I’ve watched a ton of RUclips golfers taking bits and pieces from each one trying to get rid of my slice. This past weekend I had my first ever rd of golf where I didn’t slice a single one off the tee. You guys was a part of that. Thanks.

That's amazing to hear. Congrats on a solid round of golf! Happy we could help.

Great video guys thank you! May I ask, are you still trying to hit up on the ball with this approach? Same set up with a wide stance and ball just inside left heel? Thank you

All golfer youtubers are good they taught me how to play golf but you guys taught me the most!

Great vid. However if you have adjusted your driver for a Draw,ie, sits more closed at address, then hitting a controlled fade is almost impossible unless you have high skill.Interesting content as always. Thanks

Then you might as well hit a 5 Iron off the tee. Which is sometimes not a bad idea. I do it on par 5's, hit 5 iron off the tee, then another 5 iron and 3rd shot wedge onto the green. My partners try to smash a driver, which ends up in the woods. Then they have to chip it out onto the fairway. Then they try to smash a 3 wood to the green which ends up in the woods again. Eventually they are on the green in 5 or 6 and I am on in 3. Course management. And know your limits.

I'm interested to know why you wouldn't just hit a 3w or 5w instead? It would carry the same or more than the driver and probably not have any shot shape too unless you hit it really bad, but that would apply to the driver too. I'll give this a try though and see for myself

What would also have helped would have been not to take such a huge backswing. That's not helping that slice.

      That can definitely work too.👍🏻

I hit my driver really good, off the deck, on long par 5’s. So, I kinda like using this “tee it low” shot, on narrow holes. I’ve learned to make a long, shallow, low point, just grazing the grass through the hitting area.

Love it Jamie! There is definitely some trial and error on this to find some good ones to use.

I could have used this today. I was wild with my driver and couldn’t get the 3w going either, which is very unusual because my 3w is normally my go to club on the tee when I need to be in play.

Give this a go on thew range Steve and see what you get. Let us know.

Thanks guys! Tee it low to go low. 😂. How low is the tee? It looks like the top of the driver face is even with the top of the ball?

If it hits the fairway then it's in a great spot.

So when I first started golfing my drive was the best part of my game. Dead straight everytime but my irons was abysmal. I eventually adjusted my swing so that now my iron game is fantastic, straight as can be but my drives tanked and I for the life of me can't get them back on track.

I understand your theory here guys but if I tee it low I produce a fade. I much prefer to hit my five wood if I absolutely must find a narrow fairway because I actually hit my driver with a baby draw 230-240 carry. Definitely food for thought and as always one must be prepared to think outside the box 👍🏻🇦🇺

Great strategy to use a 5 wood Grant. Experiment with having some very soft swings with a driver and see what it produces. The driver has the biggest head which is nice sometimes😁. Let us know how it goes.

Why wouldn’t you just hit your normal 3 Wood or even a Hybrid instead of making all these adjustments?

    • @meandmygolf.
      @meandmygolf.  2 года назад

You can certainly do that too. It's just nice finding something with the driver as it's very forgiving.

  • @Forder93

Not a chance he constantly carrys the ball 230/240. Guarentee with that reckless swing hes going about 190 and 50 yards right.
Not trying to be funny gents but would it not be better to keep the same setup and just have a smoother swing? Genuine question

It's more of a meaning to hit the fairway. If it gets there with shape then it doesn't really matter as long as it gets there.👍🏻

Does this bloke think he's John Daly? Man that back swing was huge of the first hit. Second shot he just pulled that his left shoulder and got the looper. Same for third.

Best way to hit fairways for a higher handicapper is not to try and smash the granny out of it......

Definitely a good skill to hit some softer shots Dave.
