Thank you for thinking of making a new door for the donkeys.they will be so happy. The place look pretty nice with all the brown stuff gone. Pure white makes it peacefully. The storm came to early for it to go out like a lion. It is not close to the end of the month. We have 10 days to go. Lol. I love the way the barn is set up. Love the way you fed the grain. You have a great day and have hot chocolate with you gal. 👍🍁Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Who was that sneaky horse trying to grab a bite as you walked past him with the bale? Seeing their personalities come through is such fun. Awesome to see them galloping towards you when called!
Yes Joel that was awesome seeing the horses running thru the snow for dinner! I’m loving the donkeys! Thanks again Joel for another excellent review of your stable life, Everyone please stay safe and keep warm/well
I was thinking the same thing. I live in Cypress, just outside of Houston, and we are still reeling from the snow last February. I absolutely am impressed by how most people from snowy areas seem to just take it in stride.
Awwww they are all so beautiful running in the snow. Hope they get a full belly and warm up a little. Joel you are an amazing care giver to these beauties. You will be blessed many times over for the love you have for the horses. Thank you!
Good job with the horses Joel. Horses and cattle are made to live out in the elements. Lots of people don't even use blankets on their horses. The crusty ice is like a coat on them. They do need plenty of calories during cold weather tho. Great idea for your donkeys. Cute lil buggers :)
I love hearing the heavy clip clop of Weather and Tucker’s hooves when they come in 🥰 We needed Gavin for the play-by-play as they came running 😆 that would have been fun too.
Great to see the horses running in fresh snow. Beautiful. Can you talk about how you stay safe around those large animals. Do's and don't's when you interact with them.
Joel, That is what we almost got but skip us we ended up with flash floods thunderstorms down pouring and temp drop in the 30’s and 40’s . The poor horses our covered in snow . Do you take their coats off and shake the coats off?Boy their ready to come in out of that snow . That is good for Buster and Rocky just their size.
Hello, glad to see you and the horses again. Still learning the faces of the horses, i have the names just have to put with the correct horse. Keep the vídeos coming.
BTW, I just wanted you to know that your cousin / brother / kinfolk, etc that runs the 'veggie boys' channel, all of you do a great job working together in running the family business. I appreciate younger adults who don't mind working hard. Back to this video, just curious why the water bucket is secured directly below the hay rack? I'm sure a lot of straw and trash fall into their water throughout the day. Is there not another wall available for a clean drink?
So much snow and so cold. We have been having a heat wave 61 to 63 C over the pond in England. I went to the seaside on Friday and walked along the beach in the sunshine. Tidal range 45 ft on Friday that is over a mile down the beach. Several riders out enjoying the sand. Lots of dog walkers, nice to seem them scooping the poop. It was lovely to see the horses running up when they were called. How come one herd needed to be called and the other one they were waiting right by the door?
Seeing the horses coming to the barn through the snow was wonderful. You call the horses guys or boys. Are there no mares? I really enjoy your channel.
For the donkey door -- as an internum step until you get the new door constructed, could you not just flip the door you have, upside down? This would put the metal fence part of the door at the bottom to at least give the donkeys the ability to look and see what is happening outside their door, etc. Again, would just be until your new door is done the way you want it.
Hi Joel, My husband and I just love watching your channel. We're from Central Pennsylvania and hopefully when the weather gets nicer we would love to come up and visit you and your cousins the Veggy Boys! I have a question about your videos, is there anyway you could show the date on the videos so we can see what day you actually videoed. Well keep up the great work Joel... Tell your wife, mom and dad the WESTOVER'S said Hi!! Oh the donkeys are the STARS 🤩.. my husband just loves Buster and Rockie and can't wait to see the new donkey stall!
Horse's usually do very well out in the bad weather, but it's great seeing them all so pampered. I am curious (& you may have explained it already.) But outside of the cost of bedding, how come you guy's don't use bedding in the stalls? Stay warm & safe. Keep up the good work.
We rarely keep them in longer then one night. The bedding amounts to a lot more work when it comes to cleaning the stall. However this year we have had to keep them in often... When they are in for Two days we do put a light coating of bedding down so that it absorbs the liquids and keeps things tidy.
It was cool seeing some new parts of the barn on the walkway upstairs. Maybe it can be explored a bit more in later videos. Why did you not brush some of the snow off of their blankets/jackets before they came in? I realize they were in a hurry to get through the door, but it seems like it would have prevented puddles in the stalls. Just curious.
Global warming is getting worse in our beltway in Central Ohio. I paid a kid , TWICE to shovel my sidewalk and driveway. TWICE and that's it.About 10 years ago I sold my snow blower. Why? We just don't get enough snow anymore to use it.
I never get sick of watching the horses come in or go out. They're so cute.
Rocky and Buster are so cute, I just want to hug them.
The horses running in the snow was beautiful Thanks for sharing a stable life with us
Glad you enjoyed it

Time to eat!! And they come a running...how cute is that!!🤗🤗🤗
I am glad to see the horses are out of the weather and back in the stall . I am also happy to see none of the horses are wet .
Thanks Joel, for showing us how the donkeys and horses are doing.
Holy Moley....8"...YIKES! You're not all that far above me but you're the WINNER!!!! Use your hood, young man; keep those ears warm. : )
Save the donkeys!! They need big goofy star glasses
Joel I live in Texas I just could not handled all the snow freeze and cold. you do a wonderful job protecting all the animals. Stay warm and safe
I was thinking the same thing. I live in Cypress, just outside of Houston, and we are still reeling from the snow last February. I absolutely am impressed by how most people from snowy areas seem to just take it in stride.
That was so cute all of them running to the barn instead of taking their time they made me cold good job Joel

Hello, glad to see you and the horses again. Still learning the faces of the horses, i have the names just have to put with the correct horse. Keep the vídeos coming.
The thing about the horses being out in the storm is that they will appreciate being inside for awhile

Brrrrr. Those beautiful horses are in great hands. Super video.
LOL, you only had to call them once. I think they were ready to get inside.
O man I wish we atlease 10 days of snow.
beauteous.
Hello Joel
So much snow and so cold. We have been having a heat wave 61 to 63 C over the pond in England. I went to the seaside on Friday and walked along the beach in the sunshine. Tidal range 45 ft on Friday that is over a mile down the beach. Several riders out enjoying the sand. Lots of dog walkers, nice to seem them scooping the poop.
It was lovely to see the horses running up when they were called. How come one herd needed to be called and the other one they were waiting right by the door?
Both Herds came when I yelled. One just was waiting for me to open the door.
What a great start to spring, lol.
Seeing the horses coming to the barn through the snow was wonderful. You call the horses guys or boys. Are there no mares? I really enjoy your channel.
the running horses
Which horse snagged a tasty treat off the bale you were carrying? 😂
History of the stable. Just do several videos so we don't get over whelmed.
Say at 32°f how warm do the bodies keep the stable? With 32 dairy cows in our barn they'd keep it about 43 to 45 f inside.
If sleet or freezing rain is forecasted I wrap aluminum foil around the gate latches. Too old to stand out trying to thaw them out.
So cold.
WOW.....burrrr I have trouble when it's 55 in san diego
A comment on the need for a GFI receptacle at 14:30. “there’s nothing more permanent than temporary wireing”.
That made me laugh, I will have to keep that one for future use :)
All that snow looks absolutely gorgeous! I imagine the cold wouldn't be very comfortable but it looks pretty
75 degrees here in St. Louis today. You could have Caught a Bad Tan ☀️ on a Day like today. 😬👍
You guys up north are having some insane weather. I thought the weather was crazy here in the south. The north has us beat.
Is feeding from above for this herd just for safety and convenience?
awww joel that was so cute, they love you
They are amazing how they come n in order
it has been really windy and warm here in NC. yesterday was in the 80's, today mid 60's but very sunny. It will be warm there soon!

WESTOVER'S said Hi!!
Oh the donkeys are the STARS 🤩.. my husband just loves Buster and Rockie and can't wait to see the new donkey stall!
I can definitely arrange that!
Horse's usually do very well out in the bad weather, but it's great seeing them all so pampered.

All that snow and not a snowman in sight. Tsk Tsk Tsk. 😂
That's Gavin's job and I think he's still under the covers, where I'd be on a day like that.
Is there heat in the barn or just the horses body heat to keep them warm?
👍👍
WOW...BRRR!
Do you have any mares or is your stable a boys club only?
There will be more information on that soon :)
its ok dude.. yall will be picking peas in a few measly weeks , :)
Why do you have the horses in different herds? Why not all together?
Not all of them get along.
…also, I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt today in California. And I was dry under my shirt in case you were wondering.
Couldn’t you flip the current donkey door upside down? Just curious.
Joel do you have any heat in the barn ?
The barn is not heated.
Do you leave the barn lights on for the horses when they stay in overnight?
No we do not, with the lights off they settle much sooner. If the lights are left on they think they will be let out soon. So they are more anxious.
Oh man hopefully it get warmer where you are soon so you won't deal cold nasty weather any longer

Do you give your manure to the other farm for the vegetable fields?
Where’s Gavin when you Really need him on such a Miserable ❄️ Snow ⛄️ Day on the Farm ? 🤔👍
🤙🏻🇨🇦🤟🏻
Burrr...
Why don't you have some help
