Living in the post-apocalyptic land of Ooo, Finn, a 14-year-old boy, and his magical dog, Jake, embark on a series of missions to prove themselves as virtuous adventurers.
The #Lich is the main antagonist of the 2010 Cartoon Network animated TV series #AdventureTime.
He is an ancient cosmic being who is the manifestation of the inevitable death of all things. His essence was deposited on Earth millions of years before the start of the show via a catalyst comet, but came into physical being near the end of the Mushroom War via a "mutagenic bomb" after he possessed a person who had been submerged in mutagenic waste.His first appearance is in "His Hero" where the hero Billy casts him down. He was imprisoned in the ancient tree in the Candy Kingdom, but escapes and plays a significant role in "Mortal Folly," "Mortal Recoil," "The Lich," "Finn the Human," and "Jake the Dog." The Lich goes on to kill Prismo and releases the criminals in the Crystal Citadel in "Wake Up" and "Escape from the Citadel." However, by the end of the later episode, the Lich is turned into a harmless baby by the Citadel Guardian's healing blood and is adopted by Tree Trunks and Mr. Pig, renamed "Sweet Pig-Trunks," or "Sweet P" for short.

I like the idea that the Lich, being unaware of the human island, thinks of Finn as the last of a species and thus a defiance of extinction and of the Lich. Finn represents the failure of the Lich to truly end life
No. Fin represents that even when you think you survived, you just delayed the inevitable. Fin is no immortal as far as I know.

That was a great video! The audio wasn’t bad either. I really never thought of the Lich and Finn’s relationship in this way but I think you are right. While Finn may not be the literal antithesis to the Lich, he definitely is metaphorically. Well done, man!

I was always afraid of the Lich, fearing he was watching me in my sleep. But, in his finale death I then felt safe
the lich being literally the scholar of Golb makes it so much better especially when Golb is revealed

I remember being scared of the Lich when I was a kid
Really nice video! The Lich also happens to be one of my favourite villains - from his looks to his voice and his goal - everything about him is chilling. And he's probably one of the most powerful villains of all time as he is extinction - something that inevitably comes no matter what - you can try to slow it down but you can never prevent it from happening. While other villains might ultimately fail, the Lich will not as eventually he will be able to destroy all life - he is inevitable. What's even more chilling about him is that he doesn't just want to kill everyone - he wants to end everything. His goal is not just to destroy all life, but to also stop the cycle of life and death and really end everything. And while Golb is an entity of chaos and destruction that just destroys worlds it happens to pass through, the Lich actively seeks these worlds out to destroy them. But what I have been wondering is: Can Golb delete the Lich? It seems that the answer might be yes, but then again - we know that the Lich is inevitable and he's more so the embodiment of the End, rather than a physical being. Does that mean that eventually Golb would also have an end and everything would stop existing like our universe might one day end once and for all? This got really philosophical really fast!
So I also do "power scaling" and in short Lich is weaker than Prismo who's weaker than Golb
Not only that but Lich is a self described *scholar of Golb* which means he was probably worshipping him to some extent
And the 3rd thing is that Golb is a primordial entity, meaning he existed before the universe so Lich ending the universe would just make everything go back to that yellow sea of monsters with Golb being one of them
Ron Pearlman's voice acting for the lich was perfect, I love the sound of his voice.
Given this analysis, I think it's a good thing that the Lich, while being the last enemy that Finn and Jake face before their reincarnation, is also not ultimately defeated. Jake just throws him away somewhere he won't be an immediate problem. Because no matter what they do, no matter how strong they are, truly defeating the Lich is impossible. But Finn and Jake choose to live, undeterred by that threat, just like we all choose to live in the face of inevitable oblivion.
There's some rough edges but the video was way better than I hoped it could ever be, you definitely have the potential to grow bigger than this, good luck, man.
And, guess I'll have to get myself to finally watch Adventure Time.

I feel you missed a couple of things
First If BEFORE nothing there were Monsters...
How come there was nothing again
Is this his way of saying "There were monsters before and *I* killed them all so thoroughly that there was nothing left afterwards" ??
Or is it that the monsters canibalized themselves and after that he was the one and only survivior?
Or maybe even the by product of such an enormous massacre?
Also he also keeps in character at all times. He could make his job easier by having some goons. But he doesnt. Cause he kills everyone that comes near him
He only wants to use the Ancients because he probably couldnt sail space alone. But if not for that he would´ve probably killed them too

I like the ideas you’re presenting here and I think you would benefit a lot from a bit of polish. I played with the playback speed and I personally found the 1.75 speed to sound the most natural but that could just be me.

I hate enemies whos only purpose is to destory the world their goal seems so empty and meaningless. I rather see enemies that want to rule the world with an iron fist those are alot better.
