- Ever wonder what its like to be a manager at a horse stable? Follow along with me as we take care of and manage over 19 horses!
My name is Joel, I work and manage Sunny Knoll Stables located in North Eastern Pennsylvania. There's always something happening as we do our best to take care of these beautiful animals. Between the weather and everyday shenanigan's, who knows what is going to happen next!
In this video we get to know one the horses that stay at our barn. Not to mention it's that time of the week again...
Joel if I am having a sad day, you and the Veggie Boys are my favorite channels. I always feel better when I watch you folks! Always so optimistic it helps me often! ❤
I really laughed heartily when I watched you do your time-lapse run through the mucking course, you are such a happy guy and luckily always joking, please just stay that way☘️💫
I like the way you show how much you care and enjoy being with the horses. Tell Kirsten thank you for taking the time to let us know more about Suede.
I really like it that you're getting the horses owners involved, they all have a different story.
Throughout the whole video Leah has this look that says "my human is strange, I need to make sure he doesn't hurt himself". :)
My favourite is watching the horses come inside or go outside,...love it! :) LOL walking the donkey or them walking you.
I grew up with horses and spent my summers at shows all over the US, jumping, gaming and rail. You are doing a great job with this channel Joel. It brings back so many memories of my childhood. Keep up the good work kiddo!
We always learn something when you put out a video.. this time is no exception , Joel you have taught so many things in this one : jumping , keeping a horse warm , keeping enough water , and care for their hoofs . Great video !
I appreciate that!
Jumpers are some of my favorites to watch - good form on Suede! Thank the owner for sharing her talent😃
I really loved hearing Kirsten talk about the jumping and learning about her horse. 🐎
Yay Rebel !!!! Got to see my buddy Casino too 👍. I think you should get you a big bag of miniature marshmallows and walk to each stall and share marshmallows with the horses. I bet your uncle would let you have a few apples to cut up. See ya on the next one !!! ... and hurry.
I’m trying to learn to recognize each horse but not much luck so far. Enjoyed hearing the owner talk about her horse
I always enjoy your videos, Joel. The jumping is something I've always wanted to know more about. BTW, manure day!!! WhooHooo!
Love the routine everyone works well together.
@@slomo1716 I found with my horses they had a low energy from climbing hills and grades but when they were on the farm that was flat they had so much energy they were rough housing all the time. So I really didn't look at that way.
Joel thank you for the laugh. You are the only person that enjoys muck out day. I truly enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the great job. Soon you will have 10,000.
Thank you very much!
Very Cool that this Horse was Retired as an Amish Working Horse to a Fun Jumping Horse. 👍
He loves every second of his jumping career! When ever he sees a jump now he will get excited and get more hyper.
Poncho you're okay now ❤ lea is so good with her job. And making some horses upset 😅 also buster's eyes are healed ❤. I always watch the video twice. Very informative, now about jumping horse. Rebel is so behave. My favorite part is when the donkeys are running with you and lea.
Joel it was really great to meet Suede's owner. He is a star and so very beautiful. He is one of my favorites. Weather is huge. Thanks for creating such an interesting, fun channel. Lea is so helpful!
Love hearing how the horses are used and what their history is.. wonderful 😊
I just realized that you have all male horses.
Hilarious! Never thought I would see someone so happy to scoop poop. 😂
Please thank Kirsten for showing us her horse. Love seeing horses running in a big field. A friend of mine has a 2 yo filly that is being kept in a very small place where there is no field to run in.
Thanks Kirsten, it was interesting to hear of Suede's background and current activities, thank you.
Great video. Ready enjoyed learning from the owner. Funny to watch Leia with the horses, our dog always liked to rile up one of our horses-and only that one 😁, it went on for years. Thank you, Joel!
Joel you are so entertaining and funny. Keep making more great videos.
That was nice insight from Kristen
Another great video. With all the laughs in between, thanks Joel
love horses and watching them. The donkeys are so cute.
Po.... 😂 His haircut reminds of of the 3 stooges..Love the horses, they have funny personalities. 😆😆🙂

Love your videos! What a wonderful life! Hard work but so much beauty! Thanks for sharing!
You could tell doggy gets a kick out of bugging that horse that doesn't like her.
This video was an interesting find! I saw that it was a year old and I just amazed at how much you and the stable have changed and grown. It was good to see all the progress in a years time. Thanks Joel

Yay! Thank you!
Good night Joelle and family season greetings
LOL, you sir are a huge ham. :)
Laya does a good job of helping you. Always ready for the next job. Thanks to Kirsten.
Hello Joel. Another informative and fun video. Saw a YT video from Sunny Knoll Productions from several years back called Horses in Winter. It shows aerial views of your horses running in fresh snow in your pasture set to music like you spoke of in this video. It is a beautiful video and I sure hope you get a chance to make more like it.
Hi Joel! Love your energy!!
Thank you 😁
Suede he’s beautiful and stuff a gorgeous horse . Also Joel it so nice that you explain about horse care and their needs and I love just watching your channel
Leia running/chasing when you were on poop patrol was hilarious. She was like “who we chasing? what we chasing? tell me and I’ll git ‘em for you! oh, we’re just playing... woo hoo!”
My grand daughters are learning dressage (7 & 5 yrs old), but they were out on a small trail ride and a dump truck spooked the dominant horse so mayhem reigned supreme. My oldest grand daughter got a broken leg (maybe? still waiting on x-rays) and her sister ended up with a bruised hip. They’re happy campers though and ready for their next riding lesson. Troopers 🥰🥰
I was an eventing, dressage and hunter/jumper photographer for many years. Nice to see it featured on your channel.
I feel sorry for the Veggie Boys. Joel's channel has a lot of knowledge.
I am sorry Andrew, I still watch you guys 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 Much love from Kenya.
Great video 👍 again looking forward to your next one
Awesome, thank you!
Great video Joel! Loved the interview with the horse owner.
LOVED your guest speaker! she's awesome :)
I did not guess right. Thanks for another great video.
Blessings 💖
Frozen road apples, nothing better! 😂 You got some big feet! Sounded like Frankenstein was running through the barn! 😂
Great video; thanks for all the interesting info!👍👏
Joel, thanks for featuring an owner and her info about jumping horse. Your vídeos are truly informational and interesting. I tried making a list of the horses names but the only one i know by sight is Poncho, but only because he is in a single pen. I am a follower of your vídeos. Keep them coming. I subscribed as soon as I found you so I get alerts everytime you download. I love horses.
Lefty, you need to market "It's Manure Day!!" T-shirts...

You guys look great
good job ,i came from veggie boys
Hey Joel just started watching your channel recently as I’m a fan of the veggie boys for quite some time now, my question is why do you let the horses out at night and have them in during the day? Just curious maybe you talked about it in an earlier video that I have not seen yet. Keep up the good work.
❤
Great video! Would like to know about Weather the horse!
Spitfire???
👍👍
Looks like you got to flatten or scrape that slope so that the horses don't hert them selves going into the stables .don't you think ,into not let me know on your next upload please .
Just curious if you guys ever over seed your pasture with winter rye. Seems like the horses would like that. I know, it is an extra expense.
I may have missed it, but what breed and age is Weather? Loving your videos!
How do you find time to work with The Veggie Boys ?? Greetings from Australia
How often does the red round hay holders get moved in the pastures?
Joel do you have an issue with rodent issues and how do you remedy that if you do?
Why don't the horses' stalls have bedding in them? Do they just lay on the bare floor when they sleep?
New to your channel, why do you guys have that many horses ?
Spitfire
Is Duke an old horse?
Joel, has Sunny Knoll Stables ever cared for a diabetic horse? if so, what does the treatment entail?
Curious, is there any heat in the stable?
Have you ever had a horse get choke? Thanks for the video.
Yes, horrible
Why do the horses stay out in the cold all night?
Did you put the horses outside for the night? Or was this morning?.
How long does it take the horses to learn which stall is theirs?
Is duke a bit sore or feet caked
Each video gets better! What will you do when you hit 10K subscribers?
Good question, any suggestions?
@@A_Stable_Life Maybe take us on a trail ride with Rebel?
