Harbin Ice and Snow World, one of the world’s largest ice and snow theme parks, opened to the public in northeastern China on December 23, 2019. The frozen attraction in Heilongjiang province is linked to the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival which opens on January 5, 2020.

They cut big ice cubes from the nearby frozen Songhua River, so it is not that expensive.
The ice city only exist during winter time so the ticket is expensive. But it definitely worth the money.

I've been there 2 years ago. The perfect time to enjoy it is at evening, when dark comes down and colourful lights illuminate the ice buildings. But brace yourself, the freezing air is not for faint-hearted. Even though you are from sub trop countries, it doesn't mean the cold is bearable. But very worth it.

I am in Harbin at the festival right now in the coffee shop looking into the village. It's sooo cold but the sculptures are amazing.
South Korea invites Harbin ice sculpture masters to South Korea to help train ice sculpture techniques. In a few years, ice sculptures will soon become Korean folk culture like the Zigong Lantern Festival and Suzhou embroidery.

Monérp Mon You need to open up your eyes. This is an annual show in Harbin, China since 1963 that lasts couple months around Chinese New Year. Back in the old days it took them months to put things together and have people carve the sculptures. The themes are different every single year
