time for the right medication for everyone.

I’m a new subscriber, and work in healthcare. I appreciate your content very much. Just wanted to say, you are not being selfish. He is the one going through it, but you are going through it with him. A lot of the aggressive behavior that comes out is not something they can control, and it’s the caregivers that suffer in silence. Do not. You need to voice what is going on, it will get worse, and it’s better to let it be known what is going on. Lots of love and prayers for your journey! ❤😊

Jill this vlog was so informative and insightful. I did OMAD and Keto and lost nearly 100 lbs over the course of two years. Then I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The steriods I was prescribed post chemo and radiation have wreaked havoc not only on my joints causing mobility issues but caused excessive weight gain. I've been looking at either gastric sleeve surgery or ozempic treatment. Sometimes we have to consider all the benefits of weight loss against the possible side effects of surgery or pharmaceutical treatment. I watched you steadily lose weight and I know you can do it again. I am hopeful I will find some effective assistance at 55 I want to be as healthy as possible. I don't overeat but I just feel the steriods are keeping me from losing at this point.
I appreciate your positive outlook and as a community of women we support you. Good days and bad days, we all have them; then we need to pick ourselves up and keep moving forward. I meditate and pray daily, it provides so much comfort and peace. Some days I just meditate on the saying, "This too shall pass.." Remember, "You is kind. You is smart. You is important."
    Kathryn Stockett, The Help
    Raising you up in prayer.

2nd comment- thank you for being real & not sugarcoating things in your life. It makes me feel so much more normal with the things that I’m dealing with. As far as the Cymbalta, I was on it for a couple of months & hated it. I have now been on Wellbutrin for six months & it is working amazingly. It is very subtle, but it does help with my ADHD. And I also haven’t noticed any weight game since starting it. I have had a few weeks of wanting to sleep more so I have upped my meditation game & am now meditating twice a day. Yes, sometimes meditating makes me fall asleep, but I feel that if I fall asleep, my body is obviously needing it for some reason. I no longer beat myself up for not being as productive on certain days. Anyway, I appreciate you being vulnerable and your honesty. Thank you so much.! Sending you lots of love, light & prayers. ❤️✨🙏

I struggled for 20 years with my weight (I’m 57) and I had consultation with dietitian and cognitive behavioural psychologist then I had weight loss surgery. Luckily the dog gets me out of the house to go on walks. He's a little lifesaver. I'm sorry to hear what is happening with your husband. I send you lots of strength to deal with all of that in your life. I'm happy to go on your journey with you concerning Found, so if you wanted to share more of that, I would be interested. Dear Jill. I have just finished watching your vlog from here in UK. I used to work with people with Lewy Body diagnosis and I'm fully aware of some of the challenges you are facing. Yes, it's horrible for your husband but also for you, as it all seems so unfair and unexpected. I hope you are remembering to be kind to yourself. We as women are always looking to nurture others but sometimes we have to be selfish. That doesn't come easily! I am also interested in your weight loss journey as since going through the menopause, I am struggling to lose 20 lb even on very low carbs. How depressing! Take care and all the best ❤

I found that all the antidepressants work the same way and in some cases can make one apathetic this is why you become less active.
In addtion they deplete your bodys vitamins and minerials. A solution for anxiety and depression is B1 100mg along with taking walks putting your attention outward and planned stratagies for handling stressful people and situations in your life to include reorganizing your life to work for you better.

I'm not sure what is going on with your husband but I feel you arw having a hard time in your personal life. I don't know the details but I do feel your pain! I don't have the issues you are going through but I do share your lack of enthusiasm. Not really sure why I m writing to you. I don't have any wonderful words of reason. For me, my weight issues, I joined Weight Watchers. I didn't ever think I would. I didn't think I wanted to go to a group meeting. But I did and it was great. I did loose my weight 50 pounds. It took me longer than I wanted but it was progressive. The leader was great. She had a sick sense of humor, like I do. Just an idea. The thing I liked about it was their App to keep track of the food you eat. Again you meet other women like myself. I would love to go on your journey with you. FYI I'm 76 but on the younger side. There is a wonderful channel called “My Charming Abode” & their second channel “Living with Dementia” (I’m pretty sure that’s the name of it). It is a channel where the husband has been diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia & the wife is his main caregiver. They share their struggles with not only the progression of his disease, but how the wife feels being his main caregiver. It is a beautiful & safe channel & very honest. I really feel that you might find comfort & maybe some answers from their channel. In the meantime I will be praying for you & your husband & sending you lots of love & healing light. ❤✨🙏

Good morning sweet Jill, its Monday morning and I'm just catching this vlog. Yes, please keep us updated on your progress. Praying for you! When my mom was sick and i was her caregiver basically, she became very vocal and at times it was abusive. Her nurse explained to me that it was because i was there with her, she knew this was probably her last rodeo so to speak and it was her meds. Same with my husband when he became ill, but he was like that throughout our marriage, so i was kinda use to it from him. It's not an easy situation to be in for the caregiver or the one who is sick. I really don't know if this is what you're dealing with, but whatever it is my prayers are with you!! Stay well and safe! Hugs ♥️

Jill I found that I lost weight when I switched to a Vegan diet. I also went to eating two meals a day. Morning and between 3 and 4 in the afternoon. Drink lots of water for sure. I feel so much better since I’ve followed that plan. I am totally against drugs and find that they only complicated my life. Have you thought about a Holistic Doctor or a Naturopath Doctor? The other thing that helped me was moving out of your area to Arizona where I have enjoyed so much sunshine! It really has helped me. I certainly hope you find a solution to your predicament. ☀️☀️🌴🌵

I’m sorry to hear about your husband but you definitely need to make his neurologist aware of the situation. I don’t know you personally but from outsider looking in… I feel everything you feeling is totally normal. I hope the doctor can finally find the medication for you. When you start feeling better I hope you have more coffee dates with your friend. So I don't forget, yes, I would be very interested in following your FOUND journey. It is good to know there is so much help now and it is available via the internet. I personally hate go to a doctor's office, especially with Covid still hanging around. I really like the way Big Time looks. I don't think I have one (have to check my list) but they never look as good in RW's dark colors as they do in the lighter ones. Also, I am finding that my oldest pieces (10 years), especially those from Jon Renau, are better than the newer for some reason. I loved that first outfit. That olive (?) green dress is so pretty, wow. I need a throw and go outfit so I think I will spend some time today on Amazon for one. As for these emotional challenges you are struggling with, there are some too personal to divulge to the public (even though we consider ourselves your friends). I hope you have someone close to share them with. You are so good to tolerate anything at this point, given all your are doing for others. I think I would be driven to move. But, having said that, I have a neighbor plaguing us (for the past four years) and she is a renter, I am an owner and I will be danged if I am the one to leave the property we have invested so much in for 24 years now. It has cast a periodic and relentless pall over me that I am trying to shake off, so, in some say, I think I can relate to your struggle. Share whatever you can with us -- it makes us feel we are not alone in handling the changes life throws our way, that seem harder to deal with as we are -- as you point out -- over 55 and counting! Love you, Jill. 😘

The current trendy weight-loss drugs, the ones intended to lower A1C, scare the bejesus out of me. I don't know anyone who's taken Ozempic or Wagovy that could tolerate it and one friend has had gastro surgery twice because of it. Depression is a greedy emotion and latches on to anything it can to grow. I'm so concerned for you, Jill. While my husband doesn't have as serious an issue as yours, his PTSD is a constant issue. When he's triggered, he's a different person. Also not physically abusive at all, but throws me for a real loop emotionally and AFTER the dust settles, he sometimes either doesn't believe me when I tell him what he said or just wants to ignore that anything has happened. It's exhausting. I wonder if that sounds familiar to you at all. Sending you hopes and prayers for a better week.

One never knows when the day or week is going to happen that when he drinks he has a personality issue and often mostly doesn’t even remember .I ignored it for years because I didn’t know better and the good times were really good. It was often times abusive which can display verbal, emotional and physical but it controlled me I never knew when or how it would happen I became addicted to his behavior and trying to hide it or justify it sr get my kids and leave and go play . But really nothing worked until I had enough and knew it wasn’t going to change. I fled in the middle of the night with one suitcase and a a baby. I had already removed my 2 other children. I got help and I learned what I was dealing with and made changes in myself.. your depressed. Try metoand if and omad and you won’t believe the weight loss. Your feeling trapped and you are the only one that help yourself and don’t focus on him. Maybe he needs to go into a home ! You are suffering ! I’ve watched you and you were really getting happy it seemed with yourself ., So beautiful and I’m glad your speaking about it ! Don’t close down please

If your husband has given authorization for you to be informed on his health, I believe you can speak to the neurologist away from your husband's hearing. My late husband was mentally ill and verbally abusive and I spoke with his doctors confidentially. Of course I know nothing about the details of what you're dealing with but this might be an option. Blessings, dear Jill. I hope the best for you.

Jill I am worried about you. Have you had blood work? You could have low thyroid, low adrenals, starting Cushing, the list goes on. Don’t let the doctors think it is just depression. They kept on telling me it was all in my head and then I crashed. I have Addison’s disease. I wasn’t making steroids. Please see a doctor and get a checkup. We want to see you. I love the blogs you do! Take care!

Hey jill you have a total right to privacy. All i know is when my dad had heart failure and kidney failure (also diabetes 2) he was volatile at times.
I agree take the opportunity to talk to the neurologist.
You may want to even say can I speak to u separate from your husband. You need to put on your parachute before you can help your husband. ❤

Yes, he has LBD. He has improved remarkably on Aricept, and it took away his terrible hallucinations. Anyone who didn't know him well wouldn't think anything was wrong with him. Which is why when this happens, it is confusing. :/

Hi Jill, I did a similar medical weight loss program thru my insurance during the pandemic. I found out I'm insulin resistant and was put on Metformin and increased my Synthroid. I lost 30 pounds in about 6 months. I continue to take Metformin but unfortunately I gained back about half the weight this past year and recently I am really falling off the wagon big time with my eating and lack of motivation to exercise or do much of anything. I too suffer from physical pain and depression. I have taken different anti-depressants in the past for sometimes a year at a time. They have helped me for a time but all have side effects, weight gain, drowsiness, lack of feelings both bad and good etc., and personally I don't want to go that route. The thing that helped me most in the weight program was the food journaling (I used the Baritastic app) and one on one counseling with a nutritionist. It takes a lot of discipline of course and I just don't seem to have it in me right now. I'll get there one day...I always pull out of it and get back on track... over and over. Best wishes to you on this journey called life! Sherry

Hi Jill. Lots of things to touch on, but I will try to keep it short .. You and I started Cymbalta at the same time. I increased the mg after you did , and found that 60mg appeared to be the therapeutic dose in helping my back as well as some depression .. I noticed my appetite increasing shortly after I started the medication and was wondering if you were going to have the same issue, and sure enough you did. My problem is that it is helping with my chronic back issues and the depression , so I am not in a big hurry to get off of it at this time.. I will be curious to know if and when you go off the Cymbalta , what your doctor will prescribe .. As far as your husband, my heart breaks for you .. When you originally spoke about his behavior I immediately thought of the medication that the doctor prescribed for him (Aricept) because that medication can cause aggression , agitation and irritability as a side effect along with nervousness and crying for no reason, which are other side effects I am familiar with since my mother had been taking it for a while. I know you said that this medication has worked wonders for your husband and he has become much more aware of what is going on around him and has become more self sufficient which is a good thing, but maybe being more aware of some things has caused him to act out and take out his frustrations on you..I believe you were at your thinnest and looking amazing at around this time …Who knows what he was thinking about with your weight loss journey , but I am wondering if this has anything to do with his behavior, or maybe a side effect from that medication ..I definitely think it is a good idea to speak to the doctor when you go with your husband but maybe it would be a good idea to contact the dr prior to you going and hopefully you can speak to the doctor before the two of you actually go together .. Just a thought since there will be a lot to discuss …..Please take Care of Yourself❤
