Very cool. It turned out really well. I’ve always loved copper. How did it work out once in use for a while? Did the strings pull that back lip over under tension since it wasn’t joined to the sides? Just curious because this looks like it’d be worth emulating. Great job

Looks great. Just curious, does reversing the slant of the pickup have any advantage or just to be different?

The slant was to boost the treble in the original tele bridge, so this would probably have the opposite effect.

Could this also be done with other metals such as brass?

did you braise/solder the corners of the box? might help a bit with structural integrity

No there's no need. 16 gauge copper is pretty thick at .063 inches or 1.25mm. Its plenty strong for what it does.

    Why Copper?
    Why not have 6 saddles?
    Inquiring minds need to know.
    Thanks 🙏🏻
It’s a good thing that you used the glove. Dull bits could catch. You know and spin. It could have sliced and diced you.. No good 😌
    P.S.
Isn’t copper the same price as gold these days? 😉🙌🏻
    Save the copper dust 😬
