This one always hits hard, all the little things in the animated short and of course the moment they had to choose to cue in the music... These devs sure know how to make people cry.
The begining part of that was all the coree and gems that kianna aquired. Otto was serenity, then domination, then corruption, then void, then conquest, then reason, then death, then haste
I haven’t stuck around for every single Honkai 3rd Impact event, but Graduation Trip brings out emotions from me. I’m admittedly not a devout player, but I still owe good memories to this game. I remember playing this game a long time ago too. So seeing the story culminate like this is really emotional. Godamnit hoyoverse…
Watching this cutscene again after the months since the chapter first released, I'm still crying. Thinking back from that first halo jump, the fight in Nagazora and the Theater of domination and everything that happened afterwards. Kiana has gone through so much and has held strong, or held fast to her friends who helped her along the way. It's so uplifting and so heartbreaking at the same time. Honkai is a story that will destroy you and also lift you up unlike so many comparable stories. Honkai is a Gacha game. You battle in the Abyss and Memorial Arena to try and obtain the highest scores, or just try to get the most "plot" driven characters... But at it's center, it's a game that will grasp your heart with it's story if you give it the time and patience past chapter 4. I love this game and it has honestly helped me through the loss of friends and family and I hope others who read this will give the game a shot. I don't say this as an endorsement of Hoyoverse; Genshin and HSR have great stories, but HI3 is something truly special and you're doing yourself a disservice by skipping over it. I truly hope that 2.0 gets the same love that the original story received because their writers are truly something special.
My stance on APHO and specifically part 3 is that if they are going to bring Kiana in they should hold off until next year. Possibly drop APHO 3 for one of the anniversaries and then have Kiana 'ride in on a white horse' without actually announcing her in advance. That would hit hard. If they decide to not bring Kiana in with Part 3 and the story doesn't end with it, then they should try to get APHO3 out by the end of this year. And thinking about how they usually do story arcs the current arc should finish around September. Dropping APHO 3 with the first Fall patch could be a great move. Especially if they accompany that with main roster APHO Mei and Timido.
To be honest Gav,Even though i never play the game but i must say i really relate what you fell during the video duration cuz i've been watching every cutscene in the game from begining till end...and im somewhat really immerse in it....to be truth im having rough moment holding tears down my eyes in this video cutscene especially when suddenly i heard himeko voice(since himeko cutscene is where i having a hard breakdown) cuz from the scene to background music its all so beautifully made....by the way cool video man
It has definitely been a worthwhile experience, and its still not over! Kiana is just taking a little break from the story, but I feel like this will allow for a great opportunity for newcomers to the game to jump in as well. It's always hard to part ways with anyone no matter the duration and this animated short really drives that point home, it's a complete masterpiece 😊 thanks for watching and leaving you thoughts!

In terms of meta DPS picks, Hoyo’s HI3rd Emotional Damage build is still unmatched They got me feeling bad for Herrscher of Corruption. I can’t fully appreciate the beauty of this animation through all these tears.
