Honestly, Acaia is overpriced. Felicita Arc does the same has bigger surface and costs half that much. Timemore nano sells for 100, Felicita Incline goes for 100 too. You can be brand loyal all you like but if someone can take a Lunar and sell it for half the price you can clearly see who's ripping off whom...

Got my Timemore Nano this afternoon and it’s already repackaged for return!
The button sensitivity is unstable, and was already glitching and beeping like when I was pressing one of the buttons, just by touching the top surface (where there are no buttons).
Stand-by mode didn’t happen when the button was pressed but later automatically switched on randomly.
The buttons somehow got “pressed” when my finger was about 5mm away from the button (magic!).
Side buttons generally difficult to use without pushing the entire scale (can imagine the button positioning will be difficult with a flair58).
The button beep is super loud and abrasive to the ear drums (can turn off, but then it’s hard to tell if the button has been pressed, until the scale reacts after a 1-2sec lag). Overall, super annoying and frustrating to use.
I may have been spoiled with perfection until now, but I accidentally dropped and broke my HARIO Jimmy and figured I’d replace with something cheaper this time (can’t be that bad right?), but quality definitely fell in line with the price drop on this one.
The Nano has tried to pack in high grade functions, but the cheap build makes each of those functions sub-par (as is the case with most Chinese knock-offs.)
Think better off with a simpler cheap scale, if trying to cut costs.
Given Acaia Lunar seems to be labeled as over-priced, it’s probably not as good as the hype, so I will likely just get another Hario. The quality and precision of Japanese products are always unbeatable 👍

Display at an angle is so much more efficient when actually on the espresso maker with a cup on top...much easier to see.

The best scale imo is the felicita arc… better then the lunar due to it little extra space on top and price… it’s literally the same responsiveness as the lunar and shares the exact same functionalities

Ridiculous price for the Acaia. Better functions on the Timemore. I have used both and tbh I prefer the Timemore.

You're in the wrong hobby if you don't want to spend $100 on a scale for espresso! My reason is just responsivity: after using a cheap scale for 10 years, I just got fed up with workflow delays attributable to the scale settle time. I also prefer rechargeable instead of disposable batteries. I bought the Nano in preference to the Lunar based on perceived value.

I use a $10.00 scale and a $10.00 timer seperately. Don't bother coffee scales all are gimmicks.

cheap scales are slower and often don't have timers, that's the only complaint i have. I got the nano because it's fairly cheap and has these basic functions
